There is just 1 thing.. i’ve got the se-b3 update and the cwcheat but wi-fi doesnt work in games.. It didnt work either when i tried with the overclock update to 300mhz with wi-fi working…

Yep, I was thinking of whether I should get GTA:VCS because I didn’t want to use it in devhook but SE, and with this update, it’s the best. =D

@brokie: hey, probably it’s incompatible, uninstall them and wait for future updates then. or maybe they work, just that you should remove them before you installed SEB3 and reinstall them after you’ve updated.

Has anyone been able to run the ‘load from usb (pc)’ devhook using the ‘noumd’ function from the built in firmware version? I’ld like to run a game from my pc with the noumd option enabled. didnt know if this was possible or not?

but i do still have something to ask.. i got no prob with my 2.71SE-B’.. but i tried to downgrade my neighbor’s 2.71 psp to upgrade it to 2.71se. but my problem is, i can’t get HEN_C to work. what i did was installed ookm’s henc no redflash autoexec, it said it installed but when i tried to load any homebrew, i won’t work… so please does anyone knows a way so i could help my neighbor downgrade, and until install up to this cool 2.71seB”?? please help…

I just got done installing it. Works great so far. VCS is working fine with no UMD in and so are a few other new titles I just got.

@18: I recommend you to check if its a ta-082 before you downgrade. And, don’t use 0okm’s crap, because i personally dont use it. Just get the Update Flasher full package I made some time ago that can help to downgrade any 2.71 PSP to 1.5 as long as its not a ta-082, or it’ll brick. ^_^

@29. First off, .CSO won’t work without a jerky framerate. The best option is to extract the .iso and recompile it using UMDGen. That shaves off about 400 megs and takes it down to 1200mb. I guess if you deleted the radio stations and cutscenes you could drop it lower.. But I couldn’t bare the thought of that.

I just got a 2GB stick. Carries more games, and only cost £25 anyway.

I rather get the UMD than to get the CSO, this way, I can load it with SE, and it doesn’t takes up my memstick space. =P

You can only install this on a non-TA-082 PSP with fw1.50. If you try to install this on a TA-082 PSP, it will brick.

i have a big problem i need HELP!!! im trying to bring my psp back to firmware 1.50 and i dont know how to they say use the recovery folder but how it dosent show in the game menu where exactly to i have to go wat to i have to do can someone plez help PLEZZZ!!!

To return to 1.5, just hold the R trigger on power up. The recovery window comes up. Chose the run program at /psp/game/recovery/eboot.pbp and that should do it.

ATV Pro(v2.81 cso) not working with UMD & No-UMD option. Loaded up…past the gameboot intro…reading the ms(blicking)… froze with black screen…psp turned off.

Fifa 2007 seems to start fine, but at the ¨¨FIFA 07¨ screen, you don´t get past that with no-umd, when using umd option, you´ll get right to where it´s loading the game of your teams selected, of course, as before a crash, but not sure if choosing all teams do this.

fyi : i noticed that the corrupt icon hider doesnt seem to work for the ‘RECOVERY’ folder in the PSP/GAME folder.

hey i found 2 games that dont work, avatar and monster hunter. i believe i remember reading that you wanted this reported.

I can’t beleive I went out and bought a refurbished PSP for $160 just to play GTA VCS, it is great, and yeah I said I was gonna wait but couldn’t. So now my son on his 11th B-day will get the 2.82 FW PSP. Now that 2.71SEB3 is installed I can play the UMD as well as all my other CSO’s and Homebrew apps. Dark_Alex rules!

Well i just updated my 2.71 B into 2.71B3

and then i tryed to run wipeout pure whitout any umd, and then i got a The game could not be started (80020321) error, any1 know why this happens? and mayb what i can do to fix this?

I noticed that a few that used my SE packs actually encountered some problems with the included devhook, therefore, I took the time to remake the pack and named it v2 as well as a fix patch for those who are already using my package.

The first link is the link to the new SE-B3 pack of mine, with DH fixed and a few other stuff. While the second link is the DH-FIX for those who has already gotten my SE-A/B/B2/B3 pack from the comments section or through other means.

is this 2.71SE really good and can i upgrade to a normal fw even if i have this custom fw installed. will this still be updated if sony releases more fw. cuz im thinking of using this or upgrading to 2.8 since i rarely use homebrews and is it easy to use and install?

@r: Yes, this is good, it lets you play most of the 2.8X required games.. and it’s pretty easy to install if you’d ask me. Don’t upgrade your PSP to 2.8 and above.. you’ll come to regret it one day.

@Zephyrus and to anyone who can answer. if i have it installed can i still be able to upgrade to a normal firmware like 2.8. i dont really use homebrew and iso loaders cause i didnt buy the psp just for its memory drive i also bought for the umd drive. but what i like is overclocking and multitasking can it play music while playing games.

@r: yes, you’ll still be able to update, although it’s dangerous and might brick your PSP if you do a direct upgrade to 2.8 and above from SE. You can uninstall it before upgrading by using the recovery mode. Well, 2.71 SE lets you play any UMD that requires up to 2.8X for most, so there’s no need to update until there are games that requires 3.00 released. It can lay music while playing games, just get the irmusic plugin/module and install it yourself. I’ll not provide a guide to that.
