CWCheat 0.1.6 Rev. D for 3.02 OE POPS
greg | December 28, 2006
Now we’re talking business! weltall with another great release of CWCheat for 3.02 OE POPS (the PSX emulator). Included with Revision D is a new cheat engine supporting direct CAETLA / Action Replay / Game Shark codes; it should be 2.41+ compliant so you’re able to cheat your favourite PSX games directly (without modifying codes), like this:
_S SLUS_00664
_G XENOGEARS
_C0 xenogears: debug mode
_L 8004F34C 0000
_C0 xenogears: max money
_L 8006EF58 967F
_L 8006EF5A 0098
_C0 bart max attack
_L 3006DAE4 00FF
0.1.6 REV. D for 3.02OE/POPS
- included two versions one with caetla/AR/GS codes 2.41+ (Suggested for users) and one with cwcheat codes
- a new caetla/AR/GS 2.41+ cheat engine was written from scratch. This permits you to use CAETLA/AR/GS codes without modifying them at all
- the db was moved to /seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheatpops.db, the config was moved to /seplugins/cwcheat/cwcheatpops.ini
- now the game is recognised by cwcheat and proper cheats are loaded from it. the id of the game is something like SLES_12345
- the 0x aren’t required to input AR/CAETLA/GS codes so just put the code directly eg: _L 80015648 FFFF
- now the photo folder is created if not present this avoid crashes if it’s missing while doing the screenshots
- fixed a bug with the brightness function
- code types supported 80, 30, 10, 11, 20, 21, 50, D0, D1, D2, D3, E0, E1, E2, E3, C0, C1, C2
- the cheat searcher function search in the psx ram only and outputs psx code types
- the dump function dumps only the psx ram
- reorganised various part of the code

works great!
hey, can yu help me with the hack file…i restored default settings and all and copied to my game file but it still says its a corrupt file.
parental control is off to. please help me with this.
Wrong place…im in the v18 one…not here
awsome!!! im adding it right now
dont be mad but im number three yeay first time usually the closest is no 40-60
y did the other cw cheat eat up 2mbs of my memory and now i dont know what to delete to get my meory back can sum1 help i hve oe-a
If that doesn’t work then use Windows format With Fat(Not FAT32 or NTFS) then with the PSP format stick. This is sometimes cause with the psrdumper. It’s a hidden file not even windows can unhide. :-” Quakes Extreme Link see’s them files. But can not delete them. Windows formatting will get rid of them. To replace folder system psp format after.
Go to your setting and choose Format memory Stick. It may get rid of whatever is eating your memory.
thx again weltall. This works great. glad you were able to get only the codes for each game to show up instead of all of them together like with the first release. :D
nothing shows up in my cheat selection screen…am i doing something wrong?
Yeah I have nothing showing on my cheat selection either. I still don’t get how to add in cheats. The manual ADD doesn’t freaken work. the Windows app doesn’t come with instruction on how to use it.
N/M, I figured out you gotta right click cheatpops.db open with notepad.
Same here, cheatworks menu shows up, but no cheats
man, ive been lookin everywhere for a solution to this problem. SOMEONE HELP!!!
I finally just got the SLUS id to show up, but the game name doesnt show
When Going into the Select Cheats and Edit the Blank screen. The save DB doesn’t work either.
Screw it, I went back to rev B or C what ever the other one was.
On the side note: I did finally figure how to getthe cheat in. now I’m styling with
FF7 Infinite Gil: 65535.
Ive tried just about every possible combo an still have gotten nothing. gonna try to msg the maker himself
do you guys find that it jams the psp or is it just me ????
I’ve only run it on FF7 so far and have yet to notice any sluggish usage.
What codes do you use on ff7
???
_G Final Fantasy 7
_C0 FF7: max money(65535)
_L 0×1109d260 0×0000ffff
This what it shows in the Game using the CWcheat REV B/C. I couldn’t get the D working and the Site has been done. Probably doto not wanting to hear ppl bitching it’s not working. lol. No worries. I can wait. :D
EDIT: 65535 – This what it shows in the Game using the CWcheat REV B/C.
SLy if you want to use REV D these codes work with FF7 http://db.gamefaqs.com/console/psx/file/final_fantasy_vii_game_shark.txt
I got all the codes I need. I have an Action Replay for PS1. Got it a few years back. It was a PS2 and PSone Combo. Course this was before knowing of the fliptop and swap magic.
if you see . or ; in the game id and you can’t load cheats try this:
http://cwcheat.zioale.it/cwcheatpops.prx
that’s the thing. It doesn’t show nothing in the Cheat select. Switching DB’s doen’t help at showing them and using them in the CW Cheat. I’ll try the above and see what happens.
OK, I tried and failed again to get D to work. I replaced the above file with the one that goes on the psp’s mem stick. It still doesn’t work. B/C works fine. So, I guess till more ppl speak up the problem persist.
