BOOSTER delivering a series of blows to Sony’s bread basket in rapid succession as he unleashes DevHook v0.52! *Whistles the Rocky theme song*
DevHook v0.52.0000 includes support for firmware 3.03, which was recently decrypted by Team C+D. And that’s how the fam bam get’down.
- Copy the files inside MS_ROOT to ms0:/.
- Use the PBP Unpacker on an untouched FW3.03 PBP and extract the DATA.PSAR file.
- Copy the DATA.PSAR file to ms0:/.
- Copy the FW3.03 PSAR Dumper (released by Team C+D) into ms0:/PSP/GAME/.
- Run the PSAR Dumper on your PSP and press “X” or the “Cross” button when prompted to.
- It should automatically return to the XMB once it is done.
- Run DevHook v0.52.
- Select “Flash Install.”
- Select “Setup firmware from PSAR dumper.”
- Read the disclaimer, and press “O” or the “Circle” button if you agree with it.
- Once it is done, go back to the main DevHook v0.52 screen.
- Select “Firmware.”
- Select “Firmware 3.03.”
- Select “Start.”
- Reboot the PSP.
- Load DevHook v0.52 again and start FW3.03.
- It should say that the setup information is corrupt (BSoD), just press “O” or “Circle.”
- Reboot the PSP.
- Load DevHook v0.52 again and start FW3.03.
- You should now be able to apply your personal settings to your PSP!

YAY, $ony just give up your owned
Hi , i hate to ask. But im running out of idea’s. I can’t get Devhook 0.52 to work properly. After following the step by step guide (successfully) , i try to start one of my ISO’s. But after pressing “Start” i Devhook (with the ISO mount’ed) , it just starts the 3.03 firmware , and nothing more happens. Am i doing something wrong??. Shouldn’t i be able to see the ISO in the “game” menu. Or should the game start by it self??.
I hope someone can help me :-)

it should show up as the UMD. If you want the umd to start after reboot its on teh second menu
Hmm… Why do we to do step 8? Flash Install. Hmm… I have always skipped this step in all the previous devhooks and ran it straight off my memory stick… Hmm…

This does not mean that u can update to 3.02. This means it’s just a devhook update with 3.03 fw emulation for firmwares capable of running homberew.. i think u shdn’t update anymore.. Wait for the goods Dark_AleX’s gna bring..
And btw lando, devhook does not enable homebrew unless u’re emulating 1.5, den you can say that.
No, it means that you can use this on 1.0, 1.5, 1.5CFW, 2.71SE, and 3.02OE to emulate 3.03.

you can’t use devhook on 3.02. need to downgrade to 1.50. then you can use it.

I see no advantage to ever updating past 1.5 FW as long as they can continue to crack the latest firmwares for devhook emulation.

Come on man Booster is working on this for free. Before all the custom firmware came out it was Booster’s Devhook that started it all. Show some respect!

I think guys.. to make things easier.. use the backuped copy of ur 302’s F1 folder from the previous devhook and overwrite the F1 in the new one. In this way, u dun have to reboot ur PSP at all.. All settings are set as how it is for 3.02.. Rmb it’s just a security update and a must for recent PSX games.. So just use the F1 from 302.

@lando786, No! Don’t. This will only be for FW 1.50 users (or those custom firmwares). Not 2.80+ .. (but 2.80 is now available too downgrading tho..).
If you update your psp firmware to the official (sony) 3.02 you will not be using any homebrew in a very long time.
if psx games did work on this i hink it wud have been stated..
i would get the dark alex release than this… devhook it seems is getting overtaken !

y dont u just downgrade to 1.50 and then up to one of the custom firmwires.

What does 3.03 entail? What’s the purpose of updating unless you’re getting the PSX emulator?

Another firmware update available for the PSP, and this one includes minor security stuff, and an update to enhance the downloadable features from the PlayStation Store on the PS3 PlayStation Network. However, we still don’t have the ability to download PS games directly to the PSP, so you still need the PS3 to make things work.

its the most retarded… just download any PSX game from torrents, and convert them for PSP 4 free Moron. You dont need the Store or a PS3. Search the games online walla ;)

you have to have 1.5 or any custome firmware in order to run devhook so u cant run this, and plus why would u its already 3.3 its just that u cant run homebrew, and probably its gonna be like that for a long time

Hey Siege..u have to have a PSP with FW ver. 1.50 or 2.71 SE to run homebrew..my advice is to sell your PSP and buy one from ebay which has 1.50 FW or 2.71 SE… I was a noob too a few months ago and went thru the same thing..but, believe me it was the best investment I ever made. Anyone notice a different resolution size in their wallpapers? Seem to be smaller than before. New firmware bring tighter res? nice no flashing required.
This is great but all abit to unecessary for me right now as i have 3.02oe-b. not only does oe-b mean psx emulation of my own and purchased games but also gives the added convience of loading iso off the game folder on my psp. and i also dont have to keep exiting firwares to use homebrew. its the perfect firware allowing features of 1.5 and 3.02 and u have a recovery mode to revert back to 1.5. this is still a great acheivment.

If you are on firmware 3.02 OE-B you have to put psar dumper and devhook .52 in the GAME150 folder, samething happen to me, after i switched i installed fw 3.03 in no time
what if you already installed FW 3.03
if u are currently running fw 3.03 from the psp flash memory then no homebrew for you, if you are on 1.5, 2.71 SE, or 3.02 OE then u can run fw 3.03 by following the readme

Lets all rejoice in the splender of OE-B.
I have the 3.02 OE-B loaded and I tried using the previous Devhook for 3.02 in the hopes of getting a couple of 2.81 iso files to load. I kept getting that blue screen and nothing really happened beyond that. I would shut down and restart and that would be it. Plus, so far I havent been able to find any setting on there that will let me successfully load iso files like the previous devhooks. I know it’s SUPPOSED to, but so far it doesnt seem to work.
Also, I was wondering if it were possible to dump the 1.5 firmware into any of these devhook versions and load 1.5 off the memory stick while running 3.02 OE-B? I want to be able to use Fastloader and IR Shell again…
Man this is great, great props go out to all invovled in creating this, it was a very easy install, i doubt im going to use fw 3.03 but its nice thats its a option, fw 3.02 OE-B rules

No, Devhook never write to Flash memory..therefore, the Probability of bricking ur PSP is ZERO.. and for starters, i recommend u start with this version: http://www.psp-hacks.com/file/673
Download this and run the installer..and choose the first option: “Install Default DevHook 0.46 with 2.71 Firmware.”
This is automatic and u need FW 1.50 to run this. and I recommend that u format your memory stick before doing this. After everything is done, u can put iso game files in the iso folder and u r ready to PLAY…Again, this will never write to flash memory..NO Bricking Chance. You probably missed step 5: “Run the PSAR Dumper on your PSP and press “X” or the “Cross” button when prompted to.”
This makes the sigchecked fw decryption..so, I guess u have to repeat everything. Good luck.
