All-in-One DevHook v0.51.0100 Package

greg | December 11, 2006

Calling all noobs! Here we have Zephyrus’ all-in-one DevHook package for both standard 1.50/2.71 SE users and folks running 2.71 with HEN-D — the TA-082 motherboard crowd.

These two packages are bundled with everything you require, hence the “All-in-One” title. As well as the usual from Zephyrus — a structured noob-friendly approach with an extremely detailed readme. The readme will guide you through installing “DevHook v0.51.0100″ with firmware 3.02, or any other firmware for that matter. Keep in mind 2.8x-3.0x require a sigchecked dump, unique to your PSP.

Currently, there are two packages for you to choose from. If you’re on firmware 1.50 - 2.71 SE, the first pack “ZAiO-DH0510100.zip” is what you should get as it contains everything you need to know to go through, and most importantly, getting firmware 3.02 to load successfully on DevHook v0.51.0100.

The other package, “ZAiO_HEND-DH0510100.zip”, is obviously for users with firmware 2.71 on the cursed TA-082 mobo as it includes HEND and everything else needed, from getting your sigchecked 3.02 dump, running DevHook v0.51.0100 and emulating 3.02 successfully. A glimpse of what’s inside the package: HEND, DEVHOOK0.4X (with included 1.50 dump) and 0.51 launcher port for 2.71 by Dark_AleX, and tommydanger’s DevHook Firmware Installer v0.5b.

Zephyrus personally recommends it’d be best that current HEN users back up their important data, and perform a fresh format of the memory stick before installing this pack.

He’d also like to extend his thanks to tommydanger from the QJ forums for his DevHook Firmware Installer v0.5b.

Download:
DevHook v0.51.0100 Package for 1.50 - 2.71 SE
DevHook v0.51.0100 HEN-D Package for 2.71 (TA-082 owners)

Comment by hellfireagg

why do you do that? just use a downgrader to get 1.5 and install 2.71sec you got a lot more options and great support

Comment by Zephyrus
2006-12-11 22:17:53

Yeah, it works on any 2.71 firmware PSP. But if you don’t have a TA-082 mobo, just downgrade your PSP with updateflasher.

I’ve got a pack here:

I have the same problem and too am new to PSP Homebrew. I have created the ISO folder and copied the ISO in. Now how do I launch it? Do I use the dev hook .5 Beta and tell it to load ISO and point it at the ISO file? If so that does not work! All I have go the patch kit to do is boot a real game the required a 2.81 upgrade. But I want to use it to boot my homebrew stuff. How should I go about booting ISO’s in my ISO folder?

If you’re using SE-C you have to copy the specified folders to the GAME150 folder, not the GAME folder. Failure to do so will cause your PSP to simply shut down when trying to run the programs.

You could also change the kernal mode from the recovery menu instead, but it’s easier to just copy the folders to GAME150.

Hi helper, I’m being a total noob, got the iso folder on the root with an iso file. When I start up Devhook, I select ‘UMD Select’ then ‘File Emulation’ and then select the ISO.
The CPU clock is set to 333/166MHz
For instance if I select the 3.01 firmware then start Devhook, my PSP reboots with the Firmware set to 3.01, the game is no where to be seen.
When I try and run Devhook again I get “This game cannot be started. The data is corrupted”.
Any help would be mostly appreciated.

You’ll just have to go to the Photo menu each time you restart your PSP and run HEND, then when it reboots after an successful execution of HEND, run the DEVHOOK0.51 launcher BETA for 2.71 in the Game menu and do the rest. To put it simply, you’ll have to repeat just that step if you ever restart your PSP (hard reset, not standby mode though). Read the readme for a tad bit more info. ^_^

2006-12-11 22:24:10

Yes, you can upgrade to 2.71 firmwar and then install using my pack. There’s nothing left for you on 2.6, TA-082 users should all get 2.71, but don’t go beyond that. ^_^

I see no point on releasing more packages/firmware until Devhook doesn´t achieve 333MHz WiFi and full stability (this applies to the packages as they have moddified stuff)

“Beta” packages are released. Now the next release should be a 3.02 with no reboots, no X-O changes, no lockups at 333MHz Wifi, etc.

Hi Zephyrus. I have a 2.7 FW TA-082. I got up to the step 2 folder and after I flashed and start the devhook, the screen just goes black, sometimes it goes into it but then it frezzes. I found out it was the umd, when I take it out it emulates 3.01 but when I pop the umd back in it frezzes. I followed every step that you told me to do. Do you know what the problem is?

I even installed the 2.82 and 3.00 devhook, both failed to work, but I got to 2.82 and it saids “The disc could not be read.”

Comment by Zephyrus

Download the desired firmware you want to install, well, DevHook 0.51 supports only 2.8-3.02 right now, so yeah, once you get the desired update you want, throw the EBOOT.PBP into the root of your memory stick, replacing the 3.02 one that I had it my package and run the installer. It’ll auto detect the version of your firmware and dumps it + throw into /dh/xxx/ folder (xxx being the firmware dumped).

this SAYS devhook 51.0100 FOR TA082
is it 51.0100 or just 51.0000? (for ta082)

Comment by Zephyrus
2006-12-11 22:32:31

It is v0.51.0100. The launcher for 0.51.0100 did not change from 0.51.0000. The update was in the dh/05/kd/ folder, devhook.prx (this is the 0.51.0100 update) and a few others. Therefore, it is v0.51.0100 for TA-082 users.

Well, you didn’t read the readme, because I’ve added instructions in there. Please read the readme before you do anything next time. To fix your button back to the US/EU style, you’ll have to redump the 3.02 with the US/EU installer. Refer to readme for more info.

To fix your button back to your US/EU set, just follow the instructions from the readme and replace the existing installer with the one in the US/EU folder, then do a re-dump of 3.02 (make sure you have the 3.02 EBOOT.PBP at the root of memstick) and you’re all good. ^_^

Throw in the installer US-EU folder to the root of your memstick and replace the existing installer over, then do a redump and you should be fine. Ma