As I stated before. The codes don’t load and if you edit the blank screen for the codes and try and save it it doesn’t save nore reload on restart. D is bugged for me. I can not get it to function right. Is there something I’m missing besides the copy MS_Root files/folders to Root of psp mem stick? And yes enabling them in the OE-B has been done. Have to do that on every ini replace..
i got it to work on digimon world it was easy i dont see whats too hard about it
What are you using to use it? DevHook or Custom Firmware? I’m on 3.02 OE-B. If you read up I’m not the only D*mb*ss that aint got it to work. hahaha
does anybody have gs codes for castlevania SOTN. and how do you put it in the db. i am new to this. please help, many thanx
How do i find out the id of the game. eg. castlevania SOTN. I got some gameshark codes for this game but dont know how to put it in or make it to work. please help
read all of the comments and the readme.txt that came with the app, if still confused ask again
RomComZom. sorry to bother you but i still dont know how to get it to work. could you give me example. if you can castlevania SOTN would be geat. many thanx
SOTN (USA) is SLUS_00067.
Though, for some reason, CWCheat is reporting it as “LUS_000.7″.
Replacing the original cwcheatpops.prx file with the one weltall linked up there —^ fixed the missing ‘S’, as well as corrected the ‘.’ where a ‘6′ should have been, and I am now able to properly load GameShark cheats with Castlevania: Symphony of the Night [SLUS_00067]. Thanks, weltall!
SOTN example for “need help”:
_S SLUS_00067
_G Castlevania SOTN
_C0 Max Luck
_L 80097BC4 03E7
_C0 Big Money Bags
_L 80097BF0 FFFF
Oh yeah, and one of the most often overlooked instructions in the CWCheat manual (weltall: please make this more clear in the readme.txt for future releases!) is that, in order to launch the CWCheat menu in-game (to enable/disable cheats, etc.), you must hold (by default) the SELECT button for ~3 seconds. Cheers and happy cheating!
weltall: Are you aware that the “Enable usb” function on 3.02 OE-B (sans-DevHook) currently does not work?
yeah it’s clearly stated in the readme at least the first for pops. it’s deliberately not working because pops doesn’t load usb.prx the only solution would be modifying the pspbtcnf_pops.txt in flash (if it works)
anyway have a look at this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aLzLq17XqzY
:D
Dude, I’ve replaced all files with the RAR on your site also. Copy files/folder inside the MS_ROOT to psp ROOT mem. Reload the Settings in OE-B. It doesn’t work. I’m like just about to give up with the D.
MS_ROOT/seplugins/cwcheat/cheatpops.db
MS_ROOT/seplugins/cwcheatpops.prx
MS_ROOT/seplugins/pops.txt
Enable OE-B SETTINGS. Nothing Works. No codes Show and No codes work. Simple intructions. I aint a moron. They are not working. The PSP Was a Bought 1.52 Firmware. It doesn’t have new boards. :| … B/C Works So I guess I play with that. No Big deal.
P>S Yes I know of the 3sec hold of the cwcheat menu. Enable Cheats [Y] go into Select cheats. NOTHING there. Edit Blank screen. Edit code given. Save Select. Reboot. Still nothing. Code was not replaced nore saved.
/seplugins/cwcheat/cheatpops.db
/seplugins/cwcheatpops.prx
/seplugins/pops.txt
So you don’t get me wrong thinking that I moved the folder MS_ROOT into the mem stick. Cause I didn’t.
don’t you see this comment here?
“if you see . or ; in the game id and you can’t load cheats try this:
http://cwcheat.zioale.it/cwcheatpops.prx “
Yes, I’ve replaced that file. **2K file size diference. I’ve reformatted the mem. Replaced all files Redid all Setting from OE-B to 3Sec hold Select CW Cheat Menu setting. I’ve watched that VID above. The only thing diferent with that vid to the CW settings is the MEM selection. Under the “Return to game” I don’t know dude. I’ve done just about all that can be done. B/C works D doesn’t.
what is the ID to Tekken 3?
what id do you see on the main menu?
I see Tekken/CE
Hmm..I feel like a moron!! SLy, you ready to feel dumb too? put “cheatpops.db” in “X:\seplugins\cwcheat”..got all my cheats working. we had a case of the noobdays.
Well, I don’t. “Feel Like a moron that is” The readme doesn’t state that the Codes SCUS/SCES Numbers need to match the Databases Cheat info. No where does it state that the cheatpops.db needs to be in the same folder as the other. After fixing the Codes inside the cheat.db to the right SCUS # and adding the rest the codes do show. Nice Program! Readme SUX!
Thanks for the heads up RomComZom. They are now working with the D
NOTE: Saving the Enabled codes makes the PSP CRASH.
Sorry guys I really need some help over here cause its my first time using CWcheat. I installed CWcheat manually according to the instruction and now all I want to do is to change my CPU Clock Speed to 333 since OE-B doesn’t have built-in to adjust the speed. Can anyone help me?
It works 4 me in PS1 games, but not in PSP. Any comments?
