Installed this, working great, only problem is that it crashes when trying to load .cso files, but running games from UMD works just like normal and I can now get into the system settings. Fix the CSO (and possible ISO) error and this will be good to go out of beta.

i have no problems running .CSO files its just my internet isnt working and i was just using it under 3.01, or is it 3.02 that is giving the problem?

My guide is only applicable if you have already this file:
a.) Devhook v0.51.0100
b.)pasrdump
c.) extracted firmware 3.02 DATA.psar ( extracted using PBP unpacker)
d.) created f1 folder :
ms0:\dh\301\f1\dic
ms0:\dh\301\f1\registry
ms0:\dh\301\f1\vsh
ms0:\dh\301\f1\vsh\theme
ms0:\dh\301\f1\gps
ms0:\dh\301\f1\net
ms0:\dh\301\f1\net\http

1.50 and SE-C

1.) BEFORE YOU BEGIN DO THIS:
a.) If you have the previous devhook50 ( 2.82 emulation) and devhook51 (3.01 emulation)uninstall the config file,
Run devhook go to flashinstall then choose uninstall DH files from flash1 then remove all devhook file from your memory stick

b.) If you have the previous devhook46 and 45 just remove all devhook file from your memory stick

2.) Placing the needed file

for 1.50
Copy data.psar, dh to the root of your memory stick then psardump%/pasrdump2% and dh05beta/dh05beta% to GAME folder then copy f1 folder to dh/301

For SEC
Copy data.psar, dh to the root of your memory stick then psardump%/pasrdump2% and dh05beta/dh05beta% to GAME150 folder folder then copy f1 folder to dh/301

3.) Creating firmware 3.02 signcheck (unique)

Run psardumper to your psp then press X a couple of lines will appear and will automatically exit after 10 sec.

4.) The F0 and f0
Now connect your psp to your pc. Inside the root of your memory stick you will see a new folder named F0 copy the folder insde dh/301 it will replace the f0 folder inside then you need to rename the f0 folder to F0 ( capital F and number zero)

5.) Installing devhook config file to your psp
Run devhook, go to “flashinstall”, press circle on “install configfile to flash1”
After it installed go to firmware menu. Then choose 3.01 then chose your iso then start you’ll be emulating firmware 3.02, yup 3.02 not 3.01

Adam, here is how to do it the way I did, and it worked just fine for me (I have a 1.5 PSP, no SE 2.71 or whatever). Here ya go:

Download all the files needed, which are:
DevHook v0.51.0100
PSAR Dumper
PSP Firmware Update (I chose 3.02)
PBP Unpacker

1) Make sure you have NO other trace of older DH’s on your PSP. And remove the flashed dh files from f1 if it has been flashed before hand.

2) Put DevHook v0.51.0100 and PSAR Dumper on your PSP.

3) Use PBP Unpacker to “extract” Data.psar from the 3.02 FW Update, and put Data.psar onto the root of your MS (where the PSP, dh, and fbm folders are).

4) Go to PSAR Dumper on your PSP, and once it is started up, press (x) to decrypt and all that jazz. Let it finish and go back to the PSP home XMB all by its own.

5) Move the folder “F0″ to the folder “302″ in “dh”. Say “Yes to all” when it comes up with the screen (on XP computers at least) saying it will replace the contents of the original f0.

6) Now boot up DH, and try it out with FIRMWARE 3.02 chosen. Set the clock to 266/133 as Im too lazy and havent really tried the other CPU clocking numbers. I tried it without any flashing of f1, and it worked just fine for me.

Note: Just so you know, I have only tried this all on a ver. 1.5 PSP with the CW Cheat device installed on it. Everything has worked fine with File emulation for me too. So good luck to you!

Oh, and it may run into the blue screen that says system is corrupted or something after starting DH, just press O and it should all work out.

Possible to just copy new DH files over old ones if .51 was working before this update? or do i have to go through whole process of redumping firmware and such? I’ve got 3.01 and 3.02 working with .51 but noticed I need both for newer 2.8x+ games. a few only work on 3.02 while not under 3.01 and vice versa. Like SW:LA only 3.02 while Thrillsville 3.01. I have the config file for the 3.02 file flashed.

By the way follow the guides and should work fine.

2- Does this new firmware series come equipped with a PS1 emu or what? I have read all kinds of stuff about how download the games and use usb and a PS3, but are these games totally stand-alone somehow or do they run off some kind of app that comes with the 3.0 firmwares? Also, if that is the case, then can that same app run your basic PS1 isos or is it made proprietary to the iso’s downloaded through the PS3 store?

i’m stupid, i upgraded to fw3.02, i’m still new with psp…. in the process of trying devhook, i realise the PSAR Dumper is meant for fw3.00/3.01, it doesn’t work with my fw3.02, anything I can do for it? Is there any PSAR Dumper for fw3.02???

lol actually i got stuck right after i said that, i start up devhook and then select 3.02 in the firmware menu, then i press umd select then i click file emulation then select my .cso file. then i click start. but it returns me to the 1.5 menu!!! enstead off 3.02!!! can anyone tell me why this is happening??? i have a feeling that this might be because i emulated 1.5 with devhook 0.45 then i clicked devhook 0.51 in the game menu? could you please get back to me asap

The game save issue still exists. :-(

This version is worse than 0.51 on 2.71SEC. Keeps on coming up with BSOD whenever I boot Devhook in either 3.01 or 3.02. Very few files written to Flash01. Seems more stable to have these files present.
I have 3.02 working on 0.51 just put PSAR dump 3.02 f0 folder where you would have put 3.01. Boot Devhook in 3.01 from menu and it says 3.02 in System Settings. Still a long way to go on the version of Devhook to make it 100% stable.

