can anyone (as in a dev) tell me if this will work for a finding exploits in the psp fw.
1) first get a copy of 2.80fw and 2.81fw
2)compare the sections of each fw and find the different program codes to the fw then base the exploit off of the changes made to the existing 2.81fw for a downgrader

You are correct. What is not obvious is that xloader pic is actually a program. You want to go from the xloader pic, back with O key, go to game menu in the regular PSP menu, select memory stick at the bottom of the game “tab” and then run downdater.

If you get into eloader menu, reboot the psp, by holding the power button up for 10 seconds, and try again.

ok first try the downdater in game menu it wont run now go over to photo icon and start x loader NOT eloader a pic will come up press o to go back and now go back to the game icon and the downdater will run and prompt you to press o if you get a kernel error power off manually holding the power button up for 10 secs and retry again took me 4 times to get it to run it will then power itself off when you turn back on you will get bos just press o and you will be back at 2.71 IF YOU GET THE ELOADER MENU WITH THE DOWNDATER IN IT DONT RUN IT IT WILL BRICK YA PSP

Can some one that already did the downgrade can you go nbs steps with me on how to do it like how you open xloder and run also why you need eloader and how run the downgrader after does it just run it by it self or turn it off when it stop blinking if you know all this than email me at Fredericoat1988@yahoo.com

kernel access error, power off to exit, this is the message i get when i try to downdate, xloader is running and everything is great until i push circle in the downdater…

I see what the problem is.

Eloader is needed by xloader, but what is happening is people are getting into eloader, and running the update from there, instead of using the xbox standard menu, going to games tab, and doing the downdate there.

If you are doing this and see the eloader screen, exit out of it to the standard xbox menu, go over to the games tab, then down to memory stick at the bottom of that tab, and press x, and then select downgrade from there. That will make things go wooshy wooshy instead of brick brick.

ya the menu was there , i dont know if it was xloader or eloader but i know i started xloader and so thats what it shouldve been but im assuming eloader started instead, i still had a menu and was able to start the downgrade then about 1 second after i press o to continue , boom failed
