PSPkit v2.0 for Mac OS X

Iceman has released a handy little PSP manager for the Mac. It’s compatible with both architectures; meaning PowerPC and Intel based Macs are supported. You will however require Mac OS X 10.3.x or later. This doozy of an application features the following pieces of functionality (quoted from the read me):
-Under Preferences
PSP Memory Stick -> This is used to tell PSPkit where your memory stick is. You can choose this by clicking the Browse button. Your PSP must be connected and in USB mode before PSPkit will find your PSP. PSPkit will remember this name. As long as you do not change the name of your PSP on the computer, you will not have to change this again. The name of your PSP memory stick will show up in every window of PSPkit.Hide Corrupt Icons -> This will rename your homebrew games, and device hook installs so that the corrupt data icons do not show up on your PSP under firmware version 1.5, or custom firmware.
-Main Window
-DH Installer -> This tab will install any version of Device Hook version .46 or lower. It will not install version .47. In order to install properly, you must select the main devhook folder (EG- /desktop/devhook). It will only install the English version right now.-Backup And Restore -> This handy little tool will allow you to back up, and restore your memory stick contents, should anything happen to your PSP data. Click “Backup” to copy everything from your PSP, and “Restore” to restore all of your backed up data back to the PSP. “Show current backup” will display a list of your current files that are backed up on your computer.
-Homebrew Transfer -> This can be used to organize your homebrew, and rename them to hide corrupt icons if necessary. “Add New Game” will allow you to choose a new game to add to your PSP. Please select the folder WITHOUT the “%” in its name in order to be sure everything is copied correctly. If “Hide Corrupted Icons” is selected in preferences, PSPkit will rename all of the homebrew to hide the corrupt icons. View Current Games will show a list of games that you have currently on your computer to be transfered. Transfer Games will copy all of the games you have selected on your computer to your PSP’s “GAME” folder.

Whoops, I ment McDonalds, but oh well. A MAC is a Apple Computer, which is very over priced, but is great for deejays, and audiophiles. Another thing that comes from the Mac family is the famous IPOD. IPODs are very overpriced also, but everybody buys it because its small and light. Recently, some contest to run windows XP on a MAC was sponsored, and the team of guys did it. They won $15,000 bucks for it, the money came from donors coming/using paypal. Alternately, Apple Mac OSX can be run on intel computers too (PCS), you dont have to format your Windows XP, you can install it beside it. But for now, simply put, a MAC is them glossy white computers that really can’t do what windows can + they are overpriced. Good thing this little tool is for PSPer’s out there who don’t know how to load Devhook and such onto their psps.

Macs run OS X which wipes the floor with Windows XP in every way possible. Windows XP is a glitchy, bloated, peice of crap that crumbles under its own weight. If u want a modern, trouble free computing environment, get a mac and run OS X. I swear once you use it you will NEVER go back. All u Windows XP users are just used to dealing with an ancient, troublesom operating system. GET WITH THE PROGRAM GUYS!! Its 2006! Stop living in the 80s

Man, this is the only site that I have found that has mac PSP software! I love it! Keep up the good work you mac addicts!
Great tool! A few suggestions for the next version:
- In the Transfer Homebrew window, have a list of your homebrew with their respective icons, like in PSP Content Manager 1.4.
- The ability to back up one or more specific folders on a memory stick.
- The ability to view saves in a list with their respective icons, like in PSPWare (without the shareware fee ;-0)
- The ability to view photos in your PHOTO folder through the application. Maybe a drag and drop feature from a folder on the computer?

Icons (Saves, Homebrew, and otherwise) will be difficult, due to the fact that the image is contained inside the eboot files, which Mac OS cannot access without a way to open them, which would destroy the eboot. I’ll see what I can do, though.
I like the ‘one folder’ backup idea. I’ll keep that one in mind.
I can certainly do a save manager. Actually sounds like a good idea. Once again, I don’t know about Icons, but I can probably find some way to at least list them by name.
Viewing/Managing photos is definatley do-able. I’ll try to incorperate that into the next release.
