ok i dont have the folder PSP/GAME150
but i do have the DAME folder, do i put the oeb update there?
I put the folder in the GAME folder and ran the update, but it said THE GAME COULD NOT BE STARTED, any thoughts??

ok i just created the folder GAME150 inside the PSP folder and it worked

Orz, changed from 2.71SE-C to 3.02OE-A and worked fine, went to install the upgrade to 3.02OE-B,… got an error midway and kapow! Xmas miracle of a bricked psp lol. Well that sucks D: /flush a lot of monies

Ok as for the KEYS.bin yes just use the one that comes with hot shots 2 and you don’t need a ps3 just the 3.02 OE-B firmware and yes you can still use 1.50 emulators

Works well with memory sticks but NOT with the Datel 4GB HDD. I can confirm this. Works with my 1GB Stick. Guess i have to buy a bigger Stick now or i hope there will be a patch. Anyway this piece of firmware is on hell of a software. Exellent work DAX and merry chrismas.

Im sick of ppl sayin READ the instructions, its not so easy if you ARE reading the instructions & getting the same error as others then different errors after….
heres mine, first i got a cygwin1.dll error, i had it installed but musta been corrupt so i used the one from my psp link folder, worked a treat.
Secondly, now the only way i know to run a prog in command prompt is to open command prompt in Start/Programs/Accessories/Command Prompt, then drag the popstation.exe into it, it then tells me this error……….
Invalid number of arguments.
Usage: /cygdrive/c/Docs n Settings/Me/Desktop/Popstation/Popstation File.iso

the reason i did try this software was becoes i was so happy for the DEMO disc that followed the psx when i bougth it…i can´t find just 1 of those demo´s .. and i think is a damn shame becoes i really loved the ligths and colours that ligtheded up while playing different fequencies of music…

Hwy spawniard try this. Google for “download cygwin1.dll” download it and put it in the /windows/system32 folder and voila, popstation works.

cygwin1.dll you can find it on psp usb driver, it work fine

First thing I did was put the EBOOT.PBP(rename to BASE.PBP) and KEYS.BIN from HSG2 in the pspstation folder along with the cygwin1.dll. also put your iso in the popstation folder now cut the folder to your C drive for example C:\popstation. Now go to Start/Programs/Accessories/Command Prompt it will look like this C:\Documents and Settings\Briana Fulmer>. then put in “cd..” and it goto C:\Documents and Settings> put “cd..” once again and it will look like C:\> now put in cd popstation and it will look like C:\popstation> now type “popstation your iso name.iso and it will make you a EBOOT.PBP put that new EBOOT.PBP and the keys.bin in a folder with any name in the GAME folder of your memstick and then your good to go.

I JUST upgraded to oe-b but i see some corrupted data in the game section…what is that?? and also, what things go into the GAME150 folder and what goes in GAME302?

how can i make the popstation work i want to play psx games i have 3.02 b or the new one, i have popstation with the cygwin file with the key file, i need the eboot file and need to know if u have to have a iso or can u use a cso psx file. And how to make the psx games work on my psp.

I have just played Castlevania SOTN and Cotton (rip) - run almost perfect (both), but Castlevania have some little graphical glitches. Overall score - 9.5 ! Great release !
p.s.I love custom firmwares, incredible and usefull thing !

i just make a cd iso from DBZ finalbout, i got, cygwin1.dll, and keys.bin
when I try this:
D:\psx>popstation.exe dbzfinalbout.iso
Cannot open BASE.PBP

what is wrong?

OK i put the cygwin1.dll in the windows/system32 folder,
and i put the BASE.PBP, KEYS.BIN, DOCUMENT.DAT, and the iso in the same directory as the popstation which is C:\popstation
I changed the ISO name to popstation resident.img, and i ran the program from the command, and it still just pop out and disappears, if anyone can help thx

Works like a charm. I’m the happiest person in da world cuz i’m playing FF7 on my PSP.

Though, higher capacity battery would also be nice with PSX emu…

hmmm i was able to convert resident evil they were ccd, img files, now that im tryn to convert metal gear which is an .iso file it just pops up and disappears again any help?

ok, i put the eboot in psp/game/psx and then went to my game thing on the psp and click the hot shots golf picture and it started then i got an error. Game could no be started. CA000005

okay i did as the popstation readme said and it doesn’t work i also have the ddl file :( it starts and turns off after 1 second the Gran Turismo iso is 400mb

ok here’s my prob…maybe someone could help me out….. I metal slug x in .bin and .cue. and i think im placing the files wrong to create the image… i already renamed the hotshots thing to base.pbp..but where do i put it?????? in the popstation directory????….also…i downloaded the cygwin1.dll file and placed it on the popstation directory…but when i click on the popstation.exe icon…it turns on for like a millisecond and turns off. and nothing happens…..what am i doing wrong……..im not a noob but im misssing something….any ideas..??????

What does a firmware dump mean, I got firmware 2.81 so if i upgrade can i downgrade now?

what i mean is, it doesnt happear at the menu while pressin R1 when turning on the psp, could you tell me exatly where to put the files?

Iv tried 2 so far that keep coming up with same errors, the game will boot bit psx eula type screen, then goes off to XMB error, like, Game could not be started (error 800008). thats with tekken & redi evil 3, anyone else having same probs

PLease help… i’ve made a popstation folder with the edited hot shots golf file (BASE.PBP), Cygwin1.dll, FF7 CD1 disc image, keys bin file (from hot shots), the popstation.exe, and my own created .bat file, which does not work. When I click on teh .bat file, an error says ‘C:\popstation\1.bat is not a valid win32 application. I think i’ve had this error before…..what can I do? Am desperate to play FF7.
What exactly do I type in the command prompt to get this to work without the .bat? I’ve been trying for hours…please help

Well the first conversion worked .img format, but now im tryn to convert another game which is in .iso format and i changed the .BAT file *.iso and the conversion works but when i star the game the screen just stays black, im ging to replace the files all over again and re convert it to see if that may be the problem, or is there something i dont know WORM.??

oh and also when I type in ‘popstation.exe’ into the command prompt, I get the error ‘popstation.exe is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program, or batch file’. What am I doing wrong?

Does this thing support more then 2GB of memory??????

I put this together in 5 minutes. it’s a self contained unit that you can use inside the popstation(recommended) folder or on your desktop. All files are still needed to be in the same folder as the popstation.

WORM Did you have to replace all the files that were in the folder after you converted a different format?? Because resident evil which was a .img file worked after just tryng one time, then i put in a .iso file and changed the .bat to iso and it converted but when i start the game the screen just stays black, i can still go back to the home screen.

I see the hots shots icon before i start the game but when i click on the icon, the screen just goes black. Why is this?? What do i need 2 do?

So has anyone tried putting 2 psx games at one time and checked if it works?? because i know you put a folder in GAME , called SCUS00000, but what can you name another folder to put another psx game with the eboot and all????

WORM its not dead, well i think it aint, because its already burned onto a cd which i play on my modded ps2, i just made a copy of it to my computer as a .iso file, thats what im converting, so far no luck, only the ones ive downloaded from the net were the ones that have worked after the conversion.
