Mac users rejoice! Dago^WATT with another exciting Prometeus release.
Prometeus v0.9.5B fixes a nasty problem which would sometimes generate a defunct EBOOT when performing the PSX to PSP conversion. Also you will notice PSX -> PSP is considerably faster — 10 times faster to be precise!
If you choose to donate, $1 (or more), Dago^WATT will fix ya up with PrometeusPro. Best of all: PrometeusPro supports direct CD-ripping! Take your entire PSX game library and quickly rip & convert ‘em to 3.02 OE playable format.
Prometeus is a universal binary and functions on both PowerPC and Intel Macs. You will require libusb.

hey i just converted mega man x5 which didnt work with the the last time i converted with the older version. so the games are working now =) just one problem. the memory card light keeps flashing when im playing it doesnt stop flashing. is it supposed to do that?

I am using the PRO version just fine and I like it. I have already converted some files and they work great.
However, I am noticing that when I try to convert my Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, it is not finding the Game ID, and as such, not letting me convert the file to an EBOOT. It won’t even let me go in and manually enter the SLUS / SCUS number myself. Anyone know of a workaround?
I’m having the same problem with some of my games. They’re all converted correctly from the actual game cds. NO ONE seems to have an answer for this “no game id” problem. I’ve been searching everywhere for an answer
there would only be one thing cooler than this. if they made an app with the same simple input format as this one, in terms of how easy it is to link to the files you want to use, except it would be a totally noob friendly all-in-one PS1 game developer kit. You could upload images to render as people or backgrounds, add sounds, etc. as crazy as it may sound to supply ‘noobs’ with such power, i think some of the results would be pretty cool. i would personally love to make a game that involves attacking horses by throwing babies at them. i know nothing at all about even the most basic programming languages, but I have some ideas…
all you bitter windows user shut the fuck up already! there isnt any copyrights on popstation so no one is being ripped off. you guys need to quit being selfish! most of the applications that have to do with the psp are only for windows. we dont have all that stuff like you guys. and then some great guy creates things for mac so we wont be left out and all you guys get mad and talk shit. you guys are pathetic, go play in traffic!

There are still some Eboot crashes I’m finding. LOADED seems to do the same thing as R-TYPE, so there must be a connection there. They both play fine for a few minutes and then everything starts slowing down (including the sound samples) until it freezes in place and has to be shut down.
AREA 51 is now fixed thanks to you and this new version of Prometeus. “Kronn Hunter Mode” now works like a charm.

oh yeah, and Spyro is working fine now too, if i havent already mentioned that somewhere
PROJECT OVERKILL also crashes after a few minutes like LOADED and R-TYPE
and DIE HARD TRILOGY wont even copy into an Eboot for some reason. it comes up with a weird thing instead of the usual “98354″ or “02984″ or whatever number ID the games are supposed to have. It shows up as something like “E;01.” and then a message says it has an invalid ID and cant make an Eboot.
NOT meant to sound like a complainer or anything. I really love this new version of Prometeus and all its done already. I’m just pointing out the bugs I found so you guys can learn from that and hopefully add those improvements to the next version.
