i am 1.50 owner and i ran a network update in devhook just to get 2.82 udate then when i get back in 1.50 i tried to launch the Update,, and it will say corrupt data.. lol.
eve if i wanted to update my PSP wont let me.. lol MY PSP is betterthan yours!!!

Ay Guys Be Careful with this ive been messin around with flash for over a year and no problems but i semi-bricked my psp with this lil thing… it works and its easier than x-flash but be careful about file name or corrupted files .. good thing The Good ol Coders who gave us Se-B included a recovery module but incase of any severe bricking just read the instructions CAREFULLY

When 2.81 was released it took all of a few minutes for them to decrypt it. How long before this one is done?

Great! Time to upgrade my PSP.

I am spending more and more time just playing the UMD’s that I already own or rent from gamefly so I may update 1 of my PSPs to this firmware, of course keeping my 1.50 homebrew psp un-upgraded. Or I will wait till Devhook can Emulate it.

Sony, cut ur crap, you’ve already gotten Lik-Sang shut down, now ur releasing such MINOR updates that only total n00bs would actually use. Thing is, 2.81 was cracked almost instantly and now they are releasing 2.82…makes me wonder if they are doing this for GTA Vice City Stories? Will it be the first game to REQUIRE 2.82???

First things first, if GTA:VCS required this it would mean sony’s been sitting on this (GTA is out in a couple days which means the UMDs were manufactured a while ago, think about it…), highly unlikely, besides sony has never released a firmware specifically for a game.
Second, why crack this one when there will be an update with the PS3 release, you know you’d rather have that one than this piece of s@!t firmware.
Third, all of those features were included in previous firmware updates, check the update history. this is a sony ploy to disguise new security patches, you would see that if you checked the update history.

I think a lot more people are looking for a downgrade (to 1.50 :-) ) than to this upgrade…

Waiting for devhook 2.81 emulation, and 2.71SE-C….never a Sony upgrade for me unless homebrew will be enabled again by Sony, and that will be never I think

at dcemu, someone said that this actually decripts using the 2.80 decripter by DAX (kinda like how the 2 new official game demos can be decripted with the ridge racer decripter by DAX and run on 2.71 (either flash, emulated or 2.71 SE))

Also, arn’t all of those new feature actually old features, present in firmwares as low as 2.70 (2.7 had the L/R chapter skip in UMD movie feature)

Yes, 2.82 is rumored to be decryptable by DAX’s decrypter just like the last few have been (you could always check for yourself), but we’re still waiting on devhook, and yes, all of these features were in previous releases, THE ONLY THING THAT’S NEW IS THE SECURITY PATCH.

Um, okay, all those features listed, or at least HALF of them have been available since like 2.6 or so, like playing flash, saving videos from RSS feeds, etc…I really don’t see what the relevance of listing them in this latest release is. I’ll upgrade one of my two PSP’s to this so I can play the latest firmware required UMD’s…but I’m not expecting much actual “new” stuff in the download.

i understand how 1.5 beats the higher firmwares but what makes it different than 1.0? if they made a 1.5 to 1.0 downgrader for all psp’s then 1.0 would be the best firmware. just think about it.

1.5 has 2 folders you have to put in the game folder and 1.0 is 1 folder you have to put in the game folder.

no one has to update if there reason is the new demos you can edit with Dark_Alex’s decrypter and there is going to be the 3.0 update anyways and why are you all getting so mad at $ony when its your choice to update and all $ony is doing right now is basicly improving on there web browser and patching exploits that and working on the ps1 thing!

i think a 2.8 downdater is coming soon, cuz its been 2 quick updates with no new features just security, sony is finding flaws in the fw’s, if sony can find them than the devs can too, 2.8 has the tiff exploit now somone needs to find a way to get to the flash and downdate it. i was dumb enough to update to 2.8, and im not going anywhere but down from here, if a downdate im not going anywhere from 1.5 or 2.71 SE if i decide to go with that(those are pretty nice, my bros got it on his, its nice, iso straight from the game menu, no need for dev hook, its nice)

u right boy, there’s only the same foolish updates and its not better than before. if sony will takes new features in a update they should better make msn-messenger on the psp where i can get e-mails from friends jus like tha same stuff as on a pc u know. and not a rss-reader where i only can get see pictures, video and music, but not news like about psp-games. and location fp. is very increadable they could make a ‘nother way to watch tv… and not it’s “at first” required a 600 expensive station.

If you read number 4 he says that he went on dev hook then went on 2.82 and then returned to 1.50 is that possible

parsar dumper can break this file too so it wont be too long until it should work in devhook

Well,its cool to play flash games and some tiff games in 2.8 firmware,but its better to have 1.5 or 2.71,we 2.8 users are bored and sad,thinking everyday where is the eloader or the downgrader for us,we want to play homebrews and emulators,the est thing is a downgrader,we are waiting a lot,2 firmwares up us are created,how much we need to wait.
