All-in-One DevHook v0.51.0100 Package
greg | December 11, 2006
Calling all noobs! Here we have Zephyrus’ all-in-one DevHook package for both standard 1.50/2.71 SE users and folks running 2.71 with HEN-D — the TA-082 motherboard crowd.
These two packages are bundled with everything you require, hence the “All-in-One” title. As well as the usual from Zephyrus — a structured noob-friendly approach with an extremely detailed readme. The readme will guide you through installing “DevHook v0.51.0100″ with firmware 3.02, or any other firmware for that matter. Keep in mind 2.8x-3.0x require a sigchecked dump, unique to your PSP.
Currently, there are two packages for you to choose from. If you’re on firmware 1.50 - 2.71 SE, the first pack “ZAiO-DH0510100.zip” is what you should get as it contains everything you need to know to go through, and most importantly, getting firmware 3.02 to load successfully on DevHook v0.51.0100.
The other package, “ZAiO_HEND-DH0510100.zip”, is obviously for users with firmware 2.71 on the cursed TA-082 mobo as it includes HEND and everything else needed, from getting your sigchecked 3.02 dump, running DevHook v0.51.0100 and emulating 3.02 successfully. A glimpse of what’s inside the package: HEND, DEVHOOK0.4X (with included 1.50 dump) and 0.51 launcher port for 2.71 by Dark_AleX, and tommydanger’s DevHook Firmware Installer v0.5b.
Zephyrus personally recommends it’d be best that current HEN users back up their important data, and perform a fresh format of the memory stick before installing this pack.
He’d also like to extend his thanks to tommydanger from the QJ forums for his DevHook Firmware Installer v0.5b.

TODAY IS ITS THE BIRTHDAY OF THE PSP !!!
THE PSP IS 2 YEARS OLD !!! :D ;D :D
Well tell me if I did something wrong here. I installed the 3.02 update via the network update. Was that a stupid thing to do, or can I still be able to use DevHook.

No way Dude! You is now screwed. Go buy another PSP from ebay, cos that one you got is now useless on homebrew community.
(I think I would prefer to brick my PSP than upgrade it to 3.xx)
has dis gt fixed bugs? eg WiFi workn on 333 clock speed?
wait, lemme get this straight, THIS WORKS FOR 2.82???????
No, 2.71 se.
christmas is here! downgrader please ::((((((((((((
I will love you forever
Loaded up great. But where do i copy my ISO’s to?
make a folder in the root of your mem card called ISO and dump your iso’s there
I cant get this to work! downloaded, installed as per instructions but when i run the firmware installer in just switches off…i’m running 2.71sec…anyone got any ideas?
I Do have the same problem, I’m runnign a 2.71 SE-C version, formated my Memory Stick before i’ve done anything but still it always switches off when i’m trying to run the Devhook Firmware Installer on my PSP, help.
fou´nd the answer, jsut hav to switch back to 1.5 kernel by going uinto the recovery mode ( when switch on ur psp just hold the R button)
thnx, switched from 2.71 to 1.5 kernel and it worked fine.
How do you switch back exactly?? Can you say what to to when you’re in recovery mode?
nope! dis does not wrok 4 2.82. only 4 1.50 nd 2.71 se users.
absolutely mint top job
holly monkey it worked like a charm. way to go on this.. you guys rock
I got a question, might be a stupid one but,.. oh well. So, Does the HEND version work on a PSP with firmware 2.71 even though it doesn’t have a TA-082 motherboard? Thx in advance.
why do you do that? just use a downgrader to get 1.5 and install 2.71sec you got a lot more options and great support
Yeah, it works on any 2.71 firmware PSP. But if you don’t have a TA-082 mobo, just downgrade your PSP with updateflasher.
I’ve got a pack here:
http://www.black-chronos.net/ZAiO_HEND-updateflasher.zip
Thx for the replies. Downloading it now. :)
Worked like a charm… A GREAT time saver!
Finally a easy install. Dam u geeks, why can’t u keep it simple. Gosh dangit
Btw Screw u Sony :P
god…. why make tons of packages that are still in BETA stadium… omg.is this pointless or just stupid?
i got to say this it is the most easy installer i have ever used thus far kudos to all who are responsible for this and god bless psp hacks!!!!
Works fine, no need to write to the flash, works fine by just selecting the firmware.
i am having probs with smackdown 07 it keeps freezing can anyone help many thanks
mines doin it to…. help mke my svr 07 freezes sometimes when i play it
Yup, me too. ISO or UMD?
It works on my 2.71 TA-082 psp with no problems.
thanks.
