Custom Firmware 1.62 IE A Update2 Released

becus25 is back with a new custom firmware for the PSP. Previously 1.62 IE A Update1 was the cause of a few bricks; however, those issues have been isolated and addressed in Update2. Despite the fact, bricking is always an involved risk when flashing the firmware, you can take another step of precaution by carefully reading the included documentation.
General functions:
- Hide corrupt icons.
- Skip Sony (SCE) logo.
- You can start non-kxploited EBOOTs.
- You can start modules.
- Contains two recovery menus. If it does not detect one, it loads the other.
- You can change the CPU clock speed in VSH/XMB by pressing HOME+SELECT.
- Software system version displays 1.62 IE A.
- Recovery and the XMB estan now fused. (?)
- Added security to the flasher to ensure a non-brick.
Recovery functions:
- You will be able to recover a semi-bricked PSP.
- Toggle USB.
- You can personalize XMB.
- You can activate/deactivate Autoboots (put the autoboot on \psp\game\boot\eboot.pbp ) from recovery without any kept configuration file.
- Recovery mode is now structured like a menu.

I wouldn’t dream on making a custom firmware. Dark Alex’s is perfect. Its up to date and supports 1.5 in one firmware. No bricks or anything. If you get bricked, your an idiot that deserved it and shouldn’t rely on newbs like this guys shitware. We should all should all be helping the real champion of psp hacks.

This is a pretty sweet update, but alas everyone is waiting for the 3.3OE-A CFW…so this will get overlooked as usual…

I’m not sure if a lot of people understand your question.
Allow me to try and clarify.
If you are asking if you can downgrade from a bricked 3.10 PSP to a 1.62, then your answer would be no. A bricked PSP isn’t much use at all, unless you have an Undiluted Platinum PSP Modchip, which may be able to “unbrick” your PSP. However, I have never tried this. Someone else may have had some experience with this.

here is what i think about this upgrade. its good to see a 4rth party working on custom firmwares. but this firmware really doesnt do much. the things that it can do isnt really a games on experience unlike 3.xxoe. plus there are more than average bricks trying to update to this firmware compared to an oe wich has almost no bricks at all. i think this update should have just been posted as news instead of a download. well keep up the cfw program writing dude and surely youll get more attention when you realease features that will distinguish your firmware from an oe. like wep key bypass, that sure would be good. and multie format player and increased enternet reciption and have the ability to actually watch movies on you tube threw the psp or movies anywhere on the enternet. or increased reciption for the infrared on the irshell, damn ide like to see that. also extra icons on the xmb. if you can get the halo demo trial version to run on the psp with enternet play you would domenate the homebrew scene for a while. well keep up the good work. and remember “things that will distinguish your cfw from dax’s cfw.
oh one more things that i would like to see added on the psp. an extra icon on the psp’s xmb that makes other psp’s shut off. you know utolize that psp’s infrared to send a wireless signal to another psp to freeze or shut off.hahahahahahaha. take it too school and everybody would be like what the fuck my psp is broken.hahahah kick ass. that is somethng we would all love to see…. make this possibly and youll have everyone updating to your cfw.
you know what else would distingush your cfw. when you turn on the psp have it go to a screen that resembles a windows computer on start up. with all the icons such as my computer, my documents and so on. and to scroll threw the screen you simply utolize a mouse and the square button can be your left click on the circle button can be your right click. damn man just add this features and well all be updating to your cfw. but if dax does this first well all be hooray dax did it again. but then again who is even listening to me?????????????? but you gotta admit this are some kick ass things ive listed.

nice listings. if you look a little above you would see my post with what i want to see on a cfw. now for num#2 xbox games will take up a lot of memory you are going to need a 4gig just for one game, possibly even more. assuming your downloading a full game. but then again if that does happen the graphics arent going to be crystal clear.
i hope ppl of psp-hacks at least reads that and thanks i noe that thats y i think a program that fakes your memory card into thinking its bigger would work
I wouldn’t hold my breath for a xbox 1 emulator. The psp has a 333Mhz processor, whereas the xbox has a 733Mhz processor. Not only that, as far as I know, the instruction set of the psp is totally different from the xbox so when that happens you need about 8 times faster for emulation so its just never going to happen, ps2 on the other hand was 300Mhz, so who knows.
Just as an aside, apparently the psone was a 33Mhz monster, so if thats anything to go on I really wouldn’t hold my breath of ps2 emu either.
As for your last request 0.o I don’ think that software has a say in the size of a memory card, damn pesky laws of physics and all that…
Most of these are pretty much impossible. X-box emulator? Not even the same console generation as PS1 so why compare. PS2 emulator? That’s practically what the PSP is anyway, but it’s still not as powerful as the PS2 so it aint happenin’. PC emulator? Maybe an old 386 PC, but even then probably not, and why? Change video cards? Sure, I’ll just plug in my Radeon x1900 and carry that around connected to something that couldn’t possibly power it. What drugs do you take? I want some. It must be nice to live that far from reality.

I have copy it and flashed it… it says 1.62 IE A ..
I restarted my PSP and when back to use i re-flashed it…. and now screen is BLACK nothing is happeneing…. even i removed memory card , UMD and even i removed battery for few mins… but when i start PSP …screen is BLACK… :(
