I think that somebody should make a program that has video chat, now that the chotto shot is coming out :D And i would like a MMORPG on PSP that would freakin ASSUME!!!!!!!! and would be cool with somekinda chat program…voice chat?? with the socom navy seal headset?? hmm… or maybe a program that makes adhoc over internet :D Like u have a program on your computer so that it tricks the PSP that the computer is a PSP and the other freind you wanna play with connects his PSP to the computer and to that server u both have and then the other computer becomes your freinds PSP like or something and u connect to him hahahaha i dont know :D:D something like that hahaha :P

More emulators! MAME & N64 need some attention, SNES is nearly perfect, the others are all great. Smaller cso? OS on PSP? A zip packer/unpacker?

My team is trying to develop a xbox emulator for psp but we been working on it for like a month and no success I keep telling them we need to just drop the audio and lower the bitrate and graphics to get it to work hehehe….

I Think the funkiest thing on it would be a DS emulator.. That’ll be one in the eye for ol’ nintendo.. Although how they’d impliment the touch screen is beyond me!!

Well, so far for my ideas: a MP3 mixing homebrew that is WAAAY Better than Ruckus for psp. Apparently the developer dropped the coding and released the source code. I’m sure somebody can take it and add some stuff to make it like a-almost perfect MP3 mixer. (like cd-mixers used by Deejays’) I have 2 psps, but not being able to do some stutter effects and some sound effects is a bummer. I need something that I can work with and use it live at gigs. (i’m not at a psp-dev/programming stage yet,…hopefully in the future).

Another Idea I would think is a homebrew that would be like a Sign maker using the PSP screen as the display, for big ass Giant scroll fonts. I think i need it for fast Road Rage signs when I’m driving at night. Needing Presets of words like: Get the F+++ out of my way, and the psp screen is big enough to display that with flashing words, I’m sure other ppl drivin at night would see. =)

other thing ……… Google Earth homebrew .. the way to browsing satellite map !!!!!

I hope someone is working on somethin like skype with video chat with that psp camera. That would be awsome. I also hope that sony would add a video streaming function or Macro media Flash number 7 or higher

I’d like to see something like XBox Media Center for the psp. I know it already has a built in media player but it blows. Plus with XBMC you can stream from a pc (which might suck with the 802.11b but hey i’ll try it).

I think it would be great if you could run the Palm OS on the PSP, think of all the apps and stuff that would become available!

I just wish someone would make a truly great media player that can play most any video found on the internet. If one already exists point me to it. And I mean play it without streaming it from my PC.

The day psp-hacks ends i will lock my PSP up kost likely and forget about it, and sony will loose in profit cuz no1 wud want their systems cuz it can only reli b hacked with old stuff then nothing more. HOWEVER i do not think tht day has yet cum. I AM 12 years old, and AS a 12 yr old i think hackers will be hacking when I am in my old folk’s home. I may even teach my own children to hack, if i do not dye before 25.

what about a multiplayer homebrew game that plays like Soldat. U know, 2D side scrolling shooter that looks like worms. And a dedicated server for windows and linux. PSP would be perferct for that kind of a game, scroling with the face butons and aim with analog stick.
I love 2D side scrolling games, thats why i miss games like FlashBack or BlackThorn from the old days.
Also a linux on PSP would be nice( evan with no X server if that is a problem for PSP hardware).
PSP MMORPG in the style of EndlessOnline would be great.
Another idea would be to make a simple game, lets call it Button Wars so u know what i mean. U could trow a button combination at ur enemy and u could block ur enemy attacks of button combination by entering the same combination before the button hits ur base or something. This shuld run in real time. Something like in game Daxter when u have to put a button combination in order to hack the security doors. Its just that this time u could fight back. U could force ur enemy in to submission by entering hard combination. Force him to defense more then attack. Attacks shuld be made so that u have certain amount of button combination, so u cant attack all the time, lets say like 10 buttons at once, then u can send another attack of 10 buttons and so on, By pressing a button u could switch attack and defence so u can do both at once. Buttons shuld have certain speed, to provide a rythem. This could be a game for more that 4 players, it could be made as a virtual grid, were u have to face enemys from 4 directions, so anyone that joins a fight would be placed at the edge of that grid or fill the empty space where one enemy was destroyed. Something in this way…

WELL i bricked my psp 2weeks ago and i gonna sell my meory stick and everthing else i own for the psp.
I fixed my friends psp screen then i bricked it so i had to jack one a Gamestop. I was so scared i was almost caught.
Atleast i earned 80 bucks he thinks its his.