I have a 2.6 ta-082 mb, and I want 2 run ISO’s… can it B done with this? thanx…
oh, should I upgrade 2 2.71 before I do anything else?,,.
Upgrade your PSP to firmware 2.71 before you do anything else. ^_^
upgrade to 2.71 devhook works on that fw for ta-082
superb job, worked excellently !!!! what a legend
I got devhook v0.510100 working on my psp but I had to downgrade to 1.50 install it and then upgrade back to 2.71 SE-C and drag and drop devhook unto the 150 game folder
Hello, I’ve installed Devhook on my 1.5 PSP, I’m new to the Devhooking world and was wondering how I go about playing my backed-up ISO’s? Cheers Ears.
If you took time to read early comments here, they say you can just make an ISO folder in the root of your MS and drop your ISO’s in there.
I have the same problem and too am new to PSP Homebrew. I have created the ISO folder and copied the ISO in. Now how do I launch it? Do I use the dev hook .5 Beta and tell it to load ISO and point it at the ISO file? If so that does not work! All I have go the patch kit to do is boot a real game the required a 2.81 upgrade. But I want to use it to boot my homebrew stuff. How should I go about booting ISO’s in my ISO folder?
works well
to run isos off of devhook all you do is make a folder called iso in the root of your memory stick then you place an iso n there and then start up devhook and select the iso file!! kk any problems comment and i will help
Ok Helper I am a complete Noob to this I need help like I am talking about step by step I have downloaded a few new games , I can’t get anything to run without athis familiar gretting ” DATA IS CORRUPTED ” Can you please help , I don’t even know what firmware is thats how bad I am at this I do know I had the old DevHook installed and my PsP was downgraded , I would love to start playing but I am so lost ………….

Hi Derek, Please can you help me? My MSN and or Email warren.murphy@gmail.com. Same problem as Zunom, The packages looks great just the It can’t do any thing with the ISO’s in the folder… :(
O.k. , sorry it to so long here is my email address and yes I do use MSN messenger add me as your contact ……. if your serious thank you sooooooooooooo much I just saw the new wrestling………. lorenzmunoz@hotmail.com
that or otherwise if you have 2.71-2.80 hybrid mod which is cool up the A** then you could just put ‘em there and load them from the XMB… cool huh?……
imma try this right now. thnxs booster for all your work making this happen and thank you zephyrus for making this noob friendly package for those of us unfortunate enough to have ta-082. i hope sumday there is a downgrader for our mother boards but until then ill be happy to use hen-d and devhook! MERRY X-MAS
If you’re using SE-C you have to copy the specified folders to the GAME150 folder, not the GAME folder. Failure to do so will cause your PSP to simply shut down when trying to run the programs.
You could also change the kernal mode from the recovery menu instead, but it’s easier to just copy the folders to GAME150.
Hi helper, I’m being a total noob, got the iso folder on the root with an iso file. When I start up Devhook, I select ‘UMD Select’ then ‘File Emulation’ and then select the ISO.
The CPU clock is set to 333/166MHz
For instance if I select the 3.01 firmware then start Devhook, my PSP reboots with the Firmware set to 3.01, the game is no where to be seen.
When I try and run Devhook again I get “This game cannot be started. The data is corrupted”.
Any help would be mostly appreciated.
Do you have a UMD in the drive? You need a UMD in the drive for file emulation.
man so simple nice job all you really have to do is press x
This kicks arse!! Finally I’m able to use my cursed PSP with the T-082 MB to do my bidding! HA HA HA!!! Anywayz, here’s my quick noob question. Do I have to go through a similar procedure when I boot up or will it automatically emulate the 3.02 FW? Thanks for your help in advance . . .
You’ll just have to go to the Photo menu each time you restart your PSP and run HEND, then when it reboots after an successful execution of HEND, run the DEVHOOK0.51 launcher BETA for 2.71 in the Game menu and do the rest. To put it simply, you’ll have to repeat just that step if you ever restart your PSP (hard reset, not standby mode though). Read the readme for a tad bit more info. ^_^
ok so if i have a 2.6 TA-082 i can upgrade to 2.71 firmware then install the HEN-D and use DEVHOOK?
Yes, you can upgrade to 2.71 firmwar and then install using my pack. There’s nothing left for you on 2.6, TA-082 users should all get 2.71, but don’t go beyond that. ^_^
I see no point on releasing more packages/firmware until Devhook doesn´t achieve 333MHz WiFi and full stability (this applies to the packages as they have moddified stuff)
“Beta” packages are released. Now the next release should be a 3.02 with no reboots, no X-O changes, no lockups at 333MHz Wifi, etc.
