After I ran the flash, the psp restarted and gave me the 10 different languages screen. “O” worked though, and there were no problems. So don’t freak out if it happens to you….

hey i read somwhere (on this site) that if u downgraded from 2.71 to 1.50 using the easy installer that u got some custom files or what not. so u have to upgrade to 2.00 then downgrade back to 1.50 to get a clean flash. as i downgraded from 2.71 would i need to do that? or could i just use this installer to instal the custom firmware.

it is 2.71 se-c but with devhook, and you have to run devhook and once in the normal xmb of 2.71( not special edition) you will have higher compatablity with games from psp that require 2.80 firmware

halo sucks vagina… anyways what exactly does this program do is it a custom firmware that boots in devhook or does it change your 1.5 firmware or is it for people with 2.71? i am so confused with this custom firmware stuff.

you download it off 1.50 psps and SE is a custom firmware that lets you take advantage of playing homebrew and having the flash browser advantages of 2.71. devhook on the other hand is a firmware emulator that lets you”emulate” another firmware

i have made levels for half-life 1 + 2 and farcry and have modeled textured a car and imported it into far cry (which is much freakin better than halo btw so stfu). Why mod an average game with meh graphics… no point. Any ways i figured this thingy out so nvm my question above.

simply put it takes time to decrypt and find loopholes in the firmware

works like a charm..use recovery to get back to 1.5.then use installer to get 2.71 SE-C W/ 2.71/2.80 Hybrid DevHook..Enjoy!

hi i read some where that this firmware alows you to run prx file of the ms instead of flash ..what is a prx file???and when would i use it …sorry if it sounds silly

prx modules let you do things such as listen to music in the xmb or in the game at any time, or overclock the psp, or take screenshots of stuff while in game

Will this work on a 2.71FW non-ta-82 psp with nothing else installed, such as HEN-C?

2.71SE-C is a modified firmware , with it you can run most homebrew and iso’s directly without having to run devhook and reboot all the time, among other things. The hybrid devhook will let you run 2.80 and 2.81 games that won’t run on se-c. There are a few, but not that many that I’ve come across

Hi all, i’ve got one question. Can i install this custom firmware on a TA-082 motherboard? I know all ’bout HEN-D & e.t.c., but i want to load games without DevHook, so will this 2.71 SE-C installer brake my PSP (repeat - 2.71, TA-082)?

@ #62 Yes you can, when you start your psp hold down the R button and it will take you into a Recovery Menu. Under the configuration menu you can disable the SCE logo which will also disable the autoloading of the UMD :D

@ #64 when u start the Firmware installer Hold down the L button and the triangle this will bypass the battery check. Use at your own risk though!

Oh and i would just like to say i updated to SE-C from SE-B” with no problems at all. Big up all that are working hard and making all the things i want to do with my PSP possible. 2.71SE is the best firmware ever it has all the advantages of all the other firmwares with none of the disadvantages. Cant see why anyone would wanna stay on 1.5 and keep having to load devhook all the time?

I have downloaded and installed this program but when i try and run the red 2.71 SE-C Firmware install from the PSP the white PSP logo appears, it waits for 10 seconds and then the PSP powers off…

What am i doing wrong ?? Please help!

Big up to Chaos Zeros latest installer, have loaded this with no issues and currently works with most of 2.81 games, this is by far the best we have seen yet, for all who can’t get this to work download SE B on FW 1.5 psp, follow flash instructions and then download and install SE-C, i have done 8 of these with no issues.

i haven’t keep up with the scene about the SE A,B, and C but i heard that IRShell is currently not running with SE A, B, or C. If this is correct then…i found a way to run IRShell. If people already know how than that’s my bad but if not than post here if you wanna know.

The install is not stopped at 70%, it just takes a little break and then continues. Just let it alone ant it will finish when it wants to. As for dark alex he is one of the smartest people on the face of the earth(who is not in the employ of the millitary industrial complex) and i just hope he continues as he has brought brightness to our lives and has made my world a better happier place( as my psp breaks down more and more, people like dark alex makes it work again with their software after sony has deserted people like me)

wow…for sum reason the program won’t fully install =/…it stops at 70% then freezes

can someone explain this question about devhook for me

when you go to firmware in the options you have all these options 1.5 on up and one says (flash)

but when i select any of the other firmware they never work i select the umd/iso and hit start the screen goes blank and nothing happens

does flash mean the firmware i am currently using… if so how do i get the others to flash with dev hook …

im kinda new to all this so any help would be great …. thanks guys/gals
