Hello World on ALL Firmwares — up to 3.03!

Say whaaat? Just when you thought the PSP scene was dying… *BANG* — in your face Sony! The Noobz have discovered a user-mode exploit in all firmware versions — up to 3.03! What does this mean? Well they’ve stated on their site that a functioning downgrader should be ready within the week. Is that the answer you’re looking for? ;)
The vulnerability is exploited by using the original unpatched version of Grand Theft Auto: Liberty City Stories (GTA:LCS). Remember that — it paved the path for the great eLoader!? The later version of GTA:LCS, the one you’ll find on shelves now, unfortunately will not work.
Moving forward; here’s how it’s used:
- Extract the files from the ZIP into the /PSP/SAVEDATA folder on your memory stick.
- Start GTA:LCS

- Do I need GTA:LCS?
Yes, this requires an original unpatched version of GTA:LCS. Once the downgrader is released, you will only need to borrow an unpatched copy of GTA:LCS briefly to perform the downgrade.
- It didn’t work!
Verify that you have an unpatched copy of GTA. Only GTA:LCS UMDs that contain a copy of the 2.00 system update will work.
- It still didn’t work!
Having other GTA savegames on your memory stick can cause problems. Make a backup of your memory stick contents, reformat the memory stick, and copy only the files from the Goofy ZIP onto it. Restart the PSP and try again.
- Do we have access to kernel mode?
It’s a bit tricky, but yes, the kernel mode hole found by Team C+D still works from the Goofy exploit. The downgrader will use this to perform its magic.
- Should I upgrade to 3.03 in anticipation?
The downgrader will require 3.03, but you might want to wait until it comes out before upgrading, just in case!
- Will the downgrader work on all PSPs?
That’s the plan.
- Does this work on custom firmware?
If you’re already running a custom firmware, congratulations, you have no need for this. But the Hello World should still run if you’d like to see it in action.

God…the stupidity of people. This is NOT a downgrader….this is a fucking “hello world!” application, that writes a simple line of text saying “hello world” to demonstrate that code can be executed. They said to EXPECT a downgrader WITHIN A WEEK! It’ll most likely downgrade to 1.5, not 2.0.
Also, how in the hell does this make way for a downgrader? It’s a USER MODE access hack. You’ve got to unlock kernel mode as well first….
And finally, NOOBZ is the team that created ELoader (Fanjita, mat, and co.)

Team C+D already found a way to get full kernel access for higher firmware versions. It was just that they needed user mode access.

everybody get ready to expect the new psp firmwire 3.50. It has been anounced 2 days ago that Sony will be releasing their new psp firmwire update. Sony said that this will have a couploe of new features.One of the features is Obviously enhanced security.Sony also said that they will be adding psp search browser on the new 3.50.this is supposedly supposed to help your psp find anything on it. ( Pictures, photo, music, and etc.)But the security on this new firmwire is said to be really strong.Sony obviously didnt mension it.The new firmwire will be released around somewhre next week.
My advice to all you homebrew loving people is DONT UPGRADE.If you really want it, just wait for it to be decrypted.

I am currently working on a psp sega saturn emulator.Its almost done.I just need to emulate the sound and make it go a little bit more faster.I also need to fix the intro on the emulator from freezing.It will take me at least 2 months for this to be done.Its a really cool emulator for the psp.I know you wiil all love it.

I dunno bout u but I got 4 psps (2 for Deejaying and TV control, 1 for psp ISOs, 1 for PSX). Where the money comes from? Buying bricked psps for cheap and then swapping out the motherboards without ruining the Void Sticker.(Hair Dryer trick)
