1-question though

will this work with the new firmware/devhook just released?

If you read the comments on the other 2 0.50 post’s. ppl are saying that they are having problems with the Devhook not seeing the USB. My guess is that the new devhook needs mods to be made for it. I dunno. I haven’t even tried it out. I’m waiting on Devhook with full 3.01 Emulation. I’m using the 0.46_full 2.71 - 301 Hybrid and all games work with it so far.

What’s the difference of the Devhook .46 with USB mod and the 3.01 Hybrid? Anyways, nice program!

Diference is that the 3.01 hybrid has decrypted 3.01 firmware files in it and can run the 2.8*+ Games. I read a comment on the 0.50 comments. Quote: Yeaaaahhhh now i can play socom fireteam bravo 2 online. Or Quote: Yes, I can play Cabalas - African Safari. Socom works just fine. Tho Cabela’s boots just past the TOS and locks up. Some play some don’t. But, I think that the Cabalas - African Safari I have isn’t working properly anyways.

Etreme Link business:
Etreme Link is still in the making. There’s a few things that I wanna do to it before releasing another version. So keep an eye out. But, just not anytime soon. lol…

Post this on the other Comment section but here,
http://www.torrentspy.com/torrent/925685/PSP_Extreme_Link_Mega_Installer_1_2_8b

Full install of all needed files. PSP Firmware 1.5 Needed

And what do you mean turn the Game/App/Homebrew folders into iso’s? They aren’t an iso thing. BTW, the PSP Game is for that.

I just finished the ISO folder form. But like i said above. I still wanna do some other things to it before releasing the next version.

The problem is you’re not following the Directions that it has in the Readme Help’s.

Extreme Link

1. Select Drive
2. Double click Up or down into to the ISO folder. - ISO, CSO, DAX files will show on the right hand window.

Note: ISO, CSO, DAX files CAN NOT be in a ROOT DIRECTORY ISO Folder. ISO Folder must be in a Sub-Folder. Example: X:\PSP\ISO\ X:\GAMES\ISO\ X:\ANYTHING \ISO\ - X = Your drive!

3. Click Execute (OK) - This will toss commands to usbhostfs.exe and open with that folder with the files…

Have problem with the instructions REREAD them!

To send ISO’s to the PSP you’ll need to Click View/Open List/Right click IMG

Devhook doesn’t run homebrew. You have to be in 1.5 or 1.0 firmware to run homebrew. If it does then maybe I’m wrong somewhere and never knew that it could. But, As far as I knew that Devhook is only a front end Emulation to a firmware that is patched NOT to run homebrew. This is why 1.0 or 1.5 is needed.

ISO’s to the PSP, Yes they can be put into the PSP and run off there. You put them in the Root of the PSP under an ISO folder. If you have a big enough mem stick and can do it. This App(Extreme Link) was made for them ppl that don’t have a big enough mem stick and wanna atleast play something on there PSP. Although you have to be hard wired to the PC to play on your PSP. Small price to pay to PLAY. lol…..

Extreme Link:
Still working on it but here’s a screen shot of the latest. Refaced, Added, Bug fixed.

hey quake i did find the problem… the older devhook will load iso right off the root

it gives you the usbhostfs directory
like it will read

x:\need for speed.iso

the newer devhook will only read isos from sub dir

x:\iso\need for speed.iso
how do i get the newer devhook to act like the older?

no offence intended quake but i have read the ReadMe 100 times follow each step
the extreme link sees the cso file in the console window
usbhostf_pcexe now runs with connected to device but devhook does not see the cso. even when I restart it…
this means I am overlooking some thing that is why I am posting…

There’s Devhook out there that doesn’t see the USB TypeB Connection. I noticed this on the 0.46 Dehook. I could start the Normal Devhook and look for all settings needed and then try the ISO/CSO/DAX files in Devhook and it wouldn’tr see them. But, If you use a GUI_DevHook Redo all the settings the GUI DevHook See’s them. %__SCE__GuiDevhook __SCE__GuiDevhook… The Mega installer from the Link above has the GUI Devhook. On that GUI the arrows left and right to change then X to select UMD Select up down arrow to select IMG file and then X to select then arrow left right to select start. If you use the above mega installer make sure that the DevHook you have in your PSP is Erased before install of the 2.71 - 3.01 Hybrid.

Make sure You have a UMD disc in the PSP. Thats is the importent part also. The UMD disc can be the Demo disc that came with your PSP. doesn’t matter what UMD you have in it. This only works with one in there. If you have the NO UMD disc mod then it might work with out it then. I dunno. I don’t have that mod. Dunno if it’s real or just a rumor.

Then there’s the factor that if the Folder path that has the IMG’s has unknown charactors. It won’t see the path right. But if they are in a sub folder like :/PSP/ISO then it won’t have a problem. Also make sure that the ISO folder Is capitalized as in ISO not iso. The usbhost_fs is made to see capital ISO folder. I didn’t do the usbhost_fs. It was just made that way.

I’ve X’ed the Custom Extension. For what I use on Folder browsing, It limits me.

Anyways. I put the ability to use Nethost but need help for the CMD Structures.

This is what i got out of the NetHostfs.

-p port: TCP port number, default 7513
-l login_password: Password for client PSP to login
-c max_clients: Maximum number of client PSPs, valid range 4-1000, default 20
-r: Restrict to Read-Only access

I’d try this out myself but I have no wireless connection.

That could be alot of factors in place.

1. To much Applications running at the same time.
2. Tomany Spyware on your computer
3. The USB card (Wether it be on board or off.) is faulty.
4. The USB Cable connection is disconnecting while moving the PSP.

Personally I don’t know. I only run into the problem of the Cable disconnecting while moving the PSP.
