I tried to enter the System Settings Menu but I gut the wierd blue screen with different languages error.

I tried to play ISOs, and Homebrew placed in the GAME150 folder and it get stuck in sony gameboot screen..

It really worked, you should try it, i just created a folder called ISO in the root of the ms, put madden07 there, went on to game on the menu, and it was there, played it, everything seems to be working fine.

i have the 3.02 file oe-a and when i open with rar it gives a header corrupt for some files

from wat i read on the readme….it seems that you have to get a game from sony(…or one that you have already ”purchased”..get it???) and put it in the game folder …..and after that check if it works……..it seems that you can get a whole bunch of errors….havent tried it myself yet……i have to go and ”buy” a game first. ……laterzzz….

hold up peeps when I did this with mine every thing worked first time but i’ve just done this with my bros and the first I tried with his I got a empty dxar the second time it it made 17,936KB one but as soon as his psp tried opening it for the install it BRICKED!!! guess that will have to go on faulty at work then tomorrow but still carefull chaps if your getting empty dxar

whoever is having the problem with the data.dxar and it being 0kb make sure your firmware eboots are named 150 and 302 i renamed mine to 320 instead of 302 and it gave me the dxar file that was empty and…my saved games still dont work it says its curupted

I´ve got a 1.5 PSP with the 32 Mem-stick that came with the PSP. I’m kind of eager to try this out… can I upgrade to this custom FW with this stick or should I wait till I get my 4 GB mem-stick next week?

There are bugs regarding plugins.. When enabled, always crash when trying to switch the PSP on.. I had to take the memory stick out to let it run properly. Otherwise, i disable the plugins. But, i hope this bug will be fixed asap! (: 3.02OE-A is just sweet. No need for devhook! Only for now i guess..

Excuse my confusion as I’m finding it hard to understand all the different methods and installs for Devhook & FW X.xx

But is it a requirement to flash updates to the actual flash memory on the PSP?
I have FW1.5 and have always loved that fact 0.46 and below only used the FW competely off the memory stick. If you have a 2GB stick or higher, surely you can afford a little extra space for the FW files instead of offloading them to real flash mem.

you need the 1.5 firmware .pbp and rename it to updated.pbp and put in recovery forlder. hope this helps..

4. Now, download the 1.5 Update
5. Rename the update from EBOOT.PBP to UPDATE.PBP.
6. Copy it to X:\PSP\GAME\RECOVERY\, there should now be 2 .prx files and 3 .pbp files
7. Turn off and turn back on your PSP, holding the ‘R’ button. Recovery console will come up DO NOT PANIC!
8. Scroll to Run program at /PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP, and press ‘X’
9. Some purple writing will come up, press ‘X’
10. You now have a 1.5 PSP

Just use installer from psp-haxors you dont have to do nothing just click “X”button and the installer set all include fw1.5 and 3.02 after that you can installe recovery folder too in the same way, when finish to load erase dxar and fw1.5 & 3.02 automatica so you dont need do nothing except erase oeupdater & %oeupdater from ms:/PSP/GAME FOLDER

It works like a dream. ISO loading is working great (although in 2.71SE-C there were a few ISO’s that would not load from XMB, not tested all of them yet on this one..). You can use Recovery mode to enable the WMA and Flash players too!!

I’m gonna install this using the easy installer. It warns you must have 75% battery charge as it writes to flash, my battery is low but will it be ok if I plug the adaptor in and flash it? I’m guessing it will, but just wanted to make sure…

Without you I would have a 2.6 or higher official FW psp, with no access to all the brilliant emulators and apps that make the psp far greater than it would be if it was only Sony making stuff for it.

Hi All,

I tried to install this on my psp, but i seem to have bricked it!!

The battery wasn’t charged enough, and i was too impatient to wait for it to charge, so i overrided the 75% battery check. Although i was using the mains adapter.

The update went ok, said it was sucessful, but my psp doesn’t boot now.

When i switch it on, the green led comes on, the backlight lights althoug nothing is shown on screen. The MS access flashes for about a second and then nothing. I have to do a hard reset or remove the battery to switch off.

I have tried to use the RECOVERY, but still nothing on the display – i did notice though the MS access’s more with R held down whilst powering on. – should there be anything on the MS to boot into?