I WANT TO BUY A PS3 trying to make money by downgrading or fixing a psp of my friends.
I alredy downgraded 5 psp and i got 50 bucks.
I almost got all the money to get a ps3!

the ability to make a custom firmware and update to it by using the method you use for offcial updates, from anyfirmware version you have. That would be a great help

I want an oh-so-illegal WiFi-Sniffer-WEP Key Cracker, cos most of the protected AP have only WEP. I’ve never encountered an AES encrypted AP.

I think most the WEP users don’t use WPA type of security to have better compartibility with their other WiFi products. Kinda amazing to find AES stuffed into the PSP.

The most brilliant game of all time UFO – Terror from the deep and it’s predes. UFO – Enemy Uknown on PSP will be a super news. And they did run on the same rigs as Transport Tycoon we already playing. Many people loved those games.

We won’t see any FREE phone service for the PSP because it costs too much to run the servers/network for VOIP or cellular service. We might see, say, a Vonage mod some day, so that you can use your PSP like one of those cool phones you use on your wireless router.

perhaps a new kind of xmb with moroptions like a snes emu icon next to the music icon, or something like that.

I dont know if anyone has noticed this as being annoying, or if infact it has been dealt with in newer custom firmwares (I’m still on 3.02 OE) but they need to sort out the Music section in the xmb so that you can choose the option of keeping music playing once you back out of the music section. So you can browse anything and still have your music going. I hate being limited to keeping it stuck in the album im listening to. I want to listen to music and search for more next song whilst it plays. Or looking at pictures. And yes, I know there are other programs that can do this. But it’s just not as good. It needs to be incorporated into the xmb. And if it already has, tell me the version and i’m there!! Also, XMB div x support. Again, same dealio, i know you can run them through a second party program, but that’s just pants!

Oh yeah, and we need a San Andreas Stories. I know it aint gonna happen, but we do need it…

what would happen if someone plugged a normal webcam, with a slightly modified usb cable(slice+tape) into psp, then clever person now makes homebrew software to use the non descript webcam, maby through xmb? maby it just works anyway, has anyone tryed this? would be cool…no waiting for chotoshot, much more fun to mangle a webcam :)

Just a silly question afx237v7 … why not just get a dongle to convert a standard USB plug to the psp, be easier to mess with, then you dont have to destroy a cam.

I loved the comment halfway about the psp making toast….it does have a laser after all…. One sad day, the psp will be old, just like the coolest gadget 15 years ago, the Sega Gamegear did. Granted…the psp is the most ‘hackable’ and ‘useful’ game console to EVER come out in my oppinion. Heck, not even hacked, the thing easily is in the top 5 best game systems ever.

The only thing that would be total killer…would be a ps2 emulator, i mean, we have the 4 gig chips now so size isnt a problem for more than 90% of the game library…and if it was structured like the ps1 emulator…with the PS2 core, it should work flawlessly. The PSP is more powerful than the PS2, which in my oppinion is absolutly amazing since it runs on batteries. As for Sony…I think its unexcusable that they did not release the different colored systems and accesories in the United State….WHY!!!!???

I’m surprised no one else thought of this but I think someone should design a piece of hardware for the PSP that utilizes the USB port and acts as a second controller for emulators and homebrew! Basically just a second controller for all your friends that want to play 2-player and don’t have a PSP. It could be universal for every emulator as long as the people who designed the emulators were willing to support it and upgrade their code…

It would be nice to make a quick Mapquest type deal. You use a prog like Google maps or mapquest or something, then you download the directions to PDA ( or however else you would do it), then that converts to the program on the PSP, giving you verbal commands just like a real GPS system with maps and roads and stuff.
