why emulate 2.71SE on your 1.5?? Yust emulate the normal 2.71, there is totaly no reason to emulate 2.71SE as it is the same thing…and the iso and cso support you already have with devhook…so al you people with FW 1.5 stop saying that you want to emulate 2.71SE !!

At first I was hesitant to install 2.71se but afterwards, I don’t know what I was thinking. Now, giving the support for ISO/CSO; who needs emulation!!! It’s all supported. Props to everyone who makes this possible.

This works on ta-082’s just fine ..

I didn´t put 2.71 SE A on my PSP cause i was kinda scared to brick it.
The point is that i have Harley´s Customfirmware atm and i don´t know if anyone changed from that to 2.71 SE A without problems…..
But i think i´ll give it a try, this new frimware sounds amazing.
So, just to calm me down, does anyone here have experience in “upgrading” from Harley´s Custom to 2.71 SE A?

To 28, Un-install it first,then upgrade this latest version, just to be on the safe side………

@28…mate i installed 2.71SE-A from my 1.5 with harleyg’s firmware no problem. check out dcemu plenty people have done it. the installer formats your flash so it’s safe. If your extremely paranoid then follow #29 but it IS safe.

on topic…yaaaaaaaa! roll on rev b. iso’s from the xmb? no jumping through dev hoops to get various shit working? This firmware is the new 1.5! bye bye 1.5….

I love 1.5, but integrated iso and cso support is so much better. Also Dax support isn’t bad, but can’t you easily switch back and forth between file types with that iso compressor thing?

I had an original 1.5 fw psp since they came out, but when DA’s firmware came out, I upgraded instantly and have never been happier! Keep up the good work mofo!

actually emulating 2.71 SE on 1.5 through devhook has the advantage of being able to run any homebrew in 2.71, emulating normal 2.71 through devhook can only let you run a certain number of homebrews…

I take very good care of my psp. somehow, a spec of dirt got in the umd drive and it hasnt worked since. I need the next revision…. cant wait to play iso’s again :D

Stupid question, I know.. But can I update to 2.71 SE-B if I’ve got a custom gameboot/font/wallpaper/etc flashed? Or should I reflash to version 1.5 and then update?

I’m certain people have been in this position. Any takers? I only ask because I’ve already bricked one PSP (which was updating to harleyg’s and was bricked because of either A. the custom gameboot/font/etc or B. old version of Devhook flashed in the firmware).

this just messed up my psp. i updated from se to se-b and now my psp freezes when i go on the game folder. this sucks :(

yep. never even opened up my UMD door, i’ve had the sampler disc in there since i bought it. and all of a sudden it decided not to work anymore. thought it was the disc, got another game, still didnt work. sony makes some cheap ass overpriced shit, im sure theres tons of people out there with busted UMD drives. i’ve seen so many PSP’s on ebay with bad UMD drives and the systems are pretty much in prestine condition. the drive just decided to give out. i dont even have a scratch on my PSP, never dropped it, and yet the drive just gave out when it’s barely even used.
