Here’s a cool homebrew idea with potential… madruscoe has released the first beta of TyDoPad.
TyDoPad allows you to type short notes and save them in a plain text file on your memory stick. At the moment there’s only support for one keyboard, the Palm(One) Universal Wireless Keyboard.

In the early stages of development you’re not able to view, open, or edit the written notes, not yet anyway… The limit for one note is 4KB; although an unlimited # of notes can be written and saved.
To use: Press START to save written text. Notes are stored in ‘TyDoPad_notes.txt’ and are separated by a small header which includes date and time. To quit, press HOME.
It’d be interesting to see something like this integrate with pSPC.

now that is great.
i cant wait for this to advance as it will save alot of time typing on the psp
This is ****ing GREAT NEWS NOW JUST BRING ON THAT KEYBOARD!!!!
cool
now just make a messaging system for the PSP
now your soon see sony bring out one
sweet now i can knock the dust off my old keyboard..imagine being able to browse the web ans send email, im.etc etc…good idea, great potential
This will be great for note takin
Now, we need a keyboard and mouse combo hehe ^^
At this rate, PSP will replace Palm… LOL
u mean a computer
DAAAAAAAMMMMMM!!!!!!!!
HA!, my friend and i just now got it working EXTREMELY crappily with a Belkin wireless Palm Keyboard, TAKE THAT!
It’s nice. Just needs some work done
sadness… it doesn’t work with an msn tv2 keyboard
I like it this brue has a lot of potential keep up the good work
This is awesome news. Definitely lots of potential. Would be handy being able to use the keyboard with psposte.
W-A-S-D FTW
Cool Homebrew app!!! i hope there will be more update..
That about PSPTed and PSPost homebrews with IrDA keyword support?
Does this connect through WiFi? How come the LED isn’t blinking..?
it uses infrared
this has an amazing amount of potential. it would be nice to see someone take this further into other apps like the Palm OS. Sometimes I sit on the crapper and thats where I get my best ideas. but my fingers get cramped after a while. I tried writing a screen play and got pretty far with it, though a keyboard would have been sweet.
what would be really amazing, is if someone made an adaptor and software that went with it, so you could plug up any usb keyboard.
also, if anyone is listening, I’d really like to see an app that lets you play the PSP remotely through a wifi controller, so as not to mash up the buttons on the PSP.
“That” -> “What”
oooooooooooh yea i’m freakin out
first gps, now a keyboard, cant wait for a working phone module :D
All great ideas. But what I want is to have a mouse/keyboard combo with the ability to remap the psp buttons to them so I can play first person shooters like Socom and Call of Duty the way they were meant to be played - with a mouse and keyboard. I’ve got a PS3 and although Call of Duty looks incredible, I hate having to play it with a damn gamepad.
Oh and while your at it, it would be great if you could get I-Techs Virtual Laser Keyboard working with it. Hmmm lets see, and a USB hub, and the ability to connect a external USB hard drive for my ROMs. Give us that and I can retire my laptop. Thanks!
I gotta hand it to you, major props on this one. Sony may have been able to stop Logitech from realeasing there keyboard, but there’s nothing they can do about this. Great job! XD
Oh, and any one who says something bad about this brew deserves a punch in the face for there pure stupidity.
Why not just but a laptop?
a. thats not the point of homebrew on the psp, if you just whent outrt and bought a laptop, you could download ps1 emualtors and crap.
b. a laptop is bigger then a psp.
c. not everyone can aford a laptop.
lawl 4kb limit and support for only one keyboard… this is useless… for now…
but in later advances, i cant wait to se more keyboard support, text editing, and larger files.
great work madruscoe. once again, homebrewers releasing something sony has not ^_^
its cool but i bet sonys will have one soon.
I can’t see myself using it, but anyways.. I guess it’s good news.. :)
Pretty good brew , too bad it didnt come out sooner cuz it woulda been wicked for university now that im allmost done i dunno when i will have a use for it :P
sweet
this is the wrong thing but please someone tell me how to make psx games on psp
start with 1.5 firmware
upgrade to DA’s 3.03oe-A (find it on this site)
upgrade again to DA’s 3.03oe-b
Download zinga burga’s popstation GUI and use it to convert psx ISO’s into an eboot.pbp and keys.bin place BOTH of these files into a folder with the name of the game and place that folder into msroot(psp drive letter):\psp\game
it’ll show up in your games on your psp with this gui you can also easily make custom icons for it and everything…READ ALL READMES AND BE VERY CAREFUL HACKING YOUR FIRMWARE AND FALLOW ALL INSTRUCTIONS TO A T!!!!
ok thanks
