PSP2600 v1.0.2 Released

greg | January 23, 2007

ZX-81 is truly a perfectionist, now releasing v1.0.2 of his ported Atari 2600 emulator.

River Raid on the PSP

PSP2600 v1.0.2 changes:

  • Merge the code from Stella v2.2 (replacing Stella v2.0 b1)
  • Add several Anti-Flicker modes such as:
    • Phosphor (from Stella v2.2), nice but CPU consuming
    • Simple, very fast and suitable for black background games
    • Average, it computes average colors between two frames
  • Add paddle support, using Left / Right keys or analog Pad
  • Fix the sound speed/accuracy (For a better quality, set the PSP clock to 333Mhz in the settings menu)
  • Bug fix in Rom file requester
PSP hangs when the rom list was big and already sorted
  • Remove Gelon’s name from graphics stuff (as he wants to)
  • Add Aenea as the author of the first PSP port (I’m sorry for this mistake!)

Первонах!
Вопрос: нахуя на консоли, которая расчитана на 3D и вообще продвинутые игры, эмуляторы какого-то там динозавра игростроя?

no one cares about zx-81’s emulators of ancient hardware that nobody plays. he tried desperately to make a functional gba emulator but failed miserably. stop spamming us with this garbage and retire plz.

Okay, you officially suck, “don’t care”. Don’t listen to this bozo, ZX-81! You rule.

don’t care: nobody cares about you and your childish comments. The Atari 2600 was one of the systems that started it all. For many, including me, it holds great memories.

If you don’t like it don’t use it. Personally I don’t give a rats about about gba, but many people do so it is great that people are trying to emulate it.

The whole point of homebrew is that we have a great variety of stuff that was previously unavailable to us. Everybody has different tastes, so accept it and move on, it’d be a boring world if we didn’t.

I don’t understand the need for people to trash other peoples work. If you’re shopping and you see something u don’t like on the shelf do you yell at the owner to remove it? Chances are you’ll keep walking. Why don’t you just keep looking for something that you do like and be patient.

The alternative is to do something constructive for the psp scene like write your own emu. Somehow I can’t see this happening any time soon. loser!

You know coders aren’t paid to code.

“I don’t understand the need for people to trash other peoples work.”
where in my comments did i trash his work? did i say his emus sucked? i said he tried to make a gba emu and failed, which is a true statement. after multiple attempts, he just gave up. plain and simple.

has anyone had any luck loading this on the 2.80 eLoader/xLoader? I used the 2.x folder, but it seems to die after the first screen (the one that says loading). I tried by only having a single bin in the roms folder (I even deleted the foo.txt file). Is also already patched with the patchSFO tool

hi zx, i was the guy who had the flickering prob with galaxian and a few more, well, the flickering is sorted! Im delighted, THANK YOU!!!!!! only one small thing, in the max screen size its offset to the right and coming back on top of itself slightly but in small screen mode its perfect, its not a big problem but i wanted to let you know anyway. Thanks again, i will be playing this for a long time, and anyone who dosnt have respect for this or any other emu youve touched must have their head up their hole! ;-)

I think the game is called River Raid if memory serves me.

ZX thanks for the emu. I don’t care what some of these bozos say its still a fun port to have on the psp as i grew up on these games. Not to mention you can get the entire library of games on a Memstick with very little space consumed.
That being said I’m have the the same problem with the 1.25 and full screen settings. Seems like the left part of the screen is duplicated on the far right.

To the people saying stop making these emu’s no one plays them – dont you realy mean YOU dont play them ?

If you dont want to play them the choise is yours , simple , lots of people had these systems when they was growing up and it great to play the old games again .

Nice work ZX

Atari ST emu next ? :D
