pSPC Beta 2 Released
greg | January 14, 2007
Reefbarman has released Beta 2 of PSP Super Portable Calendar. It’s the application that will eventually become a full-fledged personal organizer. To quickly summarize Beta 2: you now have the ability to add/delete entries for each date.
Beta 2 full changelog:
- Diary/Note entries that can be saved/deleted to/from the Memory Stick
- Keyboard System for Text input under note entry
- Icons to display if note entry or similar is available on a certain date
- Right hand Menu System
That strikes a few items off the TODO list:
Day by Day notesText input- Reminders & intergrated XMB Reminders system
- Picture Drawing
- Phone & Address Book
- To Do Lists
- Budget Calculator
- Customizable Themes
Installation and usage is of course detailed in the readme. And again, any ideas or suggestions, you’ll find Reefbarman’s whereabouts in there too.

Great app but i am not into organizers too much. If it gets into the XMB, i will defiantly try it out. Keep it up!
same.. i am gunna wait for some later releases
yes definately it would be brilliant in the XMB menu
Honestly, all it means if that you have to click a couple of buttons to get it running, it wouldn’t be that hard just to turn it on, load the app and check.
However, I do agree that XMB integration would be beautiful, maybe even just a plugin for the \SEPLUGINS\ directory which could pop up reminders etc.
Oh any by the way, I’m assuming this is REALLY easly days for this app, give it a few months down the track and hopefully we’ll have a very nice program on our hands.
Thx a lot! Been waiting for this release! Keep up the good work :)
waitin for the integrated reminder then ill download.
Sweet! was kinda useless before, now it has functionality lets keep up the good work
good job but one thing should be reconsiderd. I try to type with the way it has been made in the organiser, its hard to figure out or type the notes with these settings. maybe u should try to make the typing like IRSHELL. The cube way. that should be much faster and easier. beside that its cool.
im really looking forward to this app, will be really usefull! keep it coming :)
wonder how useful is this
I think you should go with the original Palm idea, which is a strong display system, weak text input system. Meaning you’ll need a desktop companion OR it’s able to import vCal. Then use your PSP as a diaplay/reminder system. The app have to be quick, shortcuts to next week/month/year (R and L keys with modifiers?).
Keep up the good work. Hope to see this work well.
keep up the good work…. i am REALLY looking forward to ur final and non-beta ver.
hope u tat the final ver will comes in a week time…
Im with Zato change the method to type. This is the only part that I recommend to change
the app is promising but i have a few comments/changes:
the text entry system is difficult to understand and remeber, also the numbers 1 and 2 are not displayed but can be entered (L + up arrow)
also it would be a great improvement if you could display a small message in the calander boxes (maybe like 15 characters)
because right now the notes are okay but you must open each one up to see it would be nicer to use the front page of the app as an “at a glance” weekly planner
also i think you should get rid of the press x to continue screen
