Customize 3.10 OE’s Top Menu!

Its been long desired for 3.10 OE users, including myself… Now, put your hands together for the amazing ZiNgA BuRgA, for he has discovered a working method to successfully modify 3.10 OE-A’s top menu (topmenu_plugin.rco)!
After finally managing to insert a page resource (the one the 2.50 RCO lacked, causing crashes) I finally managed to make a customizable topmenu_plugin.rco file which worked on 3.10 Smile
To use this, please use my RCO Editor. If you have a customized topmenu for 3.0x, you can open it and select Extract All, open this 3.10 topmenu and select Replace Multiple. Please note that you should have RCO Editor v1.13b – earlier versions had a bug with replace multiple function.
Also, I found another issue with the RCO Editor. If you’re getting “Subscript out of Range” errors when using the Replace Multiple function – please delete the tex_transparent.* files.
This RCO is based off my “clean” 3.0x topmenu. Note that if you wish to remove some shadow/glow images, you may replace them with the attached “blank.dat” file.

why am i never the first to post lol. but i will stick with 3.03 OE-C. i can edit everything (already edited my theme, battery,gameboot, sound, waves, my psp is the shit) now all i need is a good cintro

Took me a while to find this info but go to http://zingaburga.freehostia.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=236 then under the “change xmb font” menu click on the firmware u are using and basically hunt around in teh flash_0 for the correct place to put your files but ALWAYS Copy to desktop the files your replacing.

yeah thanks but it only gives instructions for 3.02/3.03. Are they the same for 3.10?
-.- u dont need 2.6 dumps to get custom topmenus… Zinga provides the decrypted RCO for u.. All u do is get a custom one u want open it with RCO editor click extract all put it in a folder.. then get the RCO zinga gave u and open it up then click replace multiple goto the folder where u saved them at and ur done. Copy the top_menu to ur flash0 in VSH/RESOURCES. Zinga tells u all this in the above post…it doesnt hurt to read it…
3.30 oe-a is out!!!!!!!!!!!
if u have 3.03 oe-c stay on oe-c dont upgradeif ur on 3.10 oe-a2 its ur decision 2 downgrade 2 3.03 or stay on 3.10 but i recomend 3.03 cuz u get 2 play psx a lot easier dan 3.10

Well, yes and no. Yes because the firmware would load it, it would not crash upon boot-up, and no, because the topmenu rco’s attached are specifically made for 3.10… Some of the icons would be misplaced, or worse, makes the PSP crash when using those rco’s to 3.30. I advise doing a search on other forums because there are some releases of the topmenu rco’s specifically made for 3.30…
It actually does work just download a top menu rco file for 3.10 and use rco editor and replace the icons with your own or already made one and there you go custom icons for 3.30
Hmm.. I won’t argue with that…. All I can say is test if your custom icons works on your PSP version..
need a prx module that can run eboot.pbp from xmb meny in 3.30 oe-a…my old module only works in 3.03 oe-c plz help ….

I hope there will be a version of this to work on 3.30 and 3.40 oe firmwares. Thats the only reason i am still on 3.03 oe-c i love my customised icons,font,gameboot.
