Updated 2.71 SE-B” irsmp3 Module

joek2100 has released an update to the MP3 PRX module we’ve all grown to love; well, at least I have anyway. Nothing I enjoy more than listening to Snoop Dogg while tearing up the streets of Vice City.
v0.3 [and v0.3a] improve greatly on stability preventing many crashes as the playlist no longer requires extra allocated memory.
0.3a: Added more CPU speeds
Added a brightness toggle including maximum brightness(the one that normally requires your psp to be plugged in) (NOT E+X)
Controls (The Note button is to the left of select):
- Note + Left Trigger = pause/resume playback
- Note + Right Trigger = switch playback mode between random and sequential
- Note + D-Pad Left = previous song (only in sequential mode)
- Note + D-Pad Right = next song
- Note + Triangle = Change CPU speed
- Note + Square = Toggle On Screen Display (default off)
- Note + Circle = Reload list of mp3 files (needed if you change the files in the music folder using usb)
- Note + Cross = Change brightness level (from current up to maximum)
When “READY” is displayed in the bottom left hand corner, press ‘Note + Left Trigger’ to start playback.

i cant get it work for xmb.. when i install it for xmb the xmb wont boot anymore (brick) but thank god for the recovery menu :D
nevermind… i already got it working. For people which had the same problem.. my problem was that i had the option (from recovery menu) that the GAME folder was for 1.50 kernel.. but you must set it to 2.71 kernel en put the flasher in the GAME150 folder…

hey guys.. im a bit late on the hacking side.. i lost my psp and just found it, and i dont know whats new in the hacking world cuz i havnt had my psp since sony released 2.6.. whats new?? and waht can i get to play homebrew on my psp?
@9 You ethier need custome Firmware or a 1.50 psp to run all the good homebrew. I personally use Dark Alex’s custome 2.71 SE-B3…..anyways…dose anyone knw if u can have subfolders and still work this?
hmm can this module get flashed to a plain ol’ 1.5 cuz i dont feel like moving on to 2.71 se yet and so i was just wonderin.
@11 no, it can not…u will most likely Brick if u do and if u went to SE and u didnt like it then u could always use its built in recovery mode

GREAT!! It work for xmb. Now can read comics while listening to mp3 :).
But….Through game it doesnt work,it hangs at start up. No matter i’ve other alternative for running mp3 through game for now.
does any one know if there is an mugen port for the psp yet?
9, You will need to downgrade to 1.5 first (assuming you dont have a ta-82), then you can run most homebrew. I recommend upgrading to 2.71 then downgrading using DA’s generic downgrader. If you need help with this, you can email me skoomaeater@gmail.com or my aim is skoomaeater. I’ll run you through the steps.
I didnt think it worked too well… I was playing Dynasty Warriors 2 and the mp3s played perfect.. but it slowed down my game play… I tried changing the cpu speeds… but it didnt help any.
same here, i got bricked after installing the xmb plug-in, i’m hoping for a successful recovery right now…

There is 9 cpu clock selections. Can u tell me frequency for each mode?

is there an ultimate devhook instaler for 2.71se-b
nice plugin if it works rite, i have three problems, one is note + square displays nothing, two is 1st mp3 plays fine but from the 2nd on it plays twice the normal speed, third problem is that it slows down tennis game to almost slow motion.
any clues guys ?
hmm ok thanx #12 and yea i worded it wrong, like i did had cf and then i was like hmm ill try this 2.71 se, and well i thought cf (harlyG’s) was better and so i uninstalled 2.71se and reinstalled hg’s cf. also umm why wouldnt this module flash to 1.5, isnt 2.71 se supposed to be an enhanced glorified version of 1.5 that has the capabilities of 2.71, also could you put this in the devhook folder with all of the prx’s and would it work
it wont work for me the game on everytime i try to load the game it freezes at startup can someone help me plez

i got bricked with this app but thanks to dark alexs 2.71 se-3 i recovered it to 1.5 and then back to 2.71se-3 not sure why it bricked but all the settings were correct should have worked is there a problem with the stabillity ov this app………thanks psp-hacks
@25 blady/ have you tryed not using the xmb version and wait till the game has fully loaded before activateing it and are you using custom firmware 2.71 se or normal 1.5 version psp.
