PSPSSH v1.0.1: SSH2 Client for the PSP
greg | March 17, 2007
Something new and useful for PSP enthusiasts / system administrators on-the-go… Homebrew dev. extraordinaire, ZX-81, has released a port of Matt Johnston’s “Dropbear” SSH2 server & client.

Dropbear is a small SSH2 Server and Client running on a variety of POSIX-based platforms. It has been mainly developed by Matt Johnston (see matt’s web site).
I’ve sucessfully ported the version 0.48.1 to the PSP.
The terminal Vt100 emulation part of PSPSSH is based on the work of Danzel for his Telnet client for PSP.
Many thanks to Matt Johnston for this nice SSH client, thanks to Danzel for his Virtual kerboard and his Vt100 stuff, and to all PSPSDK developpers.

Adam you N00B
anyways cool
ima download this now
thanx Zx >.>
I hope KangKengKingKong adds IR keyboard support. :)
finally summin new(thAT I WONT ACTUALLY USE)
we need a mac emulator more powerful than the web browser 1
Now all we need is irssi for the PSP to either run it from the PSP directly or SSH to it using a shell and running irssi from the PSP!
Cool stuffs:D
PERFECT!! Now I need to use the IR keyboard with this and I’ll be able to use my linux server from my psp.
so uh…what exactly does this do?
sorry, the instructions didn’t exactly….explicate everything
Matt Johnston from the Discovery Channel show “It Takes a Theif” that airs every weekday at 6:00 P.M. eastern? …great show.
So what does this do again? (._.) I dun understand…
Cool, but what does it do?
If you don’t know, you don’t need it.
the always make point less homebrue for th psp
okay ssh is basically connecting through a secure connection to a remote computer. if you want to know more about it, google it. and you noobs saying that this is a worthless app, guess what you guys are, NOOBS!!! good job on the programmer who ported it
Thx
Zx
This is so nice! Just what ai needed… spanx :p
Thanks, useful for my webhosting and restarting my game server
I’m having problems using this on 3.10-OE. I can connect to my server fine, but once it’s connected I can’t enter any commands! I’ve tried using the keyboard (the characters just don’t appear), and the command list doesn’t seem to do anything either. Any suggestions? I’m running this from the “GAME” folder, which is set to fw 1.5.
I happens even to me on several servers, i had to wait (let’s say up to 60 seconds to get the shell prompt :( ).
At home it works fine for me, when i connect to a linux sshd …
Zx
I tried waiting as you suggested, but still ha no luck. After a while, the Memstick light starts to flash, and the program exits to the XMB! I’m connecting to a linux sshd on a Gentoo box by the way.
whats this do
this is definitely a sign of great things to come. 90% of homebrew has focused on games. thats great and all, but just because we’ve run out of game systems to emu doesnt mean we cant keep adding new levels of functionality to our units.
DONT U SLEEP!!!
I knew it :P i knew u couldnt stop releasing. Nice work man.. I cant wait to see what ya come up with next. Your a true asset man. Thanks for all your hard work.
thoes who keep asking what’s it do. Like someone said if you dont know you don’t need it. But I’ll go farther, it lets you connect to a shell or server. Its like telnet but ssh. No it’s not useless, it’s cool. But if all you do is play games, you don’t need it. I use it to connect to my shell and log into my bot from the shel I ssh too. I can watch my bot on my psp from any room in the house or a hotspot. I can monitor my ch’s on irc from anywhere now which is pretty cool. I can even chat on IRC through my shell which I use this to connect to. Its a great app and if you think its lame thats fine, you just aint 1337 enough. Now if someone would make a wardriver.
Looks promissing but doesn’t work for me.
After I enter server details and try to connect it crashes every time… Guess it’s still buggy.
