ZX-81 Emulator Updates — PSPMSX & PSPBEEP!

ZX-81 puttin’ in work with two new releases today — PSPMSX v1.0.6 & PSPBEEB v1.0.7.
First, PSPMSX. Ported from fMSX, the popular MSX series emulator. It is responsible for emulating the MSX, MSX2, and MSX2+ 8-bit home computers. v1.0.6 features:
- Icons and background images designed by Malkster
- Emulator menus reorganization (new menu for settings)
- Multiple keyboard mappings feature developped by Pou-chan: You can now toggle between 3 different keyboard mapping using LTrigger and RTrigger keys
- Add keyboard change skin option: you can add your own virtual keyboard images in the graphics directory.
- New speed limiter (more accurate)
- New feature to save and load a distinct setting file for each games
- Delete files option (in the file selector)
- Screenshots are now saved in PNG format instead of BMP
- The percent of battery left is now displayed in the emulator window
- Add a watchdog to automatically return to the emulator menu when the battery is very low (< 5%)
- Bug fix and code cleaning
Next up, PSPBEEB, emulating the classic BBC Micro computer series. It is ported from the famous BeebEm emulator running on Windows and UNIX. New in v1.0.7:
- Multiple keyboard mapping feature developped by Pou-chan: You can now toggle between 3 different keyboard mapping (using for example LTrigger and RTrigger keys)
- Bug fix in the keyboard skin chooser (that made the emu crashed)
- Add new keyboard files from Bah and Pou-chan
There you have it, two classic emulators to get your old school groove on.

MSX - Knightmare I & II, Kings Valley, Super Laydock, Metal Gear, Salamander. I loved my MSX as much as I love my PSP now. Thank you ZX-81& Marat Fayzullin. The emulation is PERFECT.

What’s wrong with making emulators for old consoles? You may not like it, but someone else out there will like it. Me, personally, am loving PSPMSX as I play through Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake.
