Just wondering what can you do with those version will it work on any PSP, is this one where you need the chip, or what is the benefit? I installed and didnt help me at all, I couldnt run Homebrew…. I was so hard to go back to 1.5… Please explain I am a newbie :)

Okay, I actually thought the fix was awesome until I had some stupid anime crap all over my PSP. Now when I boot up 2.71 with the HENC WiFi fix, I get some anime shit and then the gameboots are all some slideshow of more anime shit, how can I change this?

i’m using 1.5 fw now, must i upgrade to 2.71 before i i install this?

5, no, you need to have fw 1.50 to install this, and you can easily revert back to 1.50 if you choose by reading the readme file.

3, This firmware can run “almost” all 1.50 homebrew and 2.71 hen homebrew, and have all the benefits of 2.71 (Web browser, rss, flash, wma, etc…) If you are having problems with it, view the readme or forums for proper installation and execution instructions.

@Sir Orange: Oops, I included some personal stuff in my 2.71 dump. Sorry. To change the wallpaper you have right now, just go to Theme Settings > Wallpaper > Do Not Use. Then you can change the theme’s color yourself. As for the gameboot, replace the dh/271/flash0/vsh/resource/gameboot.pmf with the default gameboot which can be found in your dh/150/flash0/vsh/resource/ folder if you’ve used the previous package which included the 1.50 dump.

just updated to 2.71 SE- B2 . how do you clock your cpu to 333 ?

If you meant CPU as XMB, then you can’t. But if you want to overclock your UMD games, ISO/CSOs, you can install the overclocking module.

so ive installed “Upgrade from SE-A or SE-B to SE-B2 ” option. Has 2.71 SE -B2 HAVE the overclocking module in it or is the update just for running no umds?

Erm.. the overclocking module is a seperate module.. it’s in the PSP Hacks frontpage news.. The SE-B2 just fixes the ISO folder bug, as well as adding the experimental NO-UMD feature..

just got hen c to work, but cant get dev hook going. plus got some new eloader but it suxs. it always tells me emu crash.. its a tiff loader cuz my gta got crazy glue on it

Just remove Harleyg’s custom firmware 0.2. I read somewhere that this firmware uses the flash 0 extensively. do i need to upgrade to 2.0 then back to 1.5 to use this

@sander: Have R pressed before you turn on the PSP, you’ll get to the recovery mode, then you can instruct it to run the recovery. Make sure you have the recovery folder together with a 1.50 eboot renamed as UPDATE.PBP in PSP/GAME/RECOVERY

@spyder52: this just a small update to SE-B which includes a ISO folder bugfix, as well as adding the NO-UMD experimental feature. You don’t have to download the installer, it’s pretty pointless, just get the SE-B’ from the original release post, then run it. It will upgrade your SE-B to SE-B’ for you. ^_^

okay first i installed SE-A and later upgraded to SE-B… Went well everything worked but then i flashed back to 1.50.. went well either.
now i’ve installed se-b again.. but when i try opening music or zooming in a pic the xmb freezes…How come?

I have upgraded to fw2.71 from a demo disc. Can I still install this upgrade or must I downgrade to 1.50 first then install the custom fw2.71?

Yes you must downgrade to 1.50 first

@Hektek, get update flasher to downgrade your PSP from 2.71 to 1.50 with ease. After that, if you’re clueless about SE, I suggest you use my package because it has an detailed readme that CZ’s installers do not offer.

TA-082 Motheboard can use Hen-C on 2.71 FW ??
anybody can explain me how to see if my motherboard is TA-082 ?? the serial number in my motherboard is IC6001

If it shows IC1003, then your PSP is a TA-082. But if you’ve checked properly and you see IC6001 on the left side of your PSP, it’s not a TA-082 and you can downgrade. Well, yes, TA-082 users can use HENC on their 2.71. ^_^

is this TA082 frenly? i got HENB…and i’m actually very happy with it… should i install this?

what the diffrence between henb and hen c. i have hen b on my ta082.. and it works great on loading iso. but i cant get homebrew to run. does homebrew work on 2.71 hen c? or b? if so can someone tell me how its done? thanks a bunch keep up the good work.

