PSP Demo Patcher

~Maniac~ has released “PSP Demo Patcher,” and as the title simply implies, it patches your official PSP demos so they work with any firmware version! Obtain a PSP demo by any means necessary and follow the instructions below:
- Place the PSDEMOPATCH and PSDEMOPATCH% folders into your PSP/GAME folder
- Place the EBOOTs that you want patched in “ms0:/updpbp/” so that the directory structure looks like this:
ROOT–>UPDPBP–>PSPDEMO1–>EBOOT.PBP
ROOT–>UPDPBP->PSPDEMO2–>EBOOT.PBP - You can patch multiple EBOOTs at one time. Please make sure that the EBOOTs are in their own folders within the updpbp folder
- Run PSP Demo Patcher
Straight forward, right? Enjoy!

Uuh… Ridge Racer 1 is on a “demo” disc that came with RR4 but is a high res re-release of the original. Damn good game.

and what does “ms0:/updpbp/” mean?
means in the main folder of your memory stick (as in the ROOT) create a folder called “updpbp”, add folders inside with the EBOOTs that you want patched
DOES THIS WORK ON FW 3.03 AS EVERYTIME I RUN DEMO PATCHER ON MY PSP, IT JUST COMES UP WITH A MESSAGE SAYING: THE GAME COULD NOT BE STARTED. (8002014C)
this will not work on regular 3.03 only homebrew capable PSPs
If you are on the official firmware 3.03 then you would have no use for this software anyway, as all the game demos you can download will work on your PSP. This software is intended for people who are using older firmware versions who wish to play the demos without updating their firmware version.
wait, these are just for demos? Not for full isos?
This doesn’t work for the Killzone: Liberation demo, even using 3.03oe
hey man, can someone please help. i created a folder called updpbp, and i put the world tour 06 game in it, wich is called UCUS98631, then i ran the the demo patch, and all these writnigs came on a black screen showing that it was patching, and after it was done, it returned to the psp screen. I dont get how r u supposed to play it, because the world tour demo never showed up. i have a 3.02oe-b.
u now move the demo folder back to PSP\GAME
Firesnake, you need to put the UCUS98631 folder back in the game folder. I take it your trying to patch the demo and not the full game.
Also to answer my own comment the Killzone demo does work but it has to go in to thee game folder and 3.03oe has to be running that folder in 3.03 kernel mode.

what the hell
Ok, so what am I doing wrong. I put everything in the right places. patcher folders in the games folder then created a “updpbp” in root, then put a demo folder with eboot in that. I start up the patcher, I get the white PSP loading screen. waiting…waiting…. then the PSP turns off. Nothing. That’s it. nothing else happens.
What is this noob doing wrong???

NEWays…I’d really like to try out a few games before I go put the cash down, (not that I don’t trust my son, but…;) LocoRoco is one I’d like to try but hacen’t been able to get it to download from the main site. I also can’t seem to find any demos for the PSP in some of my “usual” places…would someone be SO kind as to email or msg me some urls to check out?? ;)

Hi, Im using this program and i put everything in the right place, then i ran da program on my psp and i got a black screen with writing saying that it is editing the file…but after i gets the game title(MotoGP & World Tour Soccer) it says scanning 10408576 bytes, writing… and tht keeps repeating!!! By the way i have Firmware 1.50,no custom firmware
i have fw 2.71 and this program runs and patches themeboots successfully on eloader, but then when i boot the patched demos, ridge racer 2 and moto gp, it says “the game cannot be started” farmiliar to Matt’s problem. i don’t have a custom firmware
how to downgRADE fw 3.03?????????? im a noob
