DevHook: Screen\Video Capture Module v0.2 Released

greg | September 27, 2006

A new version of the DevHook Screen\Video Capture module has been released by ADePSP; now supporting all available titles!

Tekken Video Screenshot (sorry Dial-up users)

New Features:

16BIT VIDEO SUPPORT
The reason that some games produced purple split screen captures was because they were using 16bit display modes… Version 0.2 now supports this so works with every game we have tested… Thanks to Edison Carter for the update…

CONFIGURATION FILE ADDED
There is now a config file <psp_drive>:\dh\kd\capture.ini you can use to customize how the capture module works… You can configure which button combinations do what so it is more compatible with other DevHook modules that use the same button settings… You can control what size the Advanced Video mode records in, change the delay between frames and choose if you want it to overwrite your existing capture files or not…

Of course more details can be found here and in Readme.txt.

Great work ADePSP!

#2, I’d be interested to know which mod you are using where it didn’t work… Was it because the buttons conflict or something because you can configure them now…?

@AdePSP:
….um….he’s on a 2.80…..you can’t downgrand a 2.80 PSP……duh

@julian:
this is made by the same guy…..but yes, the cheat device only works in GTA: LCS, cause it’s kinda a save file…..so use this with DevHook, and u can do what the save can do

@ ADePSP

I’m using the chunglam devhook mod 1.62 w/vshex v1.19 could it be a conflict with regular screenshot mod assigned to note button? I’ll try to disable the screenshot function in devhook mod and see if this will work.

Does this make actual .avi movie files or .gif animated images? Would be nice to record .avi files with audio.

@ ADePSP

I disabled the screenshot funtion in the devhook mod and now this works. Very cool. Is source code released so this could be integrated with other dh mods?

Yup, means your flash. the one that can brick. So be careful. I’d rather sacrifice speed for security then risk bricking.

Just put this into the Extreme Link’s Mega installer. Used with DevHook 0.45 - DevHook Shell r14 and it’s working great. But, Even with the new Capture Mod the psp is really slow. So slow that it’s almost like watching paint dry. lol. Even after going into the ini file and changing the 100 to 10 it sped it up a bit. Maybe cause I’m not using the (Potential Bricker)Flash installed DevHook. Anyways. Extreme Link 1.2.5 Will be released here soon as I do some more work on it.

Quake.
P.S Nice work on the Capture Mod.

Hi. i’ve been taking screenshots of the PSP’s original backgrounds by themselves and some of them turn out really bright. I was just wondering if there is a way to adjust the brightness, or if that will be in another version?

Thx, Dilligaf.
