VCS CheatDevice v2.2 Released

Cheat your way by wreaking havoc through Vice City — there’s no better way! And to help achieve that is Edison Carter with a new release of the popular Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories Cheat Device for DevHook. Most importantly it supports the latest DevHook release, v0.51.0100! Aside from that, here are the latest additions in v2.2:

Some notes…
CheatDevice for VCS runs as a PRX, so you need to run VCS through DevHook to use it. Install the PRX by running CheatDeviceInstall.exe or read the instructions in readme.txt if you prefer to do it by hand.
IMPORTANT NOTE: After installing, wait at least 30 seconds before turning off USB or pulling out your memory stick. The PC caches your changes and doesn’t write them out until a while later. If your memory card gets corrupt, use “chkdsk /f X:” I advise against saving your game after using cheats. Please note that when you spawn vehicles, you are using a game cheat that will lower your criminal rating!

You can use it with 2.71 SE-C too, but only if you DONT USE THE MP3 PLUGIN!!!!! I Have tried it, if its activ you have no sond and no Home button!

Finally I’ve been waiting for this for like ever…. Hover cars wooooooooooo!…….. just need drive on walls and Im happy
any one else get this working? i couldnt get this to work – it would cause devhook to hang and crash while booting my backup.
i put vcscheatdevice.prx in X:\dh\kd
and added: ms0:/dh/kd/vcscheatdevice.prx
in X:\dh\302\f0\kd\pspbtcnf_game_dh.txt
eeker – use up and left trigger to toggle the cheat menu on and off.
does anyone know if there is anyway to save your game while using the cheat? if u try to save, it crashes
My psp Crashes as well I believe it can only be use with the actual UMD not a backup …….. I lost my GTA:VCS UMD so yeah but I think if you had 2.71 SE-C you could put the .prx file in SEplugins and load it from there
I’ve noticed with the new version (2.2) there is no Step Up/Down cheat :(
I miss this cheat, because when my cars, bikes get stuck in the road i can get them out, and it is useful if your under a bridge and want to get onto the bridge without trying to find the bridge entrance. Please add this back on Edison :). But other then that great :)

Hmm… I’ve been using this cheatdevice thingie for a while now and all of the sudden last night, it no longer loads. Hmm… It just locks up my psp when it tries to load vcs.. Hmmmm…..
Hmmm… nm… I did the chkdsk /f i: thingie and it worked.. hmm..
anybody know where i can find a DevHook?
