Dark_AleX with the best gift of all Christmas morning — 3.02 OE-B! As you’re probably aware OE-B allows the emulation of any PSX (PSOne) title; whether it be downloaded from the online PS3 store or obtained by some other means. You’ll need 3.02 OE-A flashed first in order to upgrade.
Quoted from the Readme:
This is the update from OE-A to OE-B.
Place the folder OEB_UPDATE inside /PSP/GAME150 and run it.
The update will take a very little time, since it only updates the files needed.
The new addition of this update is the ability of playing your own psx games, using the provided
tool (popstation) to convert them.Although, a feature that was in OE-A and i forgot to comment:
You can use plugins in psx games. Just create a file called pops.txt inside seplugins, with the
path of your modules.
Have a look at “psx_readme.txt” and “popstation/readme.txt” for more information regarding the conversion of PSX titles.

Ive tried this numerous times doesnt work for me. Anyone else had trouble installing, if i put the oebupdate folder into game150 and cant see it in the game section. help, im stuck on 3.02a i can only see it if i put it in the game section, and then it craps out. any ideas muchly appreciated.
Yes me to. dunno whats wrong but ice created the missing folder GAME150 and nothing happend it didnt pop up. but then i tryed to put the folder in GAME and it came but couldnt be loaded. ????
There is a trick to it. i never get it to B until today. my problem is i don’t have the folder game150 on my psp. notice how they mentioned game150 folder. so created one and put the upgrade B in there and run it. it works great. Way ta go DAX!

Make sure you first use the noob installer and then use this update. If you RTFM you’ll see how you can go back to 1.5 by holding the R trigger.

Use the hair driver trick on the void sticker, peel each side just enought to get to the screws, get screws out, swap mobos with a nother psp used (old one from gamestop and put everything back together without ruining the void sticker and wala, you have a non ta-082 mobo, and your money back (when you return it back for cash instead for another psp).

its safe if u do it right so read the “readme” included carefully, and you need to downgrade to 1.5 if you want to upgrade to 3.02oe B, the safest and easiest downgrader to use is DARK ALEXs generic downdater for 2.71 (if u hav 2.71)

lol u dnt need 2 format, afta u hav transfered the update folder, disable USB then go to game, memory stick then select ur update then press X
no it’s like 1 sec flashing and that’s it. It’s not a serious update. It’s just updating the systemctrl.prx and some other i forgot. So don’t have to worry about bricking :P

I created game150 folder. Put the update folder in it, but when I disconnect the USB there is no update folder. Reconnect USB and the folder I copied is no longer there!!!!

Erase ..271 from that folder and type 302 you need GAME, GAME150 & GAME302 folders inside of PSP folder

when i first renamed the eboot file i name it “BASE.PBP” I deleted it and took the file over again from hot shots and named it “BASE” and sence it’s already a pbp file i just tried to use it like that and it worked.

Why not flash your 1.5? I did mine back when Dark Alex put out the 2.71, and it has been great. I can run all of my 1.5 homebrew and new iso’s as well. You are staying in the dark ages. Time to accept the future my friend…..

Im just downgraded my 2.8-1.5, and Im not shure if i understand it all. It i yous the 3.02A and B. Can i go back to 1.5 if i want to? Sorry for asking. but i do not risk uppgrading if iIm not 120% shure that i can go back to 1.5.

Orz, changed from 2.71SE-C to 3.02OE-A and worked fine, went to install the upgrade to 3.02OE-B,… got an error midway and kapow! Xmas miracle of a bricked psp lol. Well that sucks D: /flush a lot of monies

Ok as for the KEYS.bin yes just use the one that comes with hot shots 2 and you don’t need a ps3 just the 3.02 OE-B firmware and yes you can still use 1.50 emulators

Works well with memory sticks but NOT with the Datel 4GB HDD. I can confirm this. Works with my 1GB Stick. Guess i have to buy a bigger Stick now or i hope there will be a patch. Anyway this piece of firmware is on hell of a software. Exellent work DAX and merry chrismas.

Im sick of ppl sayin READ the instructions, its not so easy if you ARE reading the instructions & getting the same error as others then different errors after….
heres mine, first i got a cygwin1.dll error, i had it installed but musta been corrupt so i used the one from my psp link folder, worked a treat.
Secondly, now the only way i know to run a prog in command prompt is to open command prompt in Start/Programs/Accessories/Command Prompt, then drag the popstation.exe into it, it then tells me this error……….
Invalid number of arguments.

Tell you what. I’ve updated my (Extreme Link) program.. I put in it a POPstation GUI usage. No texting paths no wondering WTF the ISO name. It’s all point and click. To get it. first look on the home page and get the full in. install that and the OCX’s and DLL part afterwords. After doing that. Look into the Options and then click on Update. There is a link to get the Updated Extreme Link. Very usefull program.
But, Like i said there’s a GUI POPstation Added in the 1.2.9b.