@folo & alex: HENC has an improved compatibility, also, alex, homebrew will only run on 2.71 if it’s for 2.71, you cant run 1.50 homebrew on your 2.71 unless you use the devhook to emulate 1.50 on your PSP.

Just upgraded to ver. 2.71 se b2 and want to know the way to downgrade back to 1.5. Please Help. The recovery file for ver. 2.71 se b does not work as it is corrupt. Is there any other method to downgrade.

ive been a psp noob about three months now, and i love the hacking world of psp. i loved it so much that i bought another PSP after two months i bought my first one. Both of my psp now are all 2.71 SE-B. and im so happy.

well i never tried any homebrew until i saw this and it is amazing, i have a 4GB stick and the ammount or my own ripped UMDs i can play on this is amazing, never going to have to take my stupid carry case ever again!

@31: no, SE is only for non-TA 1.50 users.

@33: download my SE package and use the MS root, it will have the recovery folder. it appears as corrupted in the game menu, but use it through the recovery. my pack has a readme that covers that. ^_^

@37: it’s not a tut, i just added those custom stuff myself before adding it into the pack, it was my personal stuff, and i was lazy to remove them, and i though most people wouldn’t mind, so yeah. for those who mind, just remove it with my tut.

@39: DevHook can play GTA Vice City. It has been confirmed.

@40: you can use uFlash or xFlash or any programs that allow you to change the X and O button. XFlash allows you to flash the registry files, so yeah.

@43: you must be using my HENC, if you downloaded the full pack, it should include the 1.50, just select 1.50 in devhook and you’ll be in the emulated 1.50 screen after that.

@44: that’s just the RECOVERY folder. it has been set to be seen as corrupted by Dark_AleX because he doesn’t want people using it in the GAME menu, just for the recovery menu. There’s no way of removing that unless you put the recovery folder elsewhere.

i got the devhook working, but i dont know how to set anything on the menu.. i have a 2.7fw im try to emulate 1.5fw, but anytime i try it just freezes.. an i have to hard reset..TOO Zephyrus!!!!!

@beefeater: Maybe you can try deleting the old installation and use my current new package. The full package, then after you’ve installed it, to emulate 1.50, just select firmware as 1.50 and run, that’s it, it’ll work. ^_^

I read that the new Custom Firwares dont support DAX loading . . . so would it be possible to load DAX files by running Devhook with the DAX support mod while running a custom firmware?

@beefeater: the HENC and the installers are two different things.. HENC is for 2.71, while the installers are for SE installation and stuff..

@51: yeah, you’ll be able to lod DAX files by running the DevHook with DAX support mod while running SE, or you could use the DAXZISO loader instead, it’d be better. ^_^

I cant get killzone.iso to run on Hen C, all my other games work fine. And btw can I install the latest devhook or do I have to use the one in the package?

You’ll have to stick with the one in the package, because HENC only allows you to run 2.71 homebrews and that devhook i included was the devhook that was ported over to fw2.71. Well, there are compatibility issues with ISO i presume, so, I can’t help you out there. Doubt there’s gona be a HEN D soon, so, bear with it. lol. xD

well anyway u slice it dev dont load any of the fw’s it just turns black then resets. i need this bad

I noticed that a few that used my SE packs actually encountered some problems with the included devhook, therefore, I took the time to remake the pack and named it v2 as well as a fix patch for those who are already using my package.

The first link is the link to the new SE-B3 pack of mine, with DH fixed and a few other stuff. While the second link is the DH-FIX for those who has already gotten my SE-A/B/B2/B3 pack from the comments section or through other means.

No, you can install the SE-B from 1.50. But the SE-B” will require you to update from SE-B - SE-B’(aka B2) - SE-B”(aka B3). Just get my pack and read the read it, it’s pretty clear-cut. ^_^

ive install the HENCE C and devhook for 2.71 bcoz iam a ta-082 user but when i load my iso and click start in devhook and suddenly it freeze, what should i do?

i had the same problem as 19. if you get this then just restore default settings in the system settings menu.
