PSP IR Frotz v0.6
greg | February 26, 2007
Something new for the PSP from developer KangKengKingKong. What is it you ask? PSP IR Frotz!
“Frotz” is a PSP port of dumb Frotz. Frotz, huh, whatchu talkin’ ’bout GregCube? Frotz allows you to play classic Infocom adventure games — those which have surfaced many moons ago… These old titles are entirely text-based. And with that said, prior to the arrival of TyDoPad, text entry was quite tedious; however, that’s been addressed and PSP IR Frotz is now playable!
This homebrew lets you play all those good ole Infocom games from years ago. I wrote this so that I could play HHGTTG on my PSP. Input was way too painful on the PSP until TyDoPad showed up.
Since it is a port of dumb Frotz, it will probably work up to Z5 games only.
PSP IR Frotz supports both the Palm and Targus Universal IR wireless keyboards.
As with most homebrew, the remaining details are in “readme.txt”. Enjoy!

Interesting bit of information - according to the BBC the latest firmware is 3.03 (hahaha). Dickheads. Anyway, some interesting stuff about our favourite hackers:

Quote from BBC -
“Within days of the release of the Noobz team’s downgrader and Dark Alex’s Open Edition firmware, Sony updated its firmware, fixing the flaw which makes unlocking possible.
Anyone buying a new PSP with this firmware installed will be therefore be unable to unlock their console - at least until Noobz, Team C+D and Dark Alex and his crew find another exploit and the whole cat-and-mouse game played by Sony and the hacker teams repeats itself. ”
Read the item to the end fool! What a prick. Where do they state that 3.03 is the latest?
from BBC news http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/6397797.stm
“Noobz, Team C+D, and a group led by PSP hacker Dark Alex - co-ordinating their efforts over the internet, found a flaw in the most recently released version of the firmware - version 3.03.”
end of the first paragraph
is where 3.03 is to be found,
but as you see, just like me
they don’t really have their ear to the ground.
True true - I stand corrected - they seem to have written one thing and then written someting entirely different a few paragraphs later. Hopefully they will change this glaring error.
Hopefully you will also apologise to me.
