People getting error message: If you are running 2.71 – C than you should put the dumper folders into GAME150… That worked for me…

Guys don’t download this BETA yet. Trust Me!! It took me a Long Ass Time To make this work and what i got is a 2.82 firmware, that seem like 2.71 and below. And the bad thing is after everything is set up, and you configurate everything, all the configuration u did is going to be a real Drag and Waste of your time. Also the RSS is will crash and boot u right back to 1.5, believe me. So just stay with your Original Devhook hook for now, and using that Flash is a risk of a Brick. O_O”

p.s, U don’t have listen to what just said, but im just trying to save your time until BOOSTER releases a better DEVHOOK 2.8x emulator.

i followed all instructions in the readme , all went right and ok but when i choose firmware 2.82 then start devhook it is emulated ok and the emulated firmware gives the blue screen error when i press circle 2.82 reboots and give the same blue screen error , i pressed
circle again and again but the error keeps popping up i don’t know what to do i can’t get to 2.82 XMB :(

my PSP shuts down and will not boot up DevHook w/o getting the blue screen and no matter how many times i press circle, it restarts and does it again…i can get back to my Firmware 1.5, but when i load DevHook again, it still does the blue screen

Can someone please help me with this? I’ve installed the auto installer, and when I go to boot up devhook my screen turns blank. The EBOOT boots up, but when I select start, nothing happens. I also select to emulate 2.82 firmware. Can someone please help?

this is cool and all but it doesnt exactly make the instilation much easier why cant we just have a installer package that does it all like we did with devhook 0.46

anyone who’s gotten this to work, have they tried the wifi connectivity? I finally got 2.82 to work, (tacking my f1 folder from dh/271) thereby bypassing the “reset system settings” screen… (which endlessly looped, like 14.) but now there’s no connectivity. The network setup works fine, but the browser and, (for the game I tested) Exit’s online downloader doesn’t work… They hang hard. Any ideas? I assume it’s not liking my f1 folder but if the system setting reset won’t work, (even one you’re on the XMB; I had to erese the f1 folder it created and drop my 271 back in) where can we get the correct 2.82 files?

Well i did it all word by word and never got the blue screen that said corrupt…. I got a weird screen that looked similar to devhook but in my xmb this didn’t come with a revert back to 1.5 firmware. kinda distraught on that i liked it. But gonna try out a game to see if it works. for me

ok uninstall flash1 and flash 0 with devhook hit any button psp reboots reformat mem stick then take your back up dh and psp file and copy them to psp

I think this download is incomplete. I obtained another one at psp-haxors.com and i didnt even flash the psp and it worked. The site also has two versions. Both for 2.71 SE and 1.5 users. I can finally play Socom. Props to the chaos and others

I´m running on 2.71C, everithing goes right with this installer but Pro Evo 6 does not work…after you choose a language and apears konami and other stuff PSP still in black screen…

Damn!! My PSP boots up into 2.82, but I’m stuck. The buttons don’t respond. It is not on hold either, I think it may have something to do with my stuck down HOME button. I will have to try this tomorrow with my Other PSP, do you guys have any suggestions?

Run the Ultimate Installer v1.5 to put all files on your memory stick.
On your PSP, go to your GAME menu. Select PSAR Dumper.
When the PSAR Dumper loads, press X.
There will be lines of text on your PSP. The 2.82 firmware is now being put on your PSP’s memory stick.
When the dumper is complete, turn off your PSP, not just standby, but right off.
Turn your PSP on and activate the USB Connection.
On your memory card root, you will see a newly created F0 folder.
Run the file “DevHook Setup.bat”
After a second, disconnect the USB and go to your GAME menu. Launch DevHook 0.50.
Go to the “FLASH ROM” menu.
If you flashed the DevHook files from DevHook 0.46, remove those first.
Choose “flash1:

To mike, thx alot, got 0.46 back. I figured that’s all I would have to do, but I wanted to make sure. I’m sure that if I tried it again, it would work fine, but the thing is I don’t really need it yet, as I don’t have any UMD’s requiring FW higher than 2.71, and I don’t use ISO’s yet, and nothing but 1.5 was working as it was. So, if I get a 2.8x UMD, I can always try it again then. If not, I can just wait until Booster finishes the full version and install it then. Good stuff, though, thx alot to everyone who helped make this possible!

I had problems with this but formated stick and run steps 1-9 then 13 on (skipped the flash section) and works AOK.

i was looking forward to having an emulated 2.82 fw on my 1.5,but i tryed for a bit to install devhook 50 and cant get it to work, idont know if im missing any vital files (i.e. 2.82 fw eboot ) or i keep messing up the instilation but i thought that every thing i needed was in the instilation pack.iv read a lot of comments and my problem keeps coming up ,at the end of the instilation when the blue error message appears i press o and it just keeps looping round . so i think i will wait now untill something simpler comes allong………. psp rules ………..

I got the 2.82 firmware to run alright, but I’m now running into the firmware freezing whenever I change the clock speed to anything but default. Anyone know a fix to this?

I’m still dealing with the lack of online… Trying to think outside the box: do you guys who have the online working have the previous firmware files? (the 271 folder with all its goodies from devhook .46) I’m loading DH .50 on a “virgin” card, (at least that she says…;p) I’ve done it a few times now, using the Ultimate loader 1.5.1, and I’m still hard crashing in the browser. What bugs me is we’re all doing the same thing basically… why are there such varied results?

