Devhook is more compatible with games than the ISO/CSO loader in OE-A. That’s why you might need devhook for custom firmwares.

i ain’t downloading nothing made by chaoszero because he was the one that gave us all the fake downgrader just for attention. he is a jerk and an asshole for what he did and he lost all respect from us n00bs. he ain’t worth shit to us anymore.

all chaoszero does is copy OTHER people’s coding work and puts it in a simple installer that anyone can make in 5 minnutes. chaoeszero has NO coding skills what so ever. all he does is copy other people’s work and puts his name on it. that is why nobody here respects him at all. plus he released a fake downgrader that could of fucked all our psps up.

All the PSX games released so far SUCK. So I’m sticking to 1.50 and Devhook………trust me the new devhook coming up will have all of this plus the location free player. I do think that Dark Alex is a genious but BOOSTER is a GOD.

look in the recovery menu ( see if 1.5 kernel its selected, device hook 0.51 need that’s ur kernel its 1.5 running ).

change the kernel to 1.5 and put the dev folder into the GAME folder ( try out this xD )

i just flashed a jap psp with chaos zero’s installer and everything went awesome. i’ve never flashed before (had virgin 1.5) but i have to say that so far i am very impressed.

i do have a quick question however…

i heard that you no longer need to name your videos with the weird maq10005 etc. names anymore. that you can just name your videos what you want. i think they are supposed to go in a video folder however and i’m not sure if this works with 3.02 or even where the video goes. if anyone knows anything and could help that would be awesome. thanks!

I installed this onto my firmware 1.5 psp. When i turn the psp on only the green light turns on and the screen remains black. THen it automaticallly restarts. WHat can i do to fix this?

WARNING: this can BRICK your psp even if you follow instructions. i had a firmware 1.5 psp that i downgraded from a 2.7 se after some of my homebrew wasn’t working. i installed 302_BASIC_Installer_150 onto my psp. after launching the program off of my game folder, it finished flashing my psp and said MANUALLY RESTART YOUR PSP. I did this and next thing you know i have a bricked psp. bye psp and bye homebrew scene. thanks for wrecking my christmas Chaos Zero.

i installed the 1.5 devhook and did the firmware dump and all it does is bring me to that blue screen with languages every time i try to emulate 3.02 through devhook… looks like im going back to hybrid for now unless anyone has any ideas how to get it working

Dark Alex make the Holy’s CF, Chaos Zero make the Holy’s Installer and Booster make the MOFO HOLY’S Device Hook xD~~

found out why i kept on getting the blue screen after starting dev hook : )
goto dh folder,3.02 and make sure you have a folder called “f1″ if not then make 1 and it should work fine

maybe the installer ( 3.02 and recovery ) get’s corrupted Jaswinder.

m@g1k. TA082 cant run Custom Firmwares because a instability when try to find the 1.5 eboot ( what TA082 doesn’t support, i think i’ve saw a downgrader thats make ur TA082 a 2.71 SE-C, dont know if this works for sure =/~~ )

I don’t think the version 3.02 is stable yet, it prompts me for the system error and asking me to press “O” to reset.

I think booster need to release devhook with PS1 supported, so need to go to 3.02 OE

Everything went smooth with the installation but it seems like some of my saves aren’t working all of a sudden (Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops, Pro Evolution Soccer 6). Are they tied to the PSP similar to the Xbox and is there some way to get around it?

Thanks Chaos_zero for another head ache free installer. It installed perfectly, It also DOES support NO UMD fine.

I went to recovery mode, pressed X on “configuration” and pressed X on “Game folder homebrew” to change to 1.50.

Then I pressed X on “Use NO-UMD” to enable it and now can open “UMD DAX Dumper Beta” and play ISO’s UMD free.

No more laser wear, UNREAL!!

p.s Chaos, I wouldn’t bother trying to make a downgrader for the ta-082. From the response you got from the failed downgraded they ( ta-082 owners, the one’s that complained anyway ) are a bunch of ungratefull pricks that don’t deserve homebrew.

carter, put the Crash folder ( it has number on it, like the oficial demos ) in the GAME folder and try out =]

I had 4 GB stick on 2.71 official and it didn’t work correctly. In official version 2.81 and higher 4 GB memory stick start to be compatible, but i’m not sure about custom firmware 3.02OE-A?

carter60, what’s a torrent!. sounds like yours should work seeing you have an eboot, try removing the document. Keep the other folders in ms:\psp\games and try starting again.

Hey It worked successfully no problems at all when i installed it i had a UMD and no problem no error in browser or video everything perfect ps one is awesome but one thing that ticks me off is a common problem that when u boot your psp it doesnt go the xmb it goes str8 to the umd how do i change that ??? its annoying having to quit it everytime

Chaos Zero deserves some more respect for his work. I’m sure no one’s getting paid to go out of their way to share these wonderful CF’s. He makes it so much easier. I tried to install 2.71se-b manually and it I’m not retarted, but after studying it for a couple days and then trying to get it done, I couldn’t do it. I am not a noob and Chaos Zero is the man. He is King of Ultimate Installers and nobody should question that. Go ahead, somebody else make an easy installer and see how many people even trust you enough to try it out. I am now going to my PS3 to use my new remote play feature, Thanks again Chaos Zero and to Booster and Dark Alex, my three favorite people in the hacking community

Currently I’m using 2.71SE-B” and I’ve been wondering whether I need 2.71SE-C before 3.02 OE, or can I go directly from 2.71 SE-B” to 3.02 OE? The directions refer to 2.71 SE users, so I’m assuming 2.71SE-B” should have no problems upgrading to 3.02 OE.