I’ve also tried holding HOME-SELECT-START with the WI-FI on, but that just seems to switch off the psp (sometimes).

Is there anything i can do to un-brick my psp, i’m hoping it’s not fully bricked.

about Downgradeing, hows it done? no I do not have an 082 Mobo

I Have successfully installed everything and im having a few issues. pertaining to PSX emulation.
No where does it explain how to play ripped PSX .iso’s if any one knows how it works please reply to this. Also should there be some sort of blaintant PSX-EMULATOR icon? or is devhook supposed to do the emulation?

Here’s some info regarding the PSX emulator. This does not in anyway allow you to play PSX Isos. The emulator uses eboots. Originally you had to download the game on a PS3 and transfer it to your PSP the game would only run on one PSP. Now however if the game is run on a PSP with this firmware a file is generated which allows it to be played on any PSP. In theory if the eboot and the keys were somehow “circulated” you could download and play these games free of charge without a PS3. I hope that makes it clearer, however my English is not too good. :(

reki, 3.02 already have 1 month and i only know 5 games tha works on POPS. hot shot golf 2, tekken 2, crash, coolboarders and dino crisis for firmware 3.03.

if you enable FAKE REGINE to japan from the recorvery menu under the webroser you will see a new ico named PSP Portable TV….also can somewant show me how to play music went playing a UMD cause went i use to have SEc i use that homebrew that let me hear music went playing UMD but now that update it OSe 302 the hobrew that let you play music in the UMD dont want to run .evetime i boot the thing .it just send me back .so if somewant know how to play music inUMD in S302 tell me how to do it

Format your memory card and put files back in again….
Seems like there is a LOT of space that becomes hidden by the flash….

After successfully updating to 3.02 OE A, I accidently deleted my DATA.DXAR file. I cant launch any applications, iso, or the app to create a new DATA.DXAR. I recieve an error message. Anyone have any ideas?

what is all this recovery menu stuff about?when they make a downgrader for 2.8 i probably wont do this because i dont even know what half of the words on this page mean and also what is pxar dxar and all that stuff.although i am a 2.8 user se-c seemed a little less complicated to install when i read about it.(good thing im not a ta-082 )

Hi. Great work with this new custom firmware. I had a 2.60 firmware and downgraded to 1.50. I wanna know if this new 1.50 firmware can cause trouble if i upgrade to the 3.02 firmware. I have read here: http://www.psp-hacks.com/forums/about37581.html that I should upgrade to 2.0 and again to 1.5 using the MPH downgrader. Please respond. Is this a must? Or I can go with my actual firmware?

Hi updraded to 3.02 oea working a dream thanks guys, I also installed the recovery from the ultimate installer in the game menu now is a corrupt icon for the recovery can I delete this file now or should I keep it on the memory stick also which folders/Dir can I delete now from the installation. thanks

ok i dont know if this will help anyone, but i hope it does…if anyone is having problems after installing 3.02 O-EA whereby it wont boot up, and you have the power off / reboot .prx module, you need to go into recovery mode (turn psp on and hold right shoulder button) and go to plugins menu and disable it….i dont know why it wont work, but i hope this helps a few of you!!!

You can actually re enable the location free player if you want by flashing back the prx for it. If you deleted all the languages you aren’t going to use then you should have enough space. Someone said he’s done it at pspupdates i think.

i downgraded from 2.6 to 1.5 few months ago. I’ve read that this way of downgrading is not ‘clear’ as it leaves some useless files in the flash memory. Would this be a problem for installing 3.02 OE-A? Or should i upgrade to official 2.71 and downgrade back to 1.5 for then installing 3.02 OE-A? Did anyone try the following: 2.6->1.5->3.02 OE-A?

hmm, i had a 1.50 FW psp, but upgraded to 3.03 so i could plan the locco rocco demo. it was Ok, but now I want to go back to 1.5 so I can try this out. any help would be appreciated.

i have just got my PSP back from my brother in law and damn there are a hell of alot updates since i last checked this place out. I am going thorugh with this and after will update to OE-A to OE-B but right now its extracting and packing 3.02 firmware and its been like that for the past 7 minutes. Is it suppossed to take that long ? Please a little bit of advice. Plus i tried the Easy Installer and it didnt work for me it stops at 37% for the 3 times i tried it. Anyways can i ahve a little advice.
