Those still running FW 1.50 refusing to upgrade, for whatever reason, will be pleased to know BOOSTER has returned with a new version of DevHook supporting full 3.11 firmware emulation. And that’s all I gotta say… You know what to do, there ain’t nothing to it but to do it. Enjoy!

Got some videos you need to keep secret? You don’t want your girlfriend discovering how sick you truly are… And for that reason alone, we know exactly why you’re downloading this plugin.
The first release of “HideMov” is for OE custom firmware and permits you to hide videos from appearing under the XMB’s video menu; that is until you enter the program’s button combination to unlock these files. When enabled and your PSP boots the video menu will report, “There are no videos.” Enter the correct key combo (found in Readme.txt) and they’ll become viewable.
WARNING! If you’ve entered the video menu while it’s in one state (shown or hidden, and then you switch it, nothing will seem to have changed if you immediately open the video menu (the PSP cache’s it). To “update” the video menu, just go into the memory stick option of another feature (such as game, saved games, photo, etc), and the cache will be cleared! (Thus the video menu will have updated) I’m trying to find a way around the problem
Currently you’re unable to set a custom key combo and the module can potentially be disabled, so don’t underestimate your mom’s PSP knowledge quite yet. I like to call it security through obscurity.
Not a bad idea, pj1115. Good work. ;)

Comments (73)Remember pspWeather? Initially developed by mcdongle and later “tweaked” by ZX-81; pspWeather will keep you up-to-date with the latest weather conditions for your area, or anywhere for that matter, as long as you’re within range of a wireless access point.
Today mcdongle is back on top of things with a fresh version, v2.0 beta.

Comments (274)Mediumgauge has released an update to his popular homebrew app, PSP Filer. Functioning as a complete directory & file management tool for your memory stick, flash0/flash1, and the UMD drive, PSP Filer also includes a set of integrated applications. You can view memory usage, pictures, text, rip UMDs directly to “ms0:/ISO”, and I won’t fail to mention “hacker mode.” Hacker Mode allows you to mess with flash0 & flash1 — flash your custom edits, .rco files, etc… Use HACKER MODE with caution!

Comments (25)NIGathan has shared a modified “impose_plugin.rco” which contains a new volume bar styled to resemble that from Windows Media Player 11. Another great mod to unique-ify your XMB!

Snazzy! For those wishing to create their own, grab a copy of ZiNgA BuRgA’s RCO Icon Editor and modify the corresponding .rco file (impose_plugin.rco). Remember to create a backup first!

Comments (61)Zora_182 has released an update to his PSP platformer, Super Mario Brothers PSP v0.03!
The aim of the game is to save Peach, who was kidnapped by Bowser. This addictive game never gets boring, it will have you playing your PSP for hours!
Here’s what Zora_182 had to say:
I redid the texts, makes the game go smoother, meaning that it crashes less often
I also added a little extra, so enjoy!
Sound good?

Comments (30)“Hello everybody!” ZX-81’s Intellivision emulator has been updated to v1.0.9 with the assistance of DrNicket. The ol’ 894 kHz (less than 1 MHz) Intellivision console from Mattel dates back to the early 80’s — when I was just a wee lad… It’s a minor update, but is well appreciated.

Comments (16)Yup, another custom firmware revision, and nope — it’s not from Dark_AleX. This particular release comes from developer eiffel56 and is sure to please.
Custom firmware 1.53 is built on 1.50’s underlying weaknesses with additional goodies that you see below. Enjoy the simplicity!
Installation and usage notes from the readme (readmeeng.txt):
Just copy all files from MS_ROOT to your Memory Stick and run the installer. WARNING: It could BRICK your PSP. You do this on your own risk! The installer can Update any 1.50, 1.50 Custom Firmware POC, 1.50 EE-A.
Just hold R while booting up your PSP to enter the recovery menu. From here you can unbrick your PSP and set some options.
To activate the boot menu, hold L while booting. From here you can start the XMB, iRShell and an own UI.
Note for iRShell: You need an unkxploitet 2.xx Version. Simply copy everything in flash0:/irshell.To show the uxMB menu, press select in the XMB. From here you can activate USB, start ISO/DAX files and so on.
Note for ISO/DAX loading: You need an UMD inserted to use this Feature. If a game wont load, hook the file in XMB(X Button) and try to start it via MPH Game Launcher. To load plugins, simply put the path to them in the ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/plugins.txt.
Note: if you’re using an OE custom firmware, you’ll need to flash back to 1.50 [via the recovery console] first. Then run the supplied 1.53 installer. Good luck!
Splendid job eiffel56!
