After much praise from the fine IRC’ers in #psp-hacks, Team Reign has released what they call the “Complete AIO Upgrading & Downgrading Package.” Complete AIO (All-in-one) is a collection of packages to assist noobs with downgrading any PSP — from firmware 1.51 through to 3.03.
All 5 installers are packaged using ADePSP’s PSP Installer.
If you’re running any FW below 2.80 (1.51, 2.71, etc…), you’ll want to upgrade first using “280EasyUp” and then downgrade back to 1.50 using “280EasyDown.” You could also go straight to 3.03 — see below.
If you’re running a firmware version between 2.80 and 3.03 (2.81, 3.01, etc…) you’ll want to use “303EasyUp” and back to 1.50 with “303EasyDown.” — You get the idea. And yes, the unpatched Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories UMD is still required.
After you’re staring in awe at your new 1.50 PSP… Why not upgrade it to Dark_AleX’s 3.03 OE-C with “303OEC_EASY.”
Although the installers include everything and copy everything to the correct location on your memory stick, I still recommend reading through the included text files for guidance and any potential gotchas.
As with any downgrader: USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Eh i really don’t trust this bad boy. Although if you decompile GTA: LCS than yes it’d be possible to downgrade. But i don’t see how you’d decompile a UMD considering the file type.
Second off i’m sure they have a good encryption method for that UMD although if it was really all that great, Downgrading wouldn’t be possible now would it?
Third of off i think you’d need the source in order to even consider trying to make a non GTA: LCS downgrade! Yes and we all know that Rockstart is DEFINATELY going to give out the source to anybody that asked! (sarcasm)
So i’m pretty sure that a non GTA:LCS downgrade will not be possible which sux cuz i can’t get my hands on that game for the life of me!
Last it’s pissing me off that i can’t get Devhook 5.2 to run on 3.03 or i’d use and ISO for GTA:LCS

turn ur psp off then turn bak on but hold the right trigger down untill u get in2 system setings..in there u will find disable umd do this then u can play without a umd in psp…

should just be an eboot update…its official sony so it shouldnt get any error unless you already have firmware 3.03…

upgraded to 3.03oec yesterday, good stuff, started converting myPS1 games with popstation… they all work great , so far

ok i ran into a problem. i came across step 9 my psp was saying the corrupt data. I followed the steps. and my screen went black. If I leave it for a while it shows the menu again. But what ever I do it goes back to the black screen. after like a half hour I checked the system info, and it says 1.5. Any suggestions?
i have a problem downgrading my 3.03 i have GTA-Unpatched i know that because i used to do the 2.60 downgrader with it and when i use the easy 3.03 downgrader with gta it gets stuck in the loading bar i keep trying and trying and never passese from where it gets stuck so i need help can someone tell me.
just do it manually it is really really easy. if your affraid and just want to click one button though maybe u need to wait a little longerl i noticed when i did a to82 board it takes about 5min longer.
so that means that if i am doing it to a ta-082 i will have to wait like 5min for the screen to turn blue??? so after that i can continue with the downgrader right?
hey i have a question my psp is 1.50 (whent from 2.71 to 1.50 a while ago) but i want to know if i should keep my 1.50 or go with one of theese custom firmwares cuz it seems 1.50 isint the greatest anymore
The benefits of the latest custom firmware are that you have access to most/all of the features of the corresponding official firmware, in addition to added or enhanced capabilities, in addition to being able to run homebrew and access to a recovery console. Have a look at the release info here for 3.03 OE-C for more info on the latest custom firmware. You will be pleased to know that the upgrade is quick and easily reversed if necessary or desired. ^_^

what you should do is to have 3.03oe-c running in your psp and after having it you could access the recovery menu by holding the R triggerwhen turning on your psp from a hard reset and just go to configuration and set the 1.5 kernel mode and you are going to be able to play homebrew and all the new psp games as well as psx games also if you want your psp to be 1.5 again by any means you can do a recovery using the recovery folder and running it from the recovery menu not the xmb like when you run the games.
yes go to 3.03 oec with this you don’t need to run devhook or anything its all built into the firmware!
I have a TA-082 PSP with 2.71, and wondering are these downgraders and upgraders for people without the TA-082 or they work on both?
i don’t know to be safe i would do it manually. the manual downgrade works ive done it on two ta-082 psps no prob. just read carfully
It works on TA-082 to TA-086 PSP
If you have an unpatched TA-082 or higher motherboard, you will be
prompted to allow the downgrader to patch your motherboard so it
can be safely downgraded. The downgrader will not let you proceed
without patching, if your motherboard requires it.
YOU SHOULD GO UP CUSTOM FIRMWARE IS THE WAY TO GO.
These downgraders are for people with the unpatched GTA. There is a seperate easy downgrader available for your firmware- just do a quick search through the files and forums.

