Custom Firmware 3.02 OE-A Released

No need to wait until Xmas for this one kiddies… Dark_AleX with yet another wig splitting release — custom firmware 3.02 OE-A is now available! Most importantly the PSOne emulation DRM has been hacked! That’s right — play all your legitimately downloaded PSOne games without a problem now. Read “psx_readme.txt” for more information on how to achieve that.
Absolutely everything else you need to know is detailed in the “Readme.txt” — creating the required DXAR update file, flashing, and using both 3.02 OE + recovery menu.
Incase you’re wondering; there are certain limitations from 3.02 OE-A vs. 2.71 SE, here they are:
- No-umd mode seems to be less compatible
- 3.02 kernel homebrew: elf’s are not still supported (no real problem, you can just run them in 1.50 kernel).
- 3.02 kernel homebrew: due to a restriction added in 2.80, kernel prx’s cannot have user syscalls anymore. This is what makes psplink for 2.71 and irshell for 2.71 not to work in 3.02 kernel, althout they can be easily ported by their authors.
- Because of necessity of flash0 space, the location free player and korean font has been removed.

I tried this once, when it was released on MaxConsole, and I bricked my psp. It ended up working after I redid everything, I was just going to fast. Be careful people.

What happened to your psp isn’t a full brick. Thats what I think ‘Whatever’ (Nice name btw) meant.
If it had been a full brick you would have been f’ed your PSP wouldn’t even turn on.

I tried to enter the System Settings Menu but I gut the wierd blue screen with different languages error.
I tried to play ISOs, and Homebrew placed in the GAME150 folder and it get stuck in sony gameboot screen..
Any ideas guys…
Got to make it work…. by tricking it.
I entered the recovery mode and selected the Run PSP/GAME/RECOVERY/EBOOT.PBP
When it could not find the UPDATE.PBP file it will restart and will remove previous settings and allow you to reenter.
Now it works perfectly.

It really worked, you should try it, i just created a folder called ISO in the root of the ms, put madden07 there, went on to game on the menu, and it was there, played it, everything seems to be working fine.
Thx. I can now run my ISO’s (backup;)! Was trying to run them from the GAME folder - like a tw*t!
