CWCheat 0.1.6 Rev. F for 3.03 OE/POPS

The latest CWCheat from weltall has been released. 0.1.6 is now for 3.03 OE POPS with included USB support!
weltall notes:
This is a new version of cwcheat for pops which finally enables again usb support in pops.
Usb was missing because usb.prx is missing from the reboot process of the pops mode so if you tried to load a cwcheat (or another prx) with usb imports you couldn’t get it to load (it was discarded by the kernel).
So in this version i’m offering two more builds with usb support enabled and a readme which explains you how to load usb.prx into your psp in pops mode (i couldn’t add usb.prx to the archive for two reason first of all it’s different for every psp and second it’s illegal distribuiting it)anyway except this new function there were various fix to reported problems, a new id identifier function, complete support to 303OE also with mc working and with more error reporting and finally a suggestion: put cwcheat bus/cpu mhz to 0 (which is now the default) because the sony psx emulator has a sort of dynamic overclocking which can’t work if you set a cpu/bus frequence and with 0 set in cwcheat it’s clock management functions are disabled.
0.1.6 REV. F for 3.03OE/POPS changes:
- reworked the id loading function now it *should* work in any case
- now if selected 0 as cpu/bus mhz the clock isn’t set and it’s left to the sony emulator (SUGGESTED!)
- fixed memory card functions to work on 3.03 Emulator
- NOW USB SUPPORT IS AVAILABLE IN CWCHEAT (READ THE USB SUPPORT README)
- added a little faq in english
- fixed the db save functions
- now the mc loader/saver shows more information and shows if the operation went fine
- other things here and there
Installation, along with instructions to use memory card support, and usb support are all detailed in text files included with the RAR archive.

popstation format is encrypted so it isn’t possible what you ask. if you want a converter to mcr (format used by epsxe and cwcheat) you can use psx mem tool or psx game edit

yes you can (among other things) use cheats using this, and it’s totally free :D. you’ll just have to put on the mem stick. enable the plugin and then when you play a game you hold select which brings you into a menu. here you can for instance overclock the cpu and fsb on the fly, enable cheats and other things.

Im doing eveything right
Copying the seplugins folder to MS_ROOT and then enabling the stuff in the recovery menu.
It still isnt working, i dont have a clue why.
That was all on my Sony 1GB ‘card.
Now trying with my Sandisk 2GB ‘card.
Maybe its the game? Im trying to get it to work for MGS Portable OPS.
I have even tried holding select for like 20 seconds.
STILL NO MENU COMES UP.

Sorry for the OT/Topic Hijack, but are you successfully running MGS: PO via MemStick? Or UMD? That’s the only game that won’t run for me from MS under 3.02 OE-B.
Im running MGS Portable OPS from the memory card. It does load successfully, its just the stupid annoying cwcheat. I dont have a clue what im doing wrong, i’ve followed all the instructions from the readme:
1-copy the folders under MS_ROOT in your memory stick ROOT (which is the main folder not the PSP folder)
2-power up your psp while pressing R
3-go to advanced -> Advanced configuration
4-Enable by pressing X on Plain modules in UMD/ISO
5-select back for two times
6-Select plugins
7-Press X over cwcheatpops.prx [POPS] it will say ENABLED
NB: if a (disabled) appears under the cwcheatpops prx entry it’s a glitch of the recovery don’t mind it
8-exit recovery and enjoy
Stupid question, am i meant to be using the POPS version? It seems its the only version for 3.03OE?

I can’t get it to work either, I haven,t been able to get the last two releases working aswell.
these releases are only for pops if you want to cheat psp games use the 302 rev b without POPS in the file name that works fine

32bit wasn’t tought back in psx days as a matter of fact all codes are 16bit that’s why it was disabled

You can’t search 32bit data because action replay and other cheat defvices on playstation doesn’t allow 32bit codes and so the must have disabled it for compatability wise…. Still i would like searching signed/unsigned numbers as it will allow more cheats to work.
I know it has little relation to cwcheat but I wonder if people realise that popstation is improved version of the emulator VGS (Virtual Game System) which was owned by Connectix but was bought out including their code…. At least have finally found use for the code because it was a good emulator and ran on a pentuim 2 233mhz

the db of the pops version is under /seplugins/cwcheat/cheatpops.db
the db of the psp version is in /dh/cheat.db
Weltall, ive put my cheat.db where you said. in the dh folder in Ms0 but it still isnt loading.
I click on select cheats on the CWCheat menu, and it comes out blank :(

i think i am lost on the “mod the db” with what do i mod this db and also which one do i replace? there is one in ms:\seplugins and one in mc ive got 3.03oe-a’ and i am so lost…sowwy weltall i like the program i juat want it to work! :)

I get to the main menu, click on Select Cheats.
Then i get a blank screen, ive put my cheat.db where Welthall said, it the Ms0 > dh folder.
But it doesnt seem to like it….

I’ve Every thing the installtion asked, any1 got any clues as to why.
I’ve tried it in the ps1 emulation aswell and it doesn’t work there neither.
I can’t get CWCheats installed.. I follow the instructions in the readme, but when I go to Plugins, there’s nothing there, there’s no cwcheatpops.prx [POPS], it’s blank.. What am I doing wrong? =( I’m putting the MS_ROOT folder in my PSP’s ROOT directory.. I’ve tried everything
Sybre, don’t pu the actaul MS_ROOT folder onto the root directory, you want to put what is in MS_ROOT on the root, it should work after that.
