I just don’t want to upgrade to 2.71 and find a week later they have a softdown for 2.60. I think the way things are going a logical solution is to find a softdown for 2.71 but without knowing what the dev’s are working on I don’t dare updage.

hey when i use the eloader 99 it crashes but when i use the 98 it dumps and i have a 2.60 but i think its originaly 2.50.

I have a 2.50 TA082, but when I used the eloader 99 to opened the eboot, it crashed.

I think i found out why. the program says i should use eloader 0.98 to do it.

The rules are in place so idiots and people who don’t know what they’re doing (like pEopl wHo TaK lIk diS) are less likely to try it, make a stupid mistake, and then bitch about it. It’s amazing how many people complain when somebody gives out something for free.

1. Ookum is a good man, he workds very hard to create these releases, this is a massive step.

The reason he is doing this “service” is to obviously collect the data from diff serial #’s, he can then compile a prog to do it for you if he finds a pattern, untill then we should support him.

2. If he says dont share be gratefull he is doing this for you, dont share, even if you dont understand why. (in this case sharing your personal Downgrader will brick others psp’s)

3. He needs an ISP adress as not to get .hotmail accounts. It is also the baisis of his “threat”. Dont take it as a threat, its more of protection for others. There will be a-holeswho wil advertise their downgrader and laugh as other’s psp die.

cauddy if he released the instructions on how he did it (verbatim (that means exactly, for all yall five year olds that dont know)) then people will have less of a chance of brick cuz they did it the exact way he does. so if they end up bricking then they either messed up somewhere in the instructions or the whole thing is a scam. so what i am saying is that he should release a tutorial of sorts that explains the exact process even the customization part, and like as long as you can read they can do it.

in my opinion of using ookm softdown 2.5 ta-082 to FW 1.5
the pro:
1.can play all homebrew.
2.no need umd disc in psp if u want to play ISO games ver 1.5.below( correct me if i’am wrong).
the con:
1.too complex used many step to softdown.
2.may wait long time to ookm send the files to you because there to many people who want to softdown their FW2.5 ta-082 too.
3.have risk to brick your psp.

and for those who want just play ISO games on psp and doesn’t want risk to brick the psp just upgrade to FW 2.71 and used HEN C by dark alex to emulated FW 1.5 & 2.71 trust me it run good and play all ISO games below FW 2.71.anyway thanks too ookm for his hardworking to softdown ta-082 FW 2.5(you rock man).

post 41 - u r correct with the pros but it’s not just with ver 1.5 below. I hv tried iso/cso with ver 2.0 & works great but must use dh together with RunUMD v0.0101a1 or Fastloader. Some iso ver 2.5 still compatible like “Ys The Ark of Napishtim”.

ver 2.6 up must hv umd in the drive.

I personally hv not try dh + 2.6 Train-UMD (by Train2335). Maybe can load iso/cso no UMD ver 2.6

Ok onto Isps - ISP - Internet Service Prodvider, I really dont know how to explain more then what its name explians. so if you cant get past this step turn off your modem and cancel your net service (by calling your ISP)

Ok now emails - Its a virtual Inbox that can store/ recive and send messages. Im sure if you have used a computer you have used an email service. (if you havent please return your computer and get the 100$ you paid for it back in the form of a pre-paid phonecard)

OK finally now that we go that out of the way.

ISP Email - ok if we combine the 2 we get Internet Service provided” email Adress. OMG! OMG! still dont get it? IF your email adress is Ima5yroldmolestmeplz@shaw/telus/your ISP* here.com you have an Isp provided email.
If your email is Imolestlittlechildren@hotmail/gmail.com, you do not have an ISP email.(ask to use your fathers)

farkas - if u use eloader v0.9.9, it will freezed/crashed.

if u use eloader v0.9.8, it will still freezed bcoz of the instability of the tiff exploit. dun worried it’s a known problem. just keep trying with eloader v0.9.8, eventually it will start. yr luck for it to work is roughly 1-10 trial. also make sure u format yr ms.

put O250082CnD4eL098TIFF into ms0:\PSP\GAME - inside the game folder.

put eL098TIFF into ms0:\PSP\PHOTO - inside the photo folder.

to start up the eloader more successfully, in yr psp xmb in the photo folder(icon) select view as slideshow instead of clicking the eloader. this method is more stable. hope it works

In layman term,

It’s important to restore yr psp to default setting b4 u start dumping yr psp data - this is to ensure that u have a clean “DUMP DATA” file.

Copy the “DUMP DATA” into yr pc for save keeping coz u need it to softdown yr psp later. DO NOT mess with any folder or file inside the “DUMP DATA” or it will end up bricking yr psp.

But (again) on the scene, things, code and discovenigs are shared. At least Somebody whants to keep “The Glory” for Himself. If the method is an structured one, and can be transformed into a program, it should be done. Or The Discoverer should tell other of His method if he has no time or will to program it.

In my opinion, this sould not be considered part of the Scene, because you are blind to the manipulations This Person makes to your PSP, and you have to wait This Person to be willing to work on your PSP’s code.

2.71 is getting alot of perks, but 1.5 is still ages ahead of it, 1.5 homebrew / eloaders are muhc more stable and can do alot more. and if 1.5fw owners wanna uise 2.71 they load up good ol Devhook.

maybe 2.71 willl someday be as good as 1.5, but its gonna take some more cracking.

i can do gust about everything with my 2.71 as my
1.50 and my 2.71 charge lastes longer!
