a few hours ago the new update 3.30 was avalable on network download and a few hours later 3.30OEA was avalbile to download HAHAHAHA! u know it will happen. go DARK ALEX!

the only reason why there isnt a 3.11custom fw is because the changes were so minor it was pointless. dark_alex did however make a plugin for popstation since that was the only thing worth paying attention to.

yea i have made a downgrader for 3.11 i just dont know how to let outher people download it i used an old downgrader and changed a file so it would work on 3.11 to some help of the deycripter

I really hope DA makes a 3.30 OE, because I really hate having to put my full-length movies (which are in the weird AVC format) into the 100ANV01 folder with the weird filename where I can’t even tell what it is from the filename… If that happens, it will be worth it for me to update and lose topmenu icons in my opinion.

Just noticed that for those have whatever version of OE custom firmware…. you cannot even upgrade to 3.30….. the PSP will report some rubbish like “seems like you are not using an official firmware…. you cannot upgrade…” so I don’t really care if the features are interesting….

Just heard the news that $ony is launching a battle with custom FWs; $ony claim that PSP with custom FW installed cannot use official fw again!

someone needs to make plugins to expand video compatablity, something like CW cheat having its own folder in /PLUGINS but for additional video codecs (to keep it simple for people who dont want to flash the files to their psp)
ive been wanting to rip some DVD’s to my PSP straight up for along while without having to wait for video converters to screw the video up

Personally after reading these SELFISH GREEDY IMPATIENT comments, if i was DAX i’d remove iso emulation. Sure backing up UMDs is ok but most people here dont own many to back up anyway, and if they did well its not THAT hard to carry a few extra umds right? Better that way than sony giving up on PSP altogether i think. If they did well eventually it’ll be out of sonys hands, every psp will eventually be hacked and running pirated games, its inevitable.

but i thank its high time we take responisibity for the developement of our psp’s. dark_alix has giving us all the tools we nead to help in the developement.
But most of us are happy just to sit by and take every thing we can get!! not knoing all the time and money it takes to make all the cool toys we talk shit about..

Im going to have to say that Im suprised its FW 3.30 and not 3.50. Sony must be planning something big for 3.50. It would be cool for the CFW of 3.30, but if Dark_slaex is thinking what Im thinking, he might wait till 3.50 comkes out till he makes the CFW.

it would seem that if you had memory stick custom firmware (MSCF), it could have its own genuine firmware decryptor and updater.

heres the advantage of MSCF vs custom firmware: custom firmware uses the psps internal flash 21 mb (kinda small) MSCF is limited to the memory stick size, UP TO 8 GB ( A WHOLE LOT MORE SPACE)!!!! DAX should just free up the flash space for something else

480 x 272 was never Full Screen Video, its just that the software Expands the Picture to fill the whole screen, Hence this Update will improve the quality of the Video / Film’s Resolution by alot More, it may take up more space on our Memory Sticks Sadly though………:(

when it is hacked, all the newbies will be saying how the security sucks
but they must think of one thing, if they change the security too much, the PSP will not be able to get past it

think of it like this:
you have a safe with a lock, you get a better lock, but are stuck with the same key
that key wont open the new lock
if they come out with a new generation of PSP, they will come out with a better firmware security and a new method of encryption that might not get hacked for a year or more, and you will all have a red faces from that bitch-smack

this is a question that i was wondering about last night. ok guys before yall start calling me out read this first ok. ok so sony is a chinese ran company. the chinese make the psp consoles. every time you guys buy a psp they make 100$ or so. now china doesnt support other countrys bullshit, meaning that they dont by american cars or xbox or anything american made or even made by other countrys. now sony makes the psp but who is making the games for the psp? is china making games for the psp? if they are do they account for a very small percentage of it? and is america and europe making all those umd games. ok so lets say i downgrade my psp and i take it to sschool and then my friend sees me playing resident evil 1 and he says cool how do you get that game to play on the psp, and then i start talking to him about downgrading,homebrew,and custom firmwares. them my friend says cool can you downgrade my psp and i say sure. then someone comes along and says so if i buy a psp it like if i were to buy all the game consoles because of the emulators, and i say yes. then that third person buys a psp. thats 100$ sony made right there. then we all start downloading games for free we all make accounts with pspblender.com and get the torrents and start downloading. then the companys that are making the games for the psp are losing money because were not buying there umds. now is sony at all making umds or are they making a very small amount of umds. because im sure that europe and america are probably making tons of umds and sony is just makeing money off those psp that we buy to just downgrade. now all the games taht dax offers use such as ps1. those games are old and they are too old to actually hurt companys when we pirate them. the same goes for all the other games for all these emulatores that we got so far. Now sony is ran by chinese, chinese are asians, asians are the smartest people in the world. but yet they keep getting there security codes for the psp cracked withing a matter of seconds, minutes, days. now on firmware 1.00 and 1.50 the ability to run unsigned codes was never patched up this is a big mistake that was never takin into consideration by sony. but yet the asians are the smartest people in the world how could they have never thought about piracy. now lets talk about another issue. say this to yourself “WHO THE FUCK IS DAX” hmm lets see he happens to be some guy who creats downgraders and custom firmwares. You know it seems that this guy can do these things by simply snaping his fingers. and this strmn guy working on the n64 emu. and all these other programers working on all this emus. who knows if all these programers are actualy being payed by sony to do all this for at the most dax,strmn, there probably with sony hell if anything there asians who live in china and work at the sony companie. well thats all i got to say what do you guys think plz reply with your oppinon.