To Tomo…. so have you sorted out the psp shuttin down when you try and exit the mounted game?? If so how??

jus get 2.71se-c….. devhook/1.5 was cool when u needed to boot iso’s… now se-c does that in a reasonably up to date firmware…..id only get this jus to check out 3.02 fw, but its not even worth goin thru all this shit installing just for that…

Update on corrupted game saves… appears that games that require are written for 2.81 (per Content Manager) cannot load saves in DevHook. I tried a 1.5 game, 2.6, 2.71, and 2.81, and all the 2.81 games I tried think their game saves are corrupted. I wonder if this is an actual bug in the 3.0x firmware, or just DevHook.

I have done everything as recommended and it works fine, I able to play games but the only problem that i ‘m facing now is the shortcut “home + R” doesn’t work.
We used to use this to switch among the games but I have to turn it off (back 1.5) than activate the DevHook again.

BL… from the XMB, Hit the home button, then go to UMD Image and use the left and right buttons to select the game. Then select close menu and hit circle.

I got 3.02 running well, haven’t tried any games yet, but I still have to do the initial setup everytime I run the emulated fw. was this supposed to be fixed and I just screwed something up?

I did this exactly like I installed my previous one, I extracted the 302 from the us firmware update pbp, ran psar dumper.

I just copied devhook 51.01 over my old 51 and deleted my 301 directory, then ran devhook and chose to flash my install again, and then selected 302 and booted it.

I haven’t noticed any difference in compatibility yet. Capcom Classics Collection Reloaded crashes on me 50% of the time, but I had that problem since I first tried it on devhook .46. I probably have a bad iso.

Weird thing is, when I go to the system settings/system information screen, it says I am running 3.01. Anyone else have this problem or did I mess something up?

I have 2.71-SE-C installed. did the new devhook, and it would not save the wallpapers again, so i had to revert back to 1.5 and install it again, which helps if you have this problem. then follow the same steps as you take with the other version for 3.01 or Shin-Kazuyamon’s noob guide to devhook51 (3.02 emulation) (final). follow it to the letter. it will reset your settings for both the 3.02 and 2.71-SE-C but once you set them both up again the settings will stay, and the web browser works fine, and so does the UMD emulation. works like a charm.

socom ftb2 update file will work on any machine that emulates firmware over or at 2.81 so your ok with 3.01

ok i got it all working now, after gettin curious bout the new devhook (well, the new fw) i installed it with 3.01, it didnt work at all!! so i thort meh il delete it and wait for a good 3.02se release (not realising this had screwed with my flash1)..then i noticed i couldnt save my wallpaper, after reboot it would disappear! i couldnt live with this it would sh!t me bad… so i was working on it all day to restore my flash1…downgraders,file assistant, everything! (took ages cos we’r shaped atm)…still my wallpaper kept disappearing! so i installed the 3.02 devhook (ofcourse it didnt work for me :P) but i played round with the flash settings (hoping desperately not to brick my psp) and the config file is now ok, saving my wallpaper n everythin (they fixed some bugs in the dh3.02 config file)…so i formatted my stick, reflashed se-c to be safe and its all good now. se-c on flash0 and a non-buggy config file on flash1!!

Version 301 runs fine with me, but it goes blank with some games.

I have a PSP , but I am proud to admit I am a newbie , I can’t figure this new DEVHOOK where to put what or how to start it . I have downloaded a few games such as Star Trek tactical and this lastest one something about BiG Hunt . None work all say something about corrupted data . I have the old DevHook installed but I believe I need to do the one , does anyone have the time to help me out ?? about my noob guide if you got the devhook worked with firmware 3.01 and it emulated the 3.02 firmware, you can copy the F0 and f1 folder of 301 to 302 folder, then delete the file in 301 folder and just create a f0 folder in 301, doing this will fix the bug of selecting firmware3.01 and having 3.02 firmware emulation.

why go to 3.02 stay in 3.01 and if you want to play brother in arms just use 2.71sec man dont waste time going to 3.02 and stop asking questions is not that fucking hard

hmmm i found something that might be a problem to some people, after loading and running 3.02 certain media is restricted from being used IE (wma) and if you try to sigh the agreement you cant because you get an internal error that wont let you use the internet…at least it wont let me! does anyone know which files control these agreements and can we just copy em off of an old fw into the 3.02 directory or what…my whole music collection is WMA and id really like if i could listen to it…;) im totally not complaining because even though i thought the same idea of hacking fw’s i wouldnt have the slightest clue where to start at all, so my owed respect to all the guys DA BOOSTER and everyone else im just making a small request is all.

Here is my problem guys… I can do step 1 to 3 fine .. but I can’t get pass 4 because When I try to run the PSAR Dumper on your PSP, it shuts down (trun off) and when I reboot there is no F0 folder to Move (step 5) Move the folder “F0″ to the folder “302″ in “dh”.

3) Use PBP Unpacker to “extract” Data.psar from the 3.02 FW Update, and put Data.psar onto the root of your MS (where the PSP, dh, and fbm folders are).

4) Go to PSAR Dumper on your PSP, and once it is started up, press (x) to decrypt and all that jazz. Let it finish and go back to the PSP home XMB all by its own.

5) Move the folder “F0″ to the folder “302″ in “dh”. Say “Yes to all” when it comes up with the screen (on XP computers at least) saying it will replace the contents of the original f0.

I install Devhook 0.51 on Firmware 3.02 and did every thing as needed .. After I load the devhook and seleted fw 3.02 … load the UMD image and start devhook … but the game don’ start …(I didn’t flash)
