i use it very often, but the server software often crashes on winxp. still, when it works, it is one of the best software there is for psp!

I’m using 3.03OE-C.PiMPStreamer just hang when I try to run it on the PSP.I run the program on both PC and PSP.Did I do anything wrong?I just follow the instruction in the installer.

matkoi, does other homebrew work fine? Have you enabled 1.5 for thet game folder, by default OE firmwares are 3.03 for the game folder…. if you have already and are using other homebrew, then try deleting all the files from your psp and reinstalling it… Hope I helped.

Hey I tried this a few hours back - i experienced no probz, so this software is great, i find it’s easier than all that VLC crap.

By the way, is there an rw/ff function?

what exactly does this do?

It is a client and server application to stream video from your PC to the PSP via wifi, set the server client up (encodes the video on the fly for the psp) and put the software on the PSP and enjoy streaming video. Just watched a full length video and by the end the sound was slighty out of sync but not so much it was annoying. This is running on my server box (which is a 1.6 athlon with 1gb ram) and it uses about 55 - 60% of the CPU when streaming. So you definatley dont need a beast or a PC either. ive been looking for a program like this for ages. I had some trouble with poining the PSP to the right IP as the server (i have 6 pc’s on the network here) but there is a text file in in the pimp folder on the PSP where you can edit it easily. I just cant get the YouTube feeds working, but to be honest i’d never use them anyway. Just be sure to open port 3333 on your server box for it to work :)

Oh and if your running 3.03 OE then be sure to move the pimp folder on the PSP to game 150 as the autoinstaller that is supplied installs it to game.

ok i cant get this to work, do u need a wirless router or just a USB wifi dongle.. i have tried using it with both reseting the binarys and still cannot get it to connect :/

I have a Mac so the PC thing is out i guess. How would I go about using this for YouTube? im very excited about that if theres a way to do that without needing a PC around…

The playlist feature still doesn’t work, when the first track finishes it doesn’t play the next one. Error: “get_packet_stream failed” press x

This is a very good idea it works perfect the only problem is dont read SRT subtitles because almost Subtitles are in SRT but i belive the pimpstreamer v0.78 will do it. keep working Mr. and Thank you

Does this work on v3.03 because it says corrupt data on the pimpstreamer on the psp.

Do you need a wireless router to use this or I can use my wireless connection on my laptop to stream the videos to my PSP?

can i use this on firmware 1.5?

I’ve been looking for a similar piece of software for my PSP. I would really like a media player - or above all music player - that can stream mp3’s from samba/windows shares over wifi. Does anyone know of such a program for the PSP?
If not, maybe the author of PiMPStreamer could implement support for it?
The reason for this btw is that I don’t want a bunch of mini-servers running on my computer, be it Xbox 360 Media server, Media Center, PSP-wifi-controller or PiMPStreamer software. Also, I keep my Mp3’s on my linux running fileserver…

For all the people getting corrupt data on 3.03 YOU HAVE TO MOVE THE FILES TO GAME 150 FOLDER pimp installer puts them in game. I’d assume you also need a router, unless you edit the server file on the psp to point to your PC’s IP.

I have 3.02 OE B and I’m getting that error.

You dont have the proper codecs of your pc? download and install k-lite mega codec pack

Whenever I try to fast forward a video, it plays for a few secs, then hangs..

I’m only getting around 100kb/s speeds in the test which result in choppy video. Any ideas, tried turning off my ZA firewall which made no difference so I guess it must be something to do with my wireless router???????????

This was really easy to do with the 3.03 oe thing. All i did was put it under the psp/game150 folder and loaded it up and it connected to my wifi :D It’s a pretty awesome app.

Do you have to make a GAME150 folder? Because i made one in the psp folder and copied everything to it. after that i turned on my psp and tried to boot it but it says “no games on folder”

i click on the pimpstreamer icon in game/memory stick on the psp but it says,”this game cannot be started.The data is corrupted” i’ve read the other comments and seen that you have to put the file into psp/game150; but I DONT HAVE A FOLDER CALLED ‘GAME150′. PLEEEEASE can someone help me so that i can use pimpstreamer!!! :-(
p.s im only 15 so i dont really know what im doing so as i cant find a READ-ME anywhere, can someone plz instruct me.

It didnt work for me. Using 3.03OE-A, and it won’t connect to my wifi. it hangs on the connection test. any idea?
