Get over it. There’s 3000 Windows apps, and you don’t see the Mac users crying in every post about Windows apps.

i would really love to know what that file is as well. i tried using this program for Doom, which has 7 audio tracks along with the game. It finally gets past the load screen and plays the game, but there is no music, and when there is music, it’s really loud static.

what did you do to get the game to work peopleman?

    2007-02-01 15:34:22

I ripped the Doom PSX Cd with the Cd Ripper Prometeus comes with. Then created an eboot. The game play and sound effects work fine. It’s just that, when there’s just supposed to be music playing, like when you beat a level, there is really loud static.

tell me if i’m wrong (sorry for all the questions.)

    you put the game in
    started prometeus
    clicked on the psx-psp tab
    then clicked on rip correct?

how did you get that bin file into an e-boot?

It’s ok. That’s simple, after you click psx->psp tab and click rip, a bin file should be created somewhere on your computer. (Prometeus should ask you where you want to put the file.) After this step, you will click the “Open” tab above “rip” and open the newly created bin file. Prometeus will ask you if you want to force game id. if you already know game id, click “cancel” and type it in yourself, if not, select ok to force prometeus to find it on the game itself. (Some games take EXTREMELY LONG to find game ID) Your pretty much done after this, unless you want to change the background and icon, so it matches your game, cuz what you see on the psp picture at the bottom of the program is essentially what your gonna see when you highlight your newly formed psx game file on your psp. After that, simply press start and prometeus will create a folder, keys.bin, and eboot on your desktop.

I would say theres a difference between “Donating” and “Paying” in this case i would say it is to Pay for the full version. Too bad… No visacard. No nice application for your mac in full version. I bet a big part of the programming time for the authors to program the “Fullversion/Demoversion” Part of the program is very big. Too bad. :(

Mac and Windows are two different worlds

    Both have DRM
    Both do the same functions
But Windows is where P2P originated

    2007-02-02 15:49:09

Well your point makes a lot of sense since we still live in the past, yeah? I mean, none of us live in 2007 where we can P2P in any OS we choose.

So touché for the excellent dis to Macs! You sure showed everyone which OS to use for when we travel back into time and need to do P2P years before PSX gaming was an option on PSP - the whole point behind this topic.

it keeps crashing on me every time i try to convert a .bin file into an eboot as well. i’ve heard something about incompatibility with PPC based macs, though it says it’s a universal binary. anyone have a fix to this?