Just a bit of advice never trust an easy installer no offense to the creator great job but i would still double check the files are where they should be on the stick otherwise you might end up with a paper weight lol
Yes, easy installers get a bad rap. I myself went from 3.03oe-c to 1.50 to 2.80 to 1.50 to 3.03oe-c JUST to test these installers. While I understand people’s want to ‘not do it the easy way’, or other worries about such things, I can assure you these were tested to a VERY extensive level.
Want more proof of testing? These easy installers have been used in PSP-HACKS irc channel for a period of time before they made it here, and had no issues. That means, not just one ‘test’ but released AFTER testing, and have proven themselves to be effective to make the job easy repeatedly.
To those that have errors with the installer: format your memstick with your PSP before getting started. Should fix the issue for most people out there.
To each their own…. to those complaining about there not be a non GTA method of downgrading firmware 2.81+ - Note the exploit is ON the unpatched GTA. So, untill another expoit is found, keep waiting, for go find yourself a unpatched GTA. To those saying ‘easy installers bah!’ just move on.
Team Reign hopes these easy installers make people’s PSP’s upgrading and downgrading experience’s more simple.

it measn that when you are in the menu or home in your psp you will see the 2.0 update from your GTA if the GTA shows a higher version then the game is patch and it wont work.

Hey guys, I’m running Sony’s firmware, version 3.03 and I have an unpatched version of the GTA:LCS. So I’m guessing all I have to do is run the 303EasyDown and I’m all set or would I have to run the 303EasyUp for any reason?

You look at the update on the disk… If it is 2.60, then it is patched.

Hi, had a 2.81 with ta 082, use to 3.03 easy upgrade with sucess but when load the 3.03 easy downgrade with GTA 2.0, every thing goes well till press X to reset, I had a blue screen with lots of wording and press O to continue, my system reset back to new confi but there after each time i press a button, the screen will turn black for like 2min before any thing come out and as soon as i press any button it goes black again, any ideas, Pls help, thanks.
Press the brightness button. This is a known bug.

Hey I have a TA-082 PSP the firmware version dose not matter cause I can up grade if needed. But I just wanted to make sure that this will work on that motherboard before I try this. I have the unpatched version of the GTA. Just looking for a little hand holding if you know what I mean. I have already downgraded 6 non TA-082 MB PSP’s with full success. Well this site is the best. Used 280easy up then down then straight to 303OEC, it all installed ok but would not play any homebrew..used 303eeasyDown with gta which then semi BRICKED the PSP… Put the 1.50 recovery eboot in game folder & brought it back 2 life….THANK THE LORD…followed 303 easy steps & now plays homebrew..
hey im on 2.6 fmw not a ta of anysort wanna get to 303 can i get there without gta using these easy files or is gta just used to get out of the 3.03 fmw

Yea, My ex gf has the GTA game but, how do you tell if it’s unpatched, and btw I have trouble doing it, because my psp decided to be gay and read disk when ever the heck it wants. So I been waiting for the downgrade now’s the chance, and look i cant do it unless my psp works right, Cause since I cant really play games, I wanted to get homebrew and play some snes games and stuff or something to entertain me.
if it says update to 2.00 and not 2.6, then its a unpatched UMD GTA.
I have successfully downgraded a 2.71/TA-082 PSP to 1.50, and then using this 303Easy installer, gotten it to 3.03 OE-C. The question is: now that I have done so….can i COMPLETELY format my Memory Stick? Or are there files that must reside on the Memory Stick for me to be able to use ISOs, homebrews, etc?
once i finished installing 3.03OEC i formated the Memory Stick & all worked fine..
workin on 2 psp”s at the same time, just tried 2 play an iso after formating Memory Stick & it just freezes.. so dont 4mat files are missin on the memory stick…so unless u”v made a backup on ur pc..dont 4mat..
format the stick after you see that the firmware is working.
why dont you take out the stick and use your psp and answer your ?, hahaha j/k. happy homebrew