This is not directed to anyone in special:
1st- Learn to type
2nd- Don’t blame Chaos_Zero by two reasons: he only makes installers to make everybody’s life easier (hey, even if application originally released was a bricker, you can’t blame Chaos_Zero, because all he did was to help you and others). Also, all he did with the TA-082 ‘downgrader’ was to publish it with the message ‘Use this at your own risk, because this has not been tested yet’ (not to mention that this supposed ‘downgrader’ could only make people lose time and didn’t end up with any bricks).
3rd-If you think it is that easy to code installers for everyone, why don’t you try to do it?

Personally, I trust Chaos_Zero, and I don’t see any reason to stop.

OK pips… here’s how the recovery thingy works,

First of all, you all have to format your memory stick-knowing that you already intalled the 3.02 oe already, then go and set your psp to default settings.
Now download, or install the recovery to your memory card. After it’s done, turn your psp off. Now, while holding the R-trigger turn your psp on and you should be able see the Recovery Menu. Then you just read the instructions and… BOOM! 1.50 Firmware! Ok kids…and please dont go hating on CZ cuz his just trying to help us all out. Peace! =P

Has anyone had problems with viewing photos with this as when I goto do anything with a image, zoom in/out etc then it just freezes up the psp, I’m not a noob, i’ve been upgrading/downgrader since it started and been running 2.71se-c fine but if this is a common fault on this firmware then its a big oversight and issue, not that I don’t apreciate all the work dark alex and chaoszero put in coz they are super tech dudes

i did everything it said in the instructions and my psp brick, don’t know why, am going to try the recovery with the instructions said here to see if it works and will let you know. i had fw 2.71se and it was working fine till i did this update.

For goodness sake, I realise this has to be done whenever a new version of intsaller comes out. Noob, get this clear.

1)THIS IS STRICTLY ONLY FOR V1.5 PSP.

2) USING THIS INSTALLER WILL NOT BRICK YOUR PSP, UNLESS YOU ARE TOOT ENOUGH.

What if i want to go back to 1.5?? How do i uninstall this firmware, do i have to download the 1.5 firmware or what

This installer needs better instructions. No way im installing any kind of “Firmware” on my psp without knowing exactly what will happen. Before upgrading or installing, make sure that you have the correct firmware, and know what’s going to happen.

OK Go, its ok it worked perfectly for me, even some games that didnt work on DH are working now with this , and whats even better your psp always goes into 3.02 FW and you can load your iso’s straight form your MS

This is great, because no doubt devhook will support the later firmwares as they come out, and we may need the later firmwares when games start coming out that need the new features and firmware 4.00+ (if it comes out)

it was so easy to install this..i dont know why so many are having problems….i was watching some ronaldinho’s goals and installing this….

This should come with an uninstaller :/ Not a single part of it seems to work on my PSP.

The 3.02 OE-A installer works perfect. From 1.5 to 3.02oe-a no problem. No BSOD at all on install, all settings saved. ISO and PS1 games work. Not all my ISO’s have worked thou. PS1 games work, install in PSP/GAME/SCUS00001(includes 3 files document.vcd, eboot.pbp and keys.bin) playing Syphon Filter as i type this. Thank You DAX. Merry X-Mas to all, and all goodnight

guys. im a newbie to the whole custom firmwaree scene so any help would be much apreshiated. =] i own a 1.5 psp and am sooking to upgrade to the new 3.02 cust firmware. any tips on how to do it right as im am mpetrified of bricking my psp. cheers

Use Chaos Zero’s Installer it works like a charm, just perfect. No BSOD at all for me.

SHALL I UPDATE 2 3.02 CUSTOM FW IF I DOWNGRADED FROM 2.71 NORMAL USING GENERIC DOWNDATER? OR SHALL I UPDATE AND THEN DOWNGRADE AGAIN JUST 2 B SURE?

in the easy installer there are two options
1 install 3.02 oe-a

2 install recovery to return to 1.5

if i install recovery first and then install 3.02 oe-a
will i be able to enter recovery menu if 3.02 oe-a bricks my psp

and return to 1.5

I install this file on my PSP DH0510100_150.exe
I run Dev Hook Firmware installer this O.K.
BUT when I run the dev hook this message appear:the settings are be corrupted please press “O” button to repair it..
and after boot back 1.50
what is the problem?

Devhook .51 caused my PSP to show the blue screen, I got away from that, and my settings went to default. Do I need DH to run the PS1 games on this? I have a hyrbid DH that I use as Iso loader.

ARgh, I can’t get no-umd to work with oe-b – I have to have it disabled and a umd in the drive to play iso’s for gta:vcs and mgs:po. And Chaos, you rock. I for one appreciate your EZ installers, it just makes things, well, easier.

If I have installed DH0.51.100 Already on FW1.5 is it safe to format my Memstick and install 3.02 OE-A?? Cheers in advance… you guys do an amazing job!!!

used CZ’s installer for 3.02OE and i have to say…that was easy!!!! been a devhook user and this is my first custom firmware. process was a breeze and the firmware is stable so far. PSX games work great too!!! Thanks Chaos for this great installer!!! Keep ‘em coming!!

Hi, I’m on firmware version 2.71SE” and was wondering if I could use the Devhook Installer directly from this firmware version? Also, when I DID try it run the installer, it freezes at 59%. Does this happen to anyone else?

yes this happened to me 2. just let the installer install evrything and it will be arite.it freezes for a while and then finishes str8 after.

and if you got a brick (dead psp) then theres no need 2 buy a card reader, just borrow a friends psp and have your formated memory stick in it
