Cheaters, cheat with ease, thanks to weltall and the latest revision of CWCheat. It’s available in two builds, one of which allows you to load the database from a different location (cwcheat-gamecompatibility.prx); this will hopefully prevent games like Socom from crashing. Otherwise, below is the full 0.1.6 Revision G changelog:
- fixed the code type D1 there was a little bug [POPS]
- brightness reworked a bit now it should be more responsive [ALL]
- brightness is now saved and loaded from file 0 = disabled 1 = 25% 2 = 50% 3 = 75% 4 = 100% [ALL]
- fixed a little glitch in the id reading function which made cwcheat show om or rom when the executable was named PSX.EXE. Now PSXEXE is showed [POPS]
- added xploder code types 90, 70 and 00 [POPS]
- now it’s possible to read gme memorycard (no save support ATM) press R to exchange gme< ->mcr [POPS]
- added a build which loads codes from the kernel partition you can use that as a temporary fix for games which have problems with the volatile partition (like socom and nfs)[GAME]
- added back support for 302OE emulator memory cards now it’s automatically detected if it’s the 303OE emulator or the 302OE one
- prx for psp games is updated to latest functions [GAME]
- added 32bit search support for builds with GS/AR support: the output code will be a two line code [POPS]
- All was moved to ms0:/seplugins/cwcheat/ so the dh folder isn’t needed anymore [ALL]
- battery temperature is now showed [ALL]
- other things [ALL]
0.1.6 Rev. G is compatible with 3.03 OE GAME (cwcheat.prx) and POPS (cwcheatpops.prx), meaning you’re able to cheat just about every PSP and PSX game with this release.

yes cheat.db is for psp games (cwcheat format), cheatpops.db is for psx games (gs/ar format)

My question to weltall would be if you use the same DB for the all cheats. If not then seperate entries would have to be done.
well it’s a question of these things:
1-order better not mixing psp and psx games IMHO considering also that people update the psp db from the website and the psx db manually it would still be better to avoid things like “oh damn i’ve overwritten all my precious psx cheats” XD
2-in this way i can keep the db less big and permit to load it fastly and with less problems
3-if someone wants only the psx part it would be better keeping only psx cheats

BTW, I checked both DB files. The way I have the Character Load function It loads them also.

ther’s a DevHook 2.71 Hybrid out there that has 3.01 files. search it up.
does that work with devhook 0.51, or which one? compatible with 3.03 oe b or not? thanks; desperately looking for usb support on newest devhook or 3.03 oe b!
USB support was patched by sony on firmware 2.80 and above. I’ve seen some fixes for it for DevHook but have not tried them.
thanks a million times over, required!! finally, usb hosting from pc for some of the bigger sized games on 3.03 oe b on device hook gui launcher mod thru booster 0.46. maybe that’s illegal to talk about on this site (they’ll ban this post if so), or maybe everyone but me noob-o knows how to get usb hosting for 2.71 and 2.8 games, but I’ve asked on a bunch of posts and nobody ever told me about the program. thanks to the buzzer and everyone else in this project (not sure when it came out!)
Hey weltall, To bad you named the prx cheat file the same as the db file. Now ppl will being confused on if they are saving or creating the prx or the actual db file. :P Oh well. No biggie.

no no no, not that. talking the DB files. the GAME(db) you have it as cheat.db and for the Pops you have it as cheatpops. Isn’t cheat.db the db file you use in your OSx db handler?
well it’s not mine that :) also because i don’t have a mac. anyway yes cheat.db is the one used by the handler and has a certain format. cheatpops.db was added from the first revision with GS/AR support and has a quite different format without 0x and with the old psx code types so most probably that manager shouldn’t be able to work with it.
anyway considering next version what names do you suggest?
Well, Sorry I’m not trying to tell you how to do your code. It’s not what I ment. I was just wondering why you used the same name for the GAME db and the DB file you use for your App Manager. cheatpops.db-cheatgame.db.. I haven’t used your Cheat Manager cause it won’t run on Win32(W2Kpro) or Does it? I haven’t checked to see. If it did, then damn. What the hell am I making a Win32 program for. :))
hi anybody knows how to get the full nitrous cheat to work in Ridge Racer 2 (Europe) to work. The code in the cheat.db doesn’t work for me. My nitrous stills runs out or not full. this is the coded i am using “Ridge Racers 2 [EU]

if you find bad codes report them by pressing ibeglab in the end of the cwcheat website
hi me again also ridge racer 2 (eu) freeze and reset my psp automaticly when enable the nitrous code in this cwcheat-016-rev-g-for303-oe. it doesn’t freeze the game in older cwcheat ver. my fw is 303oe-b. any idea? thanx again
you are using it from usbhostfs?
How do I install the PSP cwcheat? The same way I did with the POPS one? (turn on holding R.. activate modules, etc)

yes they works fine. the same can’t be said of usbhostfs because of a bug in the usbmount prx

This doesn’t work if your using the 3.02 PSX Emulator on 3.03 OE, as they both use a file called pops.txt
install cwcheat manually pops.txt is plain text you can edit it by yourself

well i pressed select during in game to bring up the cwcheat menu and i dont see the menu. ive never used cwcheat before. but i thought i just hadto installed that folder to the root of memory stick and enable the prx files right?
Hold Select for 3secs. As for the Cheat codes. You have to make sure that the Cheat ID matches the Game you have.

get them from standard psx resources AR/GS 2.41 codes are supported natively, caetla partly and the same for xploder

Hi! I downloaded the previous version of CWCheater to use on my FW 3.03 OE-A, the PSP was connected to the USB and in the wall… He felt 8 inches and turnned off and since them I can’t turn it on… When I slide the power button, the power led just blink once, but the screen don’t get brigther and the power led don’t keep blinking or something like… Just blink once and nothing more happens… I’d already tried to turn on with the R button pressed and nothing happens… Any ideas?
this can’t be because of cwcheat as cwcheat works in read only except when you save the db or the config and in any case writes are done on memory stick.
it’s more possible that you broke something in the mb of the psp
I’m not saying that this problem was caused by the CWCheat… But I was trying to found someone with the same problem… I didn’t found any case like mine… Using this description that the power light blink only once and nothing more happens…
weltall i wanna ask u something, can i use the CWCheat with a UMD games not ISO games. or is there any way how to do it? ive tried it with MHF game from UMD not the ISO and my screen went black n stuck.
it works fine from umd at least with my games

Holly cow, I just checked out an App made by someone not of this site. CW Cheat Editor. Some really harsh words said in the readme.
none of my isos work with the cwcheat. I dont get the menu after holding down select for 3 secs. I can get it to work with UMDs, and PSX games. what am i doing wrong?
I got CW cheat working and when i hold select it brings up the menu… but when i select the cheat and select enable cheats and then return to game.. it doesn’t work. anyone know what im doing wrong?
