i dont get it, i have a normal 1.50 psp downgraded from a 2.71, i aint got the 2.71 SE or nothing. Is this just the basic Devhook which you copy and paste into the correct folders or before you do that do you have to decrypt some files and what is the 3.01 EBOOT for ????

This is a step by step guide for installing the new DevHook 0.51 along with 3.01 firmware:

1. Remove all previous DevHook files from your memory stick.

2. Copy the DevHook 0.51 package to the root of your memory stick. This would be ms0:/ and the two folders should be “dh” and “PSP”.

3. Download the 3.01 update (Google)or this site ;).

4. Get PSARDumper (search this Web site). or this site ;)

5. Extract the DATA.PSAR from the 3.01 update you’ve downloaded with a program such as PBP Unpacker. Once thats done, copy the DATA.PSAR over to the root of your memory stick.

6. Run PSARDumper on your PSP, once its loaded up press X to dump a sigchecked 3.01. Once its done your PSP will return to the main menu.

7. Open up your memory stick, you will now see that there is an “F0″ folder in the root. Move that to the “301″ folder inside of “dh”.

8. Go into the “301″ directory, move the reboot.bin into the f0 folder.

9. Launch up DevHook and go to “FLASH ROM” settings, choose install dh to flash1. DO NOT touch any of the other settings unless you know what you’re doing.

10. Finally, choose “FIRMWARE” from the DevHook menu and pick 3.01. Now start DevHook and you should be good to go!

I Had DevHook .50 and i had all kinds of problems with the web browser, are these problems still present? I don’t wanna get my hopes up and get it and find out it don’t work. Please someone let me know if the web browser function works in here….

To all the clueless people asking if this will work on TA-082 - NO. it won’t. You still need 1.50 or a modified firmware to run it.
It emulates 3.01, which is why you need the 3.01 eboot to extract the firmware.

but devhook works for the ta-082 to emulate 1.5-2.7 why wouldn’t it work for 3.1

Awesome news, this really gets me pumped! My only question is to its workability. Is this a beta like .50, or the full version? That was great to be able to play ISO’s and UMD’s, but was nowhere close to as smooth and usable as .46 emulating 2.71. Is DH .51 running 3.01 just as smooth as .46 running 2.71, or not? I’m really excited to see this, but if it is in fact a beta, I’ll probably wait for the full version. Either way, great work, Booster! Can’t wait to try it out!!

p.s. Does anyone know if the PSX emulator works and if you can run regular PSX ROMs or not?

OK for people who dont no DevHook is a firmware sort of “firmware emulator” and an iso loader it DOES NOT upgrade your psp! it only emulates the firmware in this case 3.01. wait for Chaos Zero to give you a rundown. oh and cutos to BOOSTER for this accomplishment.

users: devhook .5 works with hend but u have to hex edit it, so im guessing this one will work too. we just have to wait for a hex edited one.

When 3.01 loads up it just comes up with the system info corruped thing (the blue screen) and wen i press circle the memory stick flashes for a second then the screen goes black for 4 seconds then it turns off?!?!?! WFT? its just not working
