Dark_AleX has updated his DevHook Launcher for firmware 2.71 to include flash support. This option allows users to write certain chunks of the emulated firmware to flash, thus faster access times whilst in DevHook! This may potentially be dangerous and should be used with caution.
Quoted from the readme:
Note: i’ve hacked msreboot.bin in this version to have support of direct flash in 2.71. However you cannot have direct flash 2.71 and 2.71 emulation at the same time (the emulation of the rest of firmwares is not affected by this).
If for some reason you prefer emulate 2.71 in your 2.71 instead of the direct flash thing, just go to the folder dh/kd in the root, and rename msreboot.bin to something else, and msreboot_original.bin to msreboot.bin
Again — if you haven’t a clue, I suggest not using this. Otherwise — good luck!

messed up my psp had to buy new one so just wait 4 a better one
to #10 : I deoped the file into Ms0 then over righted and when I devhooked 2.71 but it didn’t run any hombrew, and sayd like what it allways says : the data is currupted

i was reading this over at http://pspupdates.qj.net/ and they said that Dark_Alex has edited the msreboot.bin. They also said that this was the reason why Booster’s site was shutdown because Booster edited the msreboot .bin without Sony’s consent. Do u think the same thing will happen to Dark_Alex like what happened with Booster?
No news about the waiting 2.8 eloader or downgrader???

It never seizes to amaze me how people can break their psps by not reading instructions and think.
I have been hacking my 2.71 TA-082 psp for 2 days straight and it is still good as new.
So there u go…people, use hacks at your own risk if u r cheap enuf to not buy original games.
this still cant emulate standard 1.5 programs can it? last i heard it can only run re formatted 1.5 prx style homebrews not the bpb or w/e…does that mean it still cant support any of the nes and sega emulators and so on?
they have to be re programmed first right?

Alright i tried It and IT WORKS!!!! I got 1.5 on a TA-082 Any one who claims to have had a problem w/this is a f’cking noob. The only problems I have faced is that I need the 2.71 dump and devhook did freeze upon exit on devhook on the flashed 1.5 .

dont say that cause actually downgrading ur psp to 1.5 fw is way better than reling on some shity aplicaton to emulate 1.5, plus wifii doesnt seem to work with this, I support 0okm all the way he was 1st to bring hope to ta-82ers the moment he releases a downgrader im downgrading
this is really for dark alex if he even reads the comments personally or not, i have your whats still called poc cfw and im really really fooking loving it, it goes hand and hand perfectly with anyone using devhook to emulate any firmwares, allowing me to set my psp to load devhook on auto everytime i turn it on, im just curious 1) is it ever not going to be called “poc” and 2) in the future updates or versions how hard would it be to write a soft restart prx and flasher for fw 1.5 much the same as it works for 2.xx+, i want to be able to push start+home in 1.5 and have it reset my system raher than having to hold the switch down everytime.
and on to this 2.71 rewrite, as before i am assuming it still only supports the prx style homebrews and not the ones we are all used to using and loving in 1.5 or is it a full switch over? buttom line of this question is i want to use my 1.5 nes and snes emulators in 2.71 can i?

dark alex should make the next release have the ability to go back to the emulated fw 1.5 on devhook so that u wouldn’t need to do a hard reset to get back to fw 2.71
I need a dump for atleast 2.00 or higher so i can emulatte. All I saw on psp-hacks was a 1.5 and a 2.6(which i dont know how to get this)

guy i never put dark alex down i am Grateful. but 1.5 fw is way better than EMULATED 1.5 that depends on an unstable application and your mem card and its slower than actual 1.5, your the dumdass for saying a downdater is obsolete, plus i.5 fw can do waaay more things

FW 2.71 + (devhook with 2.71F) faster than FW1.5 + (devhook with 2.71). no more lags with all my game iso. I think we dont need FW 1.5 anymore since eloader can load homebrew very well. Thanks Dark_Alex. Thanks noobs, fanjita and all team. you are awsome.