Devhook sucks. I can play games without needing a memory stick. You’re all n00bs who cant afford to live.
I used to program but there was alot of alcohol between then and now and so I need and apreciate these easy installers . thanx
does anybody keep gettin frozen screen on s v r 2007 or is da iso bad……….. heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeellllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllpppppppppppppppppppppppppppp please……….
wow you have a slider bar thingy, i want one too……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. :-)
Hi Zephyrus. I have a 2.7 FW TA-082. I got up to the step 2 folder and after I flashed and start the devhook, the screen just goes black, sometimes it goes into it but then it frezzes. I found out it was the umd, when I take it out it emulates 3.01 but when I pop the umd back in it frezzes. I followed every step that you told me to do. Do you know what the problem is?
I even installed the 2.82 and 3.00 devhook, both failed to work, but I got to 2.82 and it saids “The disc could not be read.”
I’m sorry but I’ve never encountered such an problem. I’ve personally done testing on my own TA-082 firmwae 2.71 set and it works perfectly.
nice job, i like that you made it easyer. but i have a problem, i ran the firmware installer, then i selected devhook beta, but when it gets to the devhook menu screen it freezes. what should i do?
I’d like to know what firmware are you on right now before I can help you out.
Dear Zephyrus! I’m a new user of PSP and I’m having a problem which i just Upgrad FW to 3.2 and all my game won’t work. I try to Install DevHook 0.51 to my PSP but I can’t run it,All time it said game is corrupted. Please avise me how do i check my PSP motherboard Name as i don’t see TA-802 at all, and my PSP is Made in Japan! Thanks for your help!
Let me get it straight, now your PSP firmware is 3.02? Dude, you can’t run anything on 3.02. Homebrews and stuff only works on firmware 2.71 and below. If you have a 3.02, you’re screwed.
Thanks you very much for you infor Zephyrus! do you have any sugession to get back all my game work on FW3.02? or i will through out my PSP? I’m really hate this kind of thing to sort out with PSP, Sony try to make something shit for that. Do you think i might got risk to downgrade even it’s not work for 3.02?
how do i dump a 2.8 firmware?
Download the desired firmware you want to install, well, DevHook 0.51 supports only 2.8-3.02 right now, so yeah, once you get the desired update you want, throw the EBOOT.PBP into the root of your memory stick, replacing the 3.02 one that I had it my package and run the installer. It’ll auto detect the version of your firmware and dumps it + throw into /dh/xxx/ folder (xxx being the firmware dumped).
Nice job! - All done in 5 min
3.02 & Homebrew woohooo
theres a few probs that i have reconized with thtis version i dont know if anybody is having problems but it seems that button schemes are mixed when it comes to x and o they seemed to switched ? and u cant exit the games being emluated via 3.02 it jus freezes but the things that gets me the most is the buttons has any noticed this
this SAYS devhook 51.0100 FOR TA082
is it 51.0100 or just 51.0000? (for ta082)
It is v0.51.0100. The launcher for 0.51.0100 did not change from 0.51.0000. The update was in the dh/05/kd/ folder, devhook.prx (this is the 0.51.0100 update) and a few others. Therefore, it is v0.51.0100 for TA-082 users.
Well, you didn’t read the readme, because I’ve added instructions in there. Please read the readme before you do anything next time. To fix your button back to the US/EU style, you’ll have to redump the 3.02 with the US/EU installer. Refer to readme for more info.
As for the random freezes, it’s because DevHook 0.51 is still in beta, therefore there are still bugs and this is just one of them.
So far so good. Bravo!
i copied everything into the mem stick. but when i try to run the devhook firmware installer it says [game could not be started 80010002] and i’m on 1.5. this happens wit devhook .51 also. but my devhook .46 still works on my psp
just finished installing and it works great!! except if didnt read the x/o button config part and now my devhook is like the japanese button config and i dont know how to change it back…..but thats minor…….everything else worked great…..damn those visualizers are kool!!! THANKS FOR THIS!!!!
To fix your button back to your US/EU set, just follow the instructions from the readme and replace the existing installer with the one in the US/EU folder, then do a re-dump of 3.02 (make sure you have the 3.02 EBOOT.PBP at the root of memstick) and you’re all good. ^_^
my problem occured after i downgraded from 2.71 SE back to 1.5. any suggestions?
how to fix the x/o to return to US/EU setup, the readme fix doesnt seem to work
Throw in the installer US-EU folder to the root of your memstick and replace the existing installer over, then do a redump and you should be fine. Ma
