Now that’s some Funky Cold Medina! That is in fact the LED’s illuminating to the beat. All made possible with this chip…
And a little update from CyberPyrot…
This is a mod that has been in the development stage for a long time. Thread after thread I have decided to do the mod to appease our members. There have been many skeptics as to the possibility of this mod, well here it is all internal. The schematics will be posted soon but don’t expect detailed pictures until F00 F00 or Neubit does there version. I will however answer any questions about how this was done.

who cares the lights flash to the beat unless its a slow tempo beat u dont really notice it flashing that much because the flashes arent quick enough at least that is how it was at the beginning of the song…really no point to this mod just like no point in buying speakers for the psp to listen to music…just hook the psp up to a surround sound system.

Me thinks they connected the LEDs to the system where it identifies the sound output. Ofcourse I could be completely wrong on this..but it’s cool none the less.

how is this usefull in the slightest bit? would u honestly spend a couple of hours to take all your shit apart just so a couple leds light up when u play music? I listen to music on my headphones, i dont have lil ghetto speakers at home for that shit, I got a computer. This is gayer then those little asian kids who make their cell phones light up a shitload of colours when they are talking to there mom trying to look cool
man its purely cosmetic. i did this to my V3. i made it so it screen outter screen and everything pulses. and it doesnt seem to eat up bettery. its a cool mod but it truely has no purpose other to say show ur friends ur leet skills, at least for my phione.

this shit isnt “cool”. its a useless mod for nerds to be impressed. You telling me your going to be sitting on the subway with your psp in your hand some some chick is going to come up to you and be like “omg wow thats so cool!”. no no, you just look like a huge dork sitting there with your flashing psp. this gayness should not even be posted on the internet. no one wants to hook up speakers to the psp, you listen to shit portably on your headphones so it doesnt even matter if the lights are synched to the beat or not.

PS. The Universal Unbricker was a dissaster since the psp does not read any source of anything when its bricked, not even implementing a recovery mode to the psp would help….. Modchip is the answer . Ill keep looking for another way to do it but till then Farewell people.

this isnt nice work. this is called a slow news day. im impressed with the n64 emu on psp, or any other type of useful mods, like 2 analog sticks, this flashing led stuff is just pathetic, any moron can put a couple flashing leds in his xbox/playstation/psp, this shouldnt even be news on this site, but since there is rarely anything interesting this gets shine. only 11 year olds want to sit on the bus with their flashing psp in there hand. why do you need people to stare at your psp? is it because you drift through life unnoticed already? this isnt “cool”
