I guess this is for a FULL brick…how would i know…i don’t have a brick, but if this run on the computer(windows explorer) than it is going to format the flash (which results in a full restore.)

correct me if i am wrong

If they made a total unbricker, you could ignore your FW when downgrading since you could just wipe the flash clean and start fresh. That would men that ANY psp could be downgraded regardless of the FW revision, including new FW’s in the future. Right?

It’s gotta be for semi-bricks. Otherwise it would’ve been presented with gigantic red letters.

just realized that its only F1…that’s only the registery right? (go look in filer 2.8)…
ok, that’s only for semi-bricks..

but i’m sure if you have acess to F0 you can fix full bricks..

MAY BE NOT. THIS PROGRAM ONLY WORKS THROUGH RECOVERY.
BE SURE TO READ THE README.TXT AND THE FAQ.HTML.

“just nothing else till it turns itself off then it does even less”

If it turns itself off, I doubt its gonna do any MORE afterwards.

i hope it does man… i’ve got 1.5 bricked with no custom firmware on it falshed a wallpaper which is too big (was a big noob then) at least now i’ve graduated to stupid dipshit lol but i havent bricked a psp after that and ive downgraded at least a dozen psp’s installed custom firmware and now i’ve upgraded them all to 3.03 OE-C thanks to this site!

this is pointless just get dax’s 3.03OE-C and you can edit or save your flash via recovery mode

thay need to make it read the flash from the mem card some how then we can install fw from a umd maybe.

noooooo wouldn’t work suppose u get diff mem card then u have a brick also the read speed would be super-slow making it take a while to boot

or they should find a way to read the ipl so all fully bricked psp can be hacked

i think this is cool. From what im guessing instead of recovering back to 1.5 and updating all the way back up u can just reflash it.

2007-01-27 17:28:38

what is ipl?

Comment by 3.03OE-C
2007-01-27 17:29:36

or you can update to 3.03OE-C go into recovery and copy your flash0 and flash1 and hey no need for downgrading to 1.5 and its soooo much easier

Comment by 3.03OE-C

ipl = initial program load

the part of your psp that cannot be read or recovered

2007-01-27 17:37:27

it be alright if we could just solder a usb socket in some where on the motherboard for access that way.

2007-01-27 18:21:05

that’s basically what the modchip does

Comment by jay
2007-01-27 18:56:51

i think this is 1 of those things that restores ur psp from flash1 edits. like when i used the font changer for fw:2.80 and when u take out ur memory card and do a full shutdown and turn it back on it pops up with a blue screen to restore ur settings because it was corrupted

how do iget my isos to run devhooked 3.02 with no umd in the psp

Comment by BrendanL
2007-01-28 11:26:01

you can’t. You need a game UMD to load ISOs/CSOs.

I Have a feeling we are close to be able to unbrick PSP’s, maybe I should buy a bricked psp and wait for an un-bricker, then sell the unbricked psp.
WELL DONE KEEP THIS APP COMING!
