Dago^WATT has released the latest demo of PrometeusPro to the public. The one and only app that does it all on the Mac! New in v0.10.1 is CDDA support — now directly rip your PSX games (from cd) to 3.03 OE compatible format with the included background music; just what you’ve been asking for!
There has been a couple of additions since the last demo release:
Donating $1 will get you the full version of PrometeusPro. The demo permits each pro function to be used 3 times, then you must restart the app.

I love this app. It makes my life easier. Atleast I don’t have to boot up my windows box as much
finally… some love for mac users.
boo mac
:p
Get over it. There’s 3000 Windows apps, and you don’t see the Mac users crying in every post about Windows apps.
:D you rock
i used to love mac till i saw my myspace page crash a mac LOl that was the end of me wanting a MAC
must have been a crap mac. myspace works fine on my macbook
it was the newest MAC powerbook plus i crashed a IMAC running the dua; core PROC a gig ram and again it was my myspace page that did it its odd o well
who needs myspace?
i use it to keep in touch with friends out of state plus my computer can load it no prob and my specs are AMD 62 3.00 proc 1 gig RAM 128 NvIdia Geforce MX 400 and a 500 gig HD
Thats why you don’t deserve to use a Mac, FUCK MY SPACE
hey guys, when i rip a cd into a bin file with this i also get a file with the extension .toc whats that file for? do i rename it to AT3 and use it as background music?
wish i could help you man… i’m still trying to figure this out too… tutorial anyone?
i would really love to know what that file is as well. i tried using this program for Doom, which has 7 audio tracks along with the game. It finally gets past the load screen and plays the game, but there is no music, and when there is music, it’s really loud static.
what did you do to get the game to work peopleman?
I ripped the Doom PSX Cd with the Cd Ripper Prometeus comes with. Then created an eboot. The game play and sound effects work fine. It’s just that, when there’s just supposed to be music playing, like when you beat a level, there is really loud static.
tell me if i’m wrong (sorry for all the questions.)
you put the game in
started prometeus
clicked on the psx-psp tab
then clicked on rip correct?
how did you get that bin file into an e-boot?
It’s ok. That’s simple, after you click psx->psp tab and click rip, a bin file should be created somewhere on your computer. (Prometeus should ask you where you want to put the file.) After this step, you will click the “Open” tab above “rip” and open the newly created bin file. Prometeus will ask you if you want to force game id. if you already know game id, click “cancel” and type it in yourself, if not, select ok to force prometeus to find it on the game itself. (Some games take EXTREMELY LONG to find game ID) Your pretty much done after this, unless you want to change the background and icon, so it matches your game, cuz what you see on the psp picture at the bottom of the program is essentially what your gonna see when you highlight your newly formed psx game file on your psp. After that, simply press start and prometeus will create a folder, keys.bin, and eboot on your desktop.
thanks for taking the time to type that. once i get time i’m gonna try out bust a groove and a couple of my import games and see if those work.
thanks again.
Finally a mac dev joins the psp scene!
I am pleased with this app
just when we need it on PC they throw a mac version, i want to convert PSX games to 3.03 OE-C with an easy GUI
…use ziga’s app which has been around for ages and updated?
I would say theres a difference between “Donating” and “Paying” in this case i would say it is to Pay for the full version. Too bad… No visacard. No nice application for your mac in full version. I bet a big part of the programming time for the authors to program the “Fullversion/Demoversion” Part of the program is very big. Too bad. :(
wat!!! i dont get this!!
Paying for something non-material stuff is a useless idéa. Why do we have to pay for something we can’t smell? :p
what is a mac?
I heard you can get em at Mc Donalds
Mac’s are what you use to do mac attacks and mac and cheese
people who bash computers and come on here to start arguements about this…are pure losers. i mean come on, theyre fuckin computers. i bet you probably live in your moms basement.
Is there a program similar to this that has all the functions for a PC?
Mac and Windows are two different worlds
Both have DRM
Both do the same functions
But Windows is where P2P originated
Well your point makes a lot of sense since we still live in the past, yeah? I mean, none of us live in 2007 where we can P2P in any OS we choose.
So touché for the excellent dis to Macs! You sure showed everyone which OS to use for when we travel back into time and need to do P2P years before PSX gaming was an option on PSP - the whole point behind this topic.
is anyone having problems with timing? i tried bust a groove and the beats of the lights aren’t matching up with the beats in the song. anyone?
im having trouble with the program, evry iso i download i cant convert it, the application force quits it self before it starts. but it only works with .bin files i got from ripping my own cd with this.
it keeps crashing on me every time i try to convert a .bin file into an eboot as well. i’ve heard something about incompatibility with PPC based macs, though it says it’s a universal binary. anyone have a fix to this?
hey it wasnt that, it was a bug, dago said so on his site, i posted a comment he said it was a bug and that he found it, hopefully he will update it.
hey guys dont download this version, get the one from dago’s web site, he just fixed the bug!
Oh yeah, I love my Mac, peace…flower power…VW Beetles…vegetable rights, let’s all wear flowers in our (pubic) hair…dude!
Love
Kenny