Hwy spawniard try this. Google for “download cygwin1.dll” download it and put it in the /windows/system32 folder and voila, popstation works.
cygwin1.dll you can find it on psp usb driver, it work fine

First thing I did was put the EBOOT.PBP(rename to BASE.PBP) and KEYS.BIN from HSG2 in the pspstation folder along with the cygwin1.dll. also put your iso in the popstation folder now cut the folder to your C drive for example C:\popstation. Now go to Start/Programs/Accessories/Command Prompt it will look like this C:\Documents and Settings\Briana Fulmer>. then put in “cd..” and it goto C:\Documents and Settings> put “cd..” once again and it will look like C:\> now put in cd popstation and it will look like C:\popstation> now type “popstation your iso name.iso and it will make you a EBOOT.PBP put that new EBOOT.PBP and the keys.bin in a folder with any name in the GAME folder of your memstick and then your good to go.
to make this even easyer
in THE POPSTATION folder make a run.bat file edit the file with :
popstation.exe *.iso
and save the file …
now u only have to copy over the iso file into the popstation folder and dobbel klik on the BAT file :D

1.5 homebrew in game150 foler .. ussually those contaning 2 folder 1 homebrew …. if is the homebrew that only contain 1 folder it goes in game302

You need the Hot Shots Golf 2 EBOOT.PBP as well, rename it to BASE.PBP and put it in the popstation folder. Try again and it shoudl work.
rename the eboot.php to base.php then it works

and i put the BASE.PBP, KEYS.BIN, DOCUMENT.DAT, and the iso in the same directory as the popstation which is C:\popstation
I changed the ISO name to popstation resident.img, and i ran the program from the command, and it still just pop out and disappears, if anyone can help thx
make a bat file called 1.bat edit the file with this :
popstation.exe *.img
and save the file now copy what ever img u have into popstation folder and dobbel klik on the bat file and there u have the eboot.pbp

ok, i put the eboot in psp/game/psx and then went to my game thing on the psp and click the hot shots golf picture and it started then i got an error. Game could no be started. CA000005
that a error that mean that you forgot to copy the keys.bin file into the psx folder :D
okay i did as the popstation readme said and it doesn’t work i also have the ddl file :( it starts and turns off after 1 second the Gran Turismo iso is 400mb

in the root of the card on the psp
make a new folder called :
seplugins
and 2 txt files called vsh.txt and game.txt
inside both txt files input this :
ms0:/seplugins/oc.prx
then save the files and turn off the psp … now hold down R1 while turning on the psp and gointo the plugin meny and aktivate the oc module and exit …. now you can use select + start ingame or inmeny to change cpu ! :D

remember inside the BAT file that were it says *.iso or *.img ..you have to input the 3 last letters from the copy of the file name u try to convert
worm, can you elaborate on the whole “last three letters thing”. ive got the hotshots icon showing but im getting an error still. i have the keys in the folder as well. im using a friends computer and for some reason when i try to use the command prompt it says its already in use. as a matter of fact i cant even use the task manager (weird huh?). anyways, im using an .img file in case that matters.

PLease help… i’ve made a popstation folder with the edited hot shots golf file (BASE.PBP), Cygwin1.dll, FF7 CD1 disc image, keys bin file (from hot shots), the popstation.exe, and my own created .bat file, which does not work. When I click on teh .bat file, an error says ‘C:\popstation\1.bat is not a valid win32 application. I think i’ve had this error before…..what can I do? Am desperate to play FF7.

Well the first conversion worked .img format, but now im tryn to convert another game which is in .iso format and i changed the .BAT file *.iso and the conversion works but when i star the game the screen just stays black, im ging to replace the files all over again and re convert it to see if that may be the problem, or is there something i dont know WORM.??
oh and also when I type in ‘popstation.exe’ into the command prompt, I get the error ‘popstation.exe is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file’. What am I doing wrong?

Did you have to replace all the files that were in the folder after you converted a different format?? Because resident evil which was a .img file worked after just tryng one time, then i put in a .iso file and changed the .bat to iso and it converted but when i start the game the screen just stays black, i can still go back to the home screen.

I put this together in 5 minutes. it’s a self contained unit that you can use inside the popstation(recommended) folder or on your desktop. All files are still needed to be in the same folder as the popstation.

hey, could some1 tell me where extatly do i put the files with OC module for OE-B? And what text files must be created?
create vsh.txt
copy oc.prx to the seplugins dir in the root of the storage card !

i made it, it appears now!! but after activating it how do i change to 333mhz?
hold down select + start or the other way around dont remember…. do this before runnung the hotshot2 game “converted game”
man , dont kno what more i can do , i guess ill have to stick with devhook to get the games running on 333mhz ..ive doubled checked and everything .. if its my fault its a very small detial im missing out on..bloodhound any advice dude
i got it working..i named the files vsh.txt..i should have named them jsut vsh ..ffs lol..anyways its all cool

WORM Did you have to replace all the files that were in the folder after you converted a different format?? Because resident evil which was a .img file worked after just tryng one time, then i put in a .iso file and changed the .bat to iso and it converted but when i start the game the screen just stays black, i can still go back to the home screen.
im sure its a dead iso file you have

its not dead, well i think it aint, because its already burned onto a cd which i play on my modded ps2, i just made a copy of it to my computer as a .iso file, thats what im converting, so far no luck, only the ones ive downloaded from the net were the ones that have worked after the conversion.
i delete the eboot.pbp and edit the bat for the new conversion… nothing else ..everytime i allso recopy the keys.bin after iv made a new game
I see the hots shots icon before i start the game but when i click on the icon, the screen just goes black. Why is this?? What do i need 2 do?
where do i put the popstation folder and where do i put the psx games?

hey worm, wouldni it be easier if you write a manual to use this popstation tool, and how to convert psx games to psp playable games, and where to put all this files and which ones to rename, and all that, because im having trouble with all this, would you help me with this…
the readme file say it all it came included in the downloaded file ….i belive there is no easy way to tell how to get it up running ps1 games :D