And as it stands, let me say thank you to Booster, Chaos Zero, and everyone here for being supportive… Even with this last issue I’ve got, it still looks like Metal Gear: PO is on!

I got it working eventually on mine but seems to be quite buggy as i got multiple lock ups and iso’s dont always work.

Also the main issue i have with it is after you have run though the initial set up (Time, Date, PSP name etc) it does not save the configuration and it has to be entered everytime. I have gone back to devhook packaged with 2.71SE with uses the 2.71 Flash files and saves room on the mem stick for now.

Im sure that Booster will fix all the bugs hence this being a BETA version and im sure he released it into the wild to get a good idea of what needs to be fixed so when the proper release comes out it will be as solid as a rock!

Respekt to Booster, Dark Alex and all the coders that make this stuff happen and ignore all the Noobs posting stupid comments all the time :D

@ #93 & Everyone having issues with the corrupt files and having to press O and then being stuck in a loop.

Just make sure the following folders are created on ya memstick:

dh\282\f1\dic
dh\282\f1\gps
dh\282\f1\net
dh\282\f1\net\http
dh\282\f1\vsh
dh\282\f1\vsh\theme

Without these folders the config cant be saved/reset. This worked for me anyway.

Personally The Best Dev Hook was and still is 0.46 running upto 2.71

This new dev hook which is suppose support versions upto 2.82 is totally unstable and I request to everyone DO NOT USE IT!!

Basically this new Dev Hook nearly screwed up my Jap PSP for good.

This new Dev Hook has not been fully tested in my eyes and others would probably agree with me.

I think Dark Alex needs to get involved in the re-development of Dev Hook to bring out version which would be user friendly and more importantly stable.

I feel this is a major let down to the whole PSP Homebrew community, when so much was expected.
Anyway I’m waiting till there is Dev Hook to support 3.01 fully tested & stable.

ok this is what I did I thought I would share it with u all I have 2 mem sticks so I left my devhook 046 setup on my 4 gig and on my 1 gig I put devhook 0.50 and now all I have to do to go back to 0.46 is just switch mem cards and it works 100 percent so if I wanna play socom 2 I just put my 1 gig in its a little annoying but it works atleast untill a stable release of devhook comes out

I think I messed up my psp now I cant use any form of devhook. I flashed it with some data.psr file or something and afterward everytime I start devhook it turns black after a few seconds and I even tried erasing all previous versions and putting in the older version and it still does thr same thing.

how am I sopposed to flash rom already when i already have done that and when I try redoing it it says “cant find data.psar in memory root” also how do I know what files exaclty Im sopposed to remove and where do I get config file to install?

the flash rom is an option in the devhook main menu, but id refrain from doing that right now, as i cant seem to get it to load more than that first time with the 2.82 FW

PSP appears to just go to a black screen when you select ’start’ on devhook. This is when the CPU clock is 333/166Mhz. If you select cpu speed ‘default’ FW 2.8 loads up fine. Even then if I try to go on the internet browser it will crash. Hmmmmm I hope a much better release is on it’s way it’s quite buggy. Nice to know there’s progress on nailing later FW’s though =P

even at 233 it still crashed, and now I cant use previous devhooks without crashing since I already flashed it with 2.82 and I dont even know if I can update and back down again without bricking it?

dev .50 will crash if you change the speed, just set it to zero and it will be fine.
if you want to go back to 1.5 fw , best to remove 2.82 flash ( were you flash it firsted, there should be an option to delete devhook 2.81 files) then reload your psp and gotorecovery folder(pressing r trigger on load up and goto recovery)

Well DH0.50 went down realy well…………..not! But aye thanks all the same Booster & ChaosZero for all your hard work with DH. No dought it will be one of your masterpieces soon. And i just can’t wait till DH gets to emulating FW 3.00 & 3.01 because soon we have a GPS adaptor being released thats usable on fw 3.00(http://psp-news.dcemu.co.uk/gps-receiver-arriving-dec-7th-44679.html). Yes PSP as a Satnav :D

Anyway we’ll see. I for one am going to hold off for future releases of DH. But what a superb bit of software it is. Thank you again to all involved so far. *bows*

I updated my psp from dev0.46/emulating 2.71 on 1.5. This beta works for me, but I don’t feel as comfortable as I did with my 46, you know?
(and i didn’t backup my important psp files…-__-; but i did backup my photos…argh. stupid.) I didn know this was beta, lol. so i thought it was a ood stable version.

So given my position, whats the BEST way to revert back to my 0.46 settings? (remember, i didn’t backup before 0.5)

HELP!!! I’ve been tryg so many things and i’m giving up now. I’m running a 2.81. I d/l games and bought game packs. I followed all instructions, but wen I wanna play my games, it’s stated there: this game is corrupted. I doubt its the game, cuz how could all the games are corrupted. Is it my memstick? or my psp?

how do i get the program to start. For some reason the files for the Devhook were not in the game folder. The dump was there but the other wasnt.

where is the flash rom program it not under my folder as a program.

I have 2.80, and if i run this, then i can play any homebrew, like lets say emulators or games right? Could i play a emulator said to run on 1.5?
