You read the title correctly — BOOSTER is back in full effect with a fresh version of DevHook! And yup, firmware 2.80, 2.81, and 2.82 are fully supported — you’ll of course require the decrypted FW dumps to achieve DevHook emulation. There’s also word on the street that 3.00/3.01 may be supported in the very near future.
Huge props to BOOSTER for accomplishing this wonderful feat. And all the other hard-working PSP developers out there.

you have to read the fwinstall.txt file word for word
and it worked for me
ps. you have to copy the audio.prx from fw 2.71 to 2.82 :)

This should work on ALL SE versions (though SE-C may have some problems)
Oh and SOCOM: FTB2 online has been confirmed WORKING (or so has been said over at MaxConsole Forums)

Since the forums have been down for a while I’ll ask this here. When Metal Gear comes out next week will it require 2.8 or 3.0? I want to get this but I dont know if I should since a few great games are coming out next week that might need 3.0. Also will there be a installer for this Devhook Chaos Zero? :) Great work Booster!

Well I tried this and I can not get it to work. All I got for 2.82 was the brick screen where you can press O to reset the configuration but it did nothing. Can someone post a zipped DH folder that I can drag and drop on my mem stick with 2.82 FW?

For some reason, the photo plugin is corrupted and doesn’t work… does this happen to anyone else?
When I run DevHook 0.50 with 2.82, it loads and then shows the blue screen of death saying my settings are corrupt, whatever. I press circle, it reboots 2.82 and I just get the same screen again.
The only thing I didn’t do according to the instructions was not to flash DevHook to flash0. Is that what is causing this problem?

I think Chaos Zero is out of commission until he can raise enough bucks to get another PSP. His unit got bricked earlier in the month. He has a link up at his site if anyone cares to donate (which reminds me that I should give him something soon. As a Mac user, I’d be without any DH without his Full Install packages. I’d rank him up there with Dark Alex and Anonymous Coder.)

You need to install the config files to Flash1 like the readme says. Don’t worry though. I have 2.71SE-C and it still worked fine.
Waits for Devhook with full 3.0* to come out. Wants the PS1 Emulator. Devhook 2.71 - 3.01 Hybrid is already working.
The only question I have is, Why the Flash install?

I can confirm with myself and many others that this will not load up on 2.71 SE-C but 1.50 for sure should work….. not too sure about 2.71 SE-B through SE-B”…
I also cannot get this to load though SE-C can anyone confirm it works with SE-B” though?

2.82 works with my AIO Package.
I have used 2 seperate installer packages and both do the same. I have to move the eboot into the GAME150 folder for devhook to load at all otherwise it hangs at the PSP logo loading screen.
After this it runs and i can see the menu and choose a umd/iso but once press start the psp screen goes black and turns off after a few seconds? Do i have to install the flash1 config file to get it to start as i dont want to do this unless absolutly necessary?

How come we have to dump our own 2.8x on devhook 0.50
but on DH 0.46 the 2.7x dumps are already there,
why isent the 2.8x with devhook 0.50?.

It was never included. You probably downloaded the ultimate installer which was made by ChaosZero and not BOOSTER.

To the contrary, I am using 2.71 SE-C. I am emulating 2.80 flawlessly. Heres the exact tools I used:
-3.01 Decrypter by NOOBZ team
-2.71 and 2.80 update eboots
-PBP unpacker
-And of course devhook .5
after i select to start the 2.82 firmware …my screen turns black and 10 sec later my psp shuts down? yes i am running 1.50

thanks to all those that have packaged it up for us having issues. I am still having issues, I am following every step exactly. When atempting to launch 2.8x it goes black then shuts down 10 sec later. I guess this release will just no work for some of us 1.50 users.

@91, my package has an english readme. It has been tested by me and I can confirm that it works. I’m currently uploading a physical installer and will post it shortly ;-).
I’ve downloaded the packes (AIO) and does this manually and I can confirm that it just Isn’t working, everytime I got to start, It just shuts off after a few seconds.
Great! Now I’m gonna perform a dance to send the gods to help booster with 3.01. Then we’ll have all the power again!….. but for now, I’m gonna mess around with my 2.82!

Loaded, I followed your very easy to use Devhook pacakage and I got the same result as when I went ahead and decrypted and installed the Firmware files myself; a black screen that lasts 10 seconds and then my PSP shuts off. I am using FW 1.50 and I installed the config files to flash.
Hm… I did put the fixed sound file in there… sound works for me. I’ll upload it separately one sec…

guys i don’t think u can use someone else’s package because the files have a signature which is different for every psp. you probably have to follow all directions and do this urselves.

You can use anyone’s files, it’s just the flashing you have to do independently.
