PSP Filer v3.0 Released

Mediumgauge has released an update to his popular homebrew app, PSP Filer. Functioning as a complete directory & file management tool for your memory stick, flash0/flash1, and the UMD drive, PSP Filer also includes a set of integrated applications. You can view memory usage, pictures, text, rip UMDs directly to “ms0:/ISO”, and I won’t fail to mention “hacker mode.” Hacker Mode allows you to mess with flash0 & flash1 — flash your custom edits, .rco files, etc… Use HACKER MODE with caution!
PSP Filer v3.0 changes:
- fixed a bug that caused PSP Filer to crash after changing the language from Japanese to English or Spanish and then attempting to rename a file
- in Spanish mode, special character could be used for the filename in version 2.9, that was a bug so I removed this feature. Even in Spanish mode, user can only input English.
- added Portuguese mode. (thanks Nutri Kazuma to translate)
- added color edit function.
- added CPU indicator.
- fixed a bug that 4 or 16 colored gray scale PNG was not correctly drawn.

ripping umds feature sounds awesome
Pretty cool, but the OE firmware has basically rendered this obsolete. I mean, IRSHell for file management and Recover mode for flash access… It just doesnt seem as great as it used to be

Well, this app combines those features into one and also it rips umd’s… how does irshell or recovery console do that? It doesn’t. Plus, this has other additional features that sepperate it from others….

Strangely enough, I can’t get PSP Millionaire to run from the xmb but I can execute the prog from inside this program and then it works.

this program cannot render your umd drive useless, stop posting bullsh*t like that. Your obviously incapable of common sense and thats probably why you fu*ked up your psp……
dont know what happened but i switched to the umd by usint the sart buton and it just sat there for an hr so i power cycled the psp and then the xmb was not displaying the umd put in a movie and ran it and the drive clicked started working again

that cat.bat file created by a ripped umd can be used on other umd rips?? or is only for the ripped umd??
how to change the language?
while the app is running, push select, a menu will popup, then push O to change languages.
shut the f*** up nukem. It works perfectly fine. If your incapable of using a simple program, dont put others off by talking rubbish. Yes you can mess up your psp if you dont know what your doing(Not your UMD drive), but its not rocket science to use this.
This is simply the best file browser out there, and I’ve tried them all. If you are looking for a pretty GUI look elsewhere but if you are more interested in core performance, PSP Filer is the best. It even fixed some corrupted files on my mem stick, which XP (USB connection) and other browsers were incapable of.
