Custom Firmware 1.50 Increasing Edition B Update2

Add a little pizazz to your PSP with a new custom firmware from developer becus25; who has actually a number of PSP developments notched in the ol’ homebrew belt (see source link).
Custom Firmware 1.50 Increasing Edition B (IE B Update2) extends the functionality of 1.50 by adding new functions and configurable options. Lets take a closer look at the general/recovery features:
General functions:
- Hide corrupt icons.
- Skip Sony logo.
- You can start non-kxploited eboots.
- You can start modules.
- Contains two recovery menus. If it does not detect one, it loads the other.
Recovery functions:
- Recover a semi-bricked PSP.
- USB mode.
- Personalize the XMB.
- Toggle amongst 3 XMB icon styles on your memory stick.
The recovery console caught my attention with the granted ability to easily customize the look & feel of your XMB. Copy modified .rco file(s) to ms0:/ieflash and perform the actual flash via recovery. In order to recover from a semi-bricked PSP, copy an official Sony firmware update to ms0:/psp/game/ierecovery. I’d of course recommend using the 1.50 EBOOT.
As with any custom firmware… USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
Everything else, look at “readme.txt.” Read it thoroughly!

All this stuff is already available in 3.10 OE and there’s still room for improvement there and forward. Why make stuff that’s already been done when the latest OE firmware has all the functions this thing is working on?

Let me tell you something, you negatively criticize someone else’s work, but you should remember that this is how everyone starts. You should not call this a piece of shit because then you are comparing it with other more experienced works which OBVIOUSLY are more advanced. The only thing you are doing is criticizing the developer telling him that he can’t do anything good when it comes to Custom Firmwares. I wish you could be a developer so you could really see what it involves.

I think everyone should broaden their horizon about other programmers and depend less on DAX. If we never try the other custom firmwares we would never be able to experience the uniqueness of the other custom firmwares.

these updates are good, although i’m not gonna use ‘em, it might turn into something better. we can’t just rely on DAX. what if he gets run over?!?!

I wouldnt mind using this if there was a way to bypass the ISO FW check. So i can play all my game of MS on it :D i like 1.50 better still for some reasons O_o
Even if that was possible, chances are the ISO’s wouldn’t work because of needing higher version modules in the firmware.

My question is..why is anyone still on 1.50? They’re either to dumb to upgrade their system or their completely retarded in thinking “If I upgrade, i’ll just be like everyone else..a follower”. Now if someone were to create a homebrew or app. that could attract women but it was only on 1.50 I could understand people still useing 1.50. Otherwise? It’s useless.

if your 1.50 psp is not customized with icons, fonts other stuff and you are not n00b and now how to upgrade you have a change of 99.99% of successfull upgrade… it’s a simple flash… if you haven’t CUSTOM FIRMWARE 100.00% your psp will brick if you flash lot’s of times !!!
I think 3.10 oe is better for the simple reason that the 3.10 firmware has more upgrades from SONY that of 1.50, am i right?

I have a wealth of knowledge about my PSP and have sent it through many phases. I still run 1.50 and use DH for other perks. What is one reason why someone would stay with 1.50 and not use any Custom OE’s besides nostalgia?
Weren’t the 3.XX OE custom firmwares designed to incorporate the best of both 1.50 and 3.01- 3.10 ? Why would you want to emulate the firmware (OS) and then run stuff off it? Wouldn’t it be better to run it natively without the need to first fire up the emulated enviroment just to play a game?
Exactly, 1.50 is outdated. Anyone still running 1.50 on their PSP is in need of some desperate medical attention.

Semi-Bricked means that you can turn it on while holding the right shoulder button to bring up a rescue menu. This is a function of the firmwares like 2.71 OE, 3.03, and 3.10 OE’s. Sometimes something goes wrong and this menu can fix it.
Why did my psp turn black wen i pressed select to retart. I see that the Memory Stick does load, but nothing shows….Please Help!!!!!
