Released yesterday, and bound to elicit a crude response from the haters; becus25 puts all controversy aside with the release of Increasing Edition Revision C, or IE-C for short. IE-C is an alternate custom firmware for PSP enthusiasts who wish to try something new. There’s no harm in that, now is there?
IE-C changes include:
- Total Compatibility with two recoverys. If flock one, loads the other.
- If flock of flash0 the file vshmain_real.prx you will be able to be acceded igniting the PSP and pressing SELECT to a special menu that will allow you to connect the PSP by usb, to write in flash0 vshmain.prx official of firmware 1,50 and to write in flash0 recovery.elf to recover the PSP of possible brick.
Yeah, yeah… I know — it’s a little rough around the English edges. But you get the general idea. Props becus25, for keeping it real. Nice work.
As I’ve stated before, and I’ll say it again, only attempt flashing 1.62 IE-C from firmware 1.50. If you’re using a SE/OE custom firmware, downgrade first (to 1.50 via Recovery), then upgrade.

Like the new upgrades i am going to instal this Firmware on my second PSP and will be posting later on today.
Much love and admiration for this individual. We all need to respect this individual for what they are trying to do for us- wether you choose to use it or not is your choice but please offer thanks for the efforts made.
Yeah. Basically, this is the custom firmware for people who don’t want to go up to go up to newer firmwares, but want the extra safety of the recovery menu and the non-kxploit homebrew launching which may be easier for some at times.

NICE WORK BECUS25. THIS IS A NICE FIRMWARE. I INSTALD IT AND USED THE NEW RECOVERY AND IT WORKS PERFECTLY. KEEP THE GOOD JOB.
If only my bricked PSP had 2 recovery menus… I flashed mine with what i backed up from flash0 & flash1 (3.03OE-C) to get rid of some custom flash mods, stupid idea… turned it on & it worked, turned it off again & brick :S

If you have Custom Firmware, you should just be able to throw the oeupdate3xx folder & the firmware (3.03, 3.10, 3.30 patched) in RECOVERY folder (create one if there isn’t one) in the x:/PSP/GAME directory
If it is a total brick, he won’t be able to acces the Recovery mode.

upgrade to 2.0 then downgrade to 1.50
you dont have to upgrade to 2.0….. its custom firmware… just run the update flasher (the one in that link up there) to bring it back to 1.50, then to this firmware.
Great woork matey, it seems like hes focusin on the stability of the firmware parts first then hopfully he will come up with PSX emulation and ISO support etc, im all for this CFW keep up the good work!

Please ignore the ignorant assholes that frequent forums just to start crap with people. Your work is appreciated and valuble. You maynot know as much as DA does for now, but if you hang in there you are sure to develop something truely unique and thats what I’m waiting for. I admit I’m not using your CFW yet, but I’m certainly not against the idea. I just go with what I know. Keep up the work, I respect you.

Congratulations in yet another fine product.. Although i’ve just flashed to 3.40 OE-A, i did have to recover to 1.50, so took the oppotunity to flash to the previous release you made and have a play around with it..

Good work dude…I have an idea for you that would separate your CFW from others…add support for the flash2 and flash3 modules. Even though they are still theoretical, if you could implement them as a module storage, you could add extra modules to do things like xvid support or ogg support…maybe add the ability to animate gifs :D

If someone was to ask me which fw to choose, it would be 3.03 oe + (ie 3.30oe/3.40oe)
If someone wanted to get the most out of their precious, expensive little gadget.
Since both firmwares are free, it’s like “Here are TWO cars… a rusty Pinto and a brand new Escalade… your choice of one which you can have… FREE!!”
I’d take the Escalade. Call me crazy for choosing something that would be of greater use to me, more secure and would NOT blow up if tapped wrong.

The people that hate are trully ignorant. first of all, yes i do use dark alex custom firmware(just because its the 1st ive flashed with) and yes its is good, but just becuase i use it does not mean becus25’s one is bad. there is no valid reason to hate on it. those people are trully ignarant for doing so, if anything we should encourage becus25 to keep doing what he is doing and incentivize others to make more custom firmwares. now im not gonna give reasons why, one should be intelligent enough to realize why it would be better. enough said.
can someone pls tell me how can i get back to ver 1.5 from 1.62 IE-C ?? i tried the recovery but it doesn’t work. says game can’t be started. pls HELP.
in order to get back to ver 1.5 must the recovery folder be remaned as “IERECOVERY” ? it still doesnt work for me even tough i did rename it.

Honestly if he could have it so i could run 2.82+ games then i would flash to this in a heartbeat. its still customizable, has a much better recovery feature and all the while still maintaining that lil guy next a big corporation status. i dont use pops, and i dont use a lot of the 3.03+ featuresi was content with 2.71SE-C till games that needed higher
