Wolfenstein 3D PSP Port

Gary13579 | September 30, 2006

I can still remember running to my friends house after school to play some Wolfenstein 3D, over and over again until we finnally beat it on “I am Death incarnate!”. It took a while, but was well worth it.

Now, the game has been ported to the PSP by TheLazy1, who also made this port to the Nintendo DS a while back. The game runs at full speed, but doesn’t have sound and game saving/loading yet.

The download links below include the shareware version of Wolfenstein, which only has the first stage.

Wolf3D Screenshot

Great job, TheLazy1!

Download: Wolfenstein 3D for firmware 1.5 or for firmwares 1.0 and 2.0+.

this game is like doom, but not the same. It is the same idea, only more realistic. In it, you face nazis instead of monsters and such (as if nazis weren’t monsters…)… anyways…

I love this game. I actually have the floppy disk installers or w/e from the computer game. I would like to see a full sound and save version but hey, this is a start, the rest seems easy to do.

kunal kunal….. use pso accelerated+ accurate software on the main menu of snes9x ,… (once you hit left on your joystick you should pop out to it (during game play)),… the default is psp accelerated, change that to what i stated and it should work fine you might need frame skip (up on joystick (during game play))

This game actually pre-dates Doom. I always laugh when people say that Doom started it all.

Awesome…I remember playing this back in the day with my friend, and making levels for it. Only problem is that the screen is too dark even on the highest brightness setting. Other than that…awesome! Bring on a version that lets us run all 6 episodes and/or SOD and I will be totally happy. I have been waiting for this game on PSP for a long time.

Just an FYI for anybody interested…Wolfenstein 3D runs pretty darned good on the latest GBSP emulator…so if you’re REALLY hard up for a Wolf3D fix, boot up the GBA rom and kill Nazis to your hearts content.

It’s been a while, but if I remember correctly, doesn’t this game run off a WAD file? Which also could run with the Doom program?

@28…..no wad with wiolf3d…they were *.wl1 and *.wl6 files

I think the main files were gamemaps, maphead, and vswap

OK cool, But its stupid SNES version works better CPU @ 300 FrameRate @ 3 … if you run Normal Size Screen, withought sound gameplay is at Full Speed. Plus you have the option Save anywhere you want. ;)
