CW Cheat v0.1.4B Released
greg | September 20, 2006
Update: Oops… quick bug fix release from weltall. CW Cheat v0.1.4B!
[CORE PRX]
- fixed a bug which didn’t permit the user to modify the value of an already present cheat or a new cheat found through search
- fixed some quick help errors
- now the current value is copied to the new cheat when adding a cheat found by searching
Download link below has been updated to reflect v0.1.4B.
weltall’s popular universal cheating device, CW Cheat, has been updated to v0.1.4 today. Functioning much like Action Replay or Gameshark this module (when used with DevHook) allows you to cheat every DevHook-compatible game under firmware emulation.
0.1.4 RELEASE
[CORE PRX]
- now it’s possible to scroll cheat by +/- 10 with RIGHT/LEFT
- now cheat scrolling is fixed and faster
- FIXED RAM PROBLEMS now cheats are allocated dynamically (although the allocation is fixed for this version)
- now it supports 550cheats * 30 codes without glitches
- db loading moved to kernel ram (this wasn’t a problem but better safe than sorry)
- diff search now uses available ram dynamically: it search for the most big chunch of ram and allocates it
- now you can load different dbs by selecting a number with LEFT/RIGHT when reload cheat database is selected and pressing then x (this is valid only for loading: writing and other functions still saves to the default db)
db 0 (default) = cheat.db
db 1 2 3 … = cheat1.db cheat2.db cheat3.db - now diff search works also if the games allocates too much ram
- now cheat value modification, cheat entry through search and fixed search value entry use a better input method where you choose the number to modify with left/right and press UP/DOWN to add a 1 to it. if you want you can edit the number in hex mode by pressing R
- 8bit conditional codes implemented they work like the original but with a 2 in the value:
*8-bit greater than - TEST CODE - 0xDaaaaaaa 0×2030dddd
*8-bit less than - TEST CODE - 0xDaaaaaaa 0×2020dddd
*8-bit not equal - TEST CODE - 0xDaaaaaaa 0×2010dddd
*8-bit equal - TEST CODE - 0xDaaaaaaa 0×2000dddd - cheat.db updated
- changes in the diff search gui text
- other optimizations
- thanks to tyranid for a function from psplink which helped me iron out those ram problems
- now it’s possible to remove with a button press all the search data

Great job!
Cool im going to have fun with this right now
…CW cheat always forks up my devhook lol….
@3
Ya mine too. For some reason It wouldn’t load the ISOs that it would with CWCheat. I don’t know why, but whatever.
DOES IT WORK WITH 2.8 FIRMWARE
stop posting these shitty fu.cking releases…….come on 2.8 devhook come the fu.ck out already….and fu.ck all u haters
i cant even find ISO’s
If you wanna find ISO’s I suggest you stop asking here and use google…hint: espalpsp or something. You 2.8 just shut up for once and wait, only time will tell when you acutally get a downgrader. If you are like the person who wants to pee but wont go…thats what/whoever is that has 2.8 and keep spamming the comments section like #5. If you upgraded and want to downgrade, I suggest you go buy a 2.6 non-ta-82 at game stop, use a need and hairdryer to carefully peel the void sticker without damaging it, peel it just enought to get the screws out, switch out the motherboards, then do everything in reverse and clean the Gamestop psp,and proceed to return it and get your damn cash back. then go home and downgrade your 2.6 psp (non-ta82). Damn spammers, this is a badass tip from me, try it and have patience like the rest of the hardware modders out here…….Phuckers…(especially the 2.8x pplz).
sewing needle (and not a safety pin) not “need” on line 8
These are only shitty releases if you where retarted enough to upgrade to 2.8
I’ll tell you what nobody cares about. 2.8 users.
I hope they never make a 2.8 downgrader, or any real homebrew for you, just because you’re so annoying.
And why don’t people use common sense?
“DOES IT WORK WITH 2.8 FIRMWARE ”
What do you think? Read the description.
“used with DevHook” if that doesn’t answer your question, you should just sell your PSP, and find a hobby that doesn’t require any brain power.
For everyone else, these are great releases. Keep up the great work guys!
Nice release. Just wished there were more codes for the games I got. The site has the codes I want…but for different regions..
dumb shits
Completely agree with # 10. By the time a new 2.80 downgrader comes out these DORKS would have upgraded again, stupid Idiots LOL
Man alot of anger out there but anyway for those of you having trouble loading your ISOs just a tip that worked for me. Make sure that you uninstall the previous version of wc cheat before installing the new. Other wise all your ISOs will just sit and lag at the intro. After uninstalling then reinstalling it seems to work just fine with mine and dev .4xx
i installed the cwcheat already but after installing it my iso’s won’t load.it will go to a black screen and the psp shuts off..can anyone tell me how to solve this?
wait wait i hope you aren’t still using the install option to update cwcheat.
it’s required to use the restore function (there is also writted update, i hope…)
using the installer function of the installer installs two cwcheat and how the memory is managed you get out of memory so be carefull with it.
it’s fine tuned to work as single but not as a double prx :P
to fix it just go in your pspbtcnf_x.txt file of the firmware and remove the double references
Nice one!
But could anybody write a tutorial how to find out new codes? I dont get it….
I agree with the guys above. If you were a big enough dumbass to upgrade, you don’t deserve shit. You should of just waited so we don’t have to put up with your constant annoying remarks and comments about “PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE MAKE A DOWNGRADER” NO. Okay? I also agree when he said he hopes no such thing comes out. I think coders should focus on 1.5 users, and not spend time attempting to downgrade 2.8 PSP’s because idiots decided they wanted Sony’s awesome protection against malicious software. Could you imagine the awesome shit we could have if the coders spent time making homebrew for 1.5’s instead of making.. what.. f’in TIFF exploits? Nice. Don’t get me wrong, all homebrew coders are awesome, it’s just 2.8 people saying “I upgraded by mistake but now I want to downgrade,” is like someone saying, “If I would of known this team I switched too was going to lose, I would of stayed back on my old winning team.” Tough shit, your choice.
Just installed this to mess around with a new char on Monster Hunter Freedom. I can’t modify the hex values at all to change the item box slot 1 code. =/ R-trigger makes me hop up and down between HEX and DEC rows. L/R on the D-Pad just moves the little [] box around. U/D on the D-Pad does absolutely nothing. I had the 1.3.8 version previously but I copy and pasted the 1.4.0 version directly over it then ran the installer. Any ideas why I can’t change the hex value?
what ever happened to good honest game play??
it’s a bug in 0.1.4 it’s resolved by 0.1.4B
Great. I was wondering why value modification doesn’t work.
i downlaoded it now what do i do??????????????????
